This is a great spot right next door too where the Cannon Ballers play. The area is cute strip with…read moreshops as well. The service was great. Enjoyed the food. It exceeded what I had in my mind. They lost a star because there were little too many bugs flying around. I ordered a drink that had a sugar rim and the mix she had made for the drink had tons of bugs flying in and around it, so I had to switch to beer. The food..we did the deviled eggs, which were good, not a wow just your basic deviled eggs nothing fancy. We got the smoked wings, fish and chips and stuffed hush puppies. Everything was good. The stuffed hush puppiss stole the show for me. They were stuffed with pimento cheese and came with a side of this garlic butter! They were absolutely amazing and so flavorful. The wings were also very good, we got the cheerwine BBQ I've never heard nor had but man, so good. The fish and chips were good. Excellent cooked seasoned fries. Two nice pieces of fish. For me the fish was little over fried, but still very enjoyable.

The George Clinton Mural was on the side of the Towel City Tavern building, so since I was already…read morethere, I decided to have lunch. Towel City Tavern has two floors and is connected to the baseball stadium. Only the first floor was open during my visit. The Cabarrus Brewing Co. serving tanks are what you see as you enter. If you order a beer, it will be fresh as it comes directly from the tanks, as it is brewed on site. The restaurant's name pays homage to the city's textile roots and the towels made at the mills. The restaurant design also incorporated the town's history with Cannon Mills. The restaurant has an industrial feel with the open kitchen, high ceilings, concrete floors, exposed brickwork and steel structures. The tables were crafted from a 160-year-old tree that fell on the mill property. There were garage doors that likely opened during the games. They offer a $10 lunch special that includes a drink, side and entree. The $10 menu had a lot to select from: sandwiches, wraps, salads, wings, and a burger. I went with the All-American burger and fries. My burger was a good size, cooked to order and tasted great. The fries were really good, too. Service was great and attentive too. I was even offered a tea to go. My waiter got me in and out of the restaurant fast so I could get to the Music Hall of Fame on time. I did stop at the mural again on my way back to the car. Parking was free in the street spots and no time limits. Although I am not sure about the rules on game days/nights. With my favorite mural on the building, I have a feeling I will be back again to try more menu items and maybe see a ballgame too.

My husband and I were in the neighborhood after grabbing coffee at Provided Coffee Co and went…read morelooking for something to eat... and wow, are we glad we did. We originally ordered the Brooklyn and the Godfather to go, but while we were waiting the smell alone convinced us to stay, and we seriously devoured both. Easily some of the best sandwiches we've ever had. Truly felt like a slice of New York tucked right into Concord, NC. We'll definitely be back to try dessert and grab one of their pre-prepared pastas for dinner. And on your way out, don't miss the little mint patty gumball-style machine by the door. Such a nostalgic touch and honestly the cutest detail. took a photo for my momma! Highly, highly recommend.

The food here is almost better than most of the Italian spots I'm accustomed to in Brooklyn. I ordered the chicken parm hero and meatball parm hero. Both were excellent! The sauce was freshly made with simple ingredients that were clearly high quality. The bread was crispy and warm authentically Italian (covered in sesame seeds the way I love) Best of all they have a small "Mercato" with carefully selected items imported from Italy. I was surprised and excited to find some of my favorite Italian cookies, breadsticks and chocolates. They even carry Italian beverages & wine. But best of all they have several prepared frozen meals like Lasagna, eggplant Parmesan and other favorites. They also had sauces and cheeses and pasta. The pastry case was filed with Italian staples like cannolis. If you're looking for a purveyor of authentic Italian items in Concord, this is definitely the spot! They have a nice outdoor dining area and a small area inside as well.
