Used to come here all the time. All the bouncers were my friends, even the manager was a friend of mine, I was really connected, then in the span of a month everybody was canned. From my times there, they have always been great. Drinks are expensive but very strong, so totally worth it. The crowd in general was late 20's-early 30's, the members only really weeded out a lot of the "douchebag" group of guys. Bottle service is top notch here, with the waitress being very attentive but not at all overly attentive. If I could still manage to get in, I would come by. read more

This is a fantastic venue for a big party or a private event you will not be sorry you went you will leave taking about the great time you had and telling your friends they need to go as soon as they can. Ok! I will admit it I am fan and a member. I have been clubbing almost 5 nights a week for the last 4 years. I have been to most every trendy nightclub here in Dallas at least once and Candleroom continues to be my favorite. I hate the pretentiousness of the Dallas Club scene. Most doormen look at guys like they are pests to be tolerated or ignored. Asking the questions "do you have a reservation?" or "are you buying a bottle?" Come-on! Give me a break! The door staff at Candle doesn't give you any of that hassle. They may tell you that you need to be dressed correctly or that you need to be a member (if it is getting crowded inside) but you won't feel like you are an "unworthy rube". Once inside you will find that this is a place that prides itself on taking care of its patrons and tries to make repeat guests out of most everyone. When I first started going there I made a point of introducing myself to the bartenders. Now when I walk up to the bar I get a "hello" and my drink without asking. They pride themselves on remembering guests names along with their drinks. I tried to get this same service at places like Suite, Dragonfly or Medici (now Lift) and no matter how often I visited or how much I tipped, the staff couldn't care less who I was or what I drank. It was a very Vegas attitude. Most of he ladies are 21-35 yrs old and HOT and many are dressed to impress. Other look like they are wearing a wardrobe inspired by "off duty exotic dancers". The guys range from 25 - 40 yrs old, average to very successful and even some dressed up muscle heads. This is a crowd that seems more interested in having fun then trying to impress anyone. Yes the drinks are higher priced than places on Lower Greenville but that is the price you pay for the "Ultra Lounge experience" and the view. I read some of the other reviews that knocked Dallas clubs for trying to be like LA clubs and coming up short. Come on! Give me a break! There are a lot of clubs in Dallas that are just as snobby as LA clubs. The good news is that The Candleroom is one of the exceptions. Look for me out and about. Candleroom is one of the only nightclubs in Dallas I'll still go to. Not only are the cocktails extraordinary for a nightclub, but the service is unparalleled. Best time to go: Wednesday Night. Dress code: Like any other nightclub, make sure you're dressed to impress (guys especially) or you may not get in. Should be a no-brainer if you're familiar with going out to nightclubs. On a Wednesday we had a bridal party who wanted to have a fun night in Dallas 2 days before the wedding. The old white guy with grey facial hair working turned us away at the door claiming the club was at capacity (it was far from full, it was actually dead) and he let another 24 people in while we waited out side. I had a good time the few times I visted to this establishment. Start with the doorman typical "DOUCHE" , but whats expected of an "elite lounge". I witness the doorman turn away 3 men dressed impeccably because they were not on this "list" that he apparently memorize every night. I cut through the guys that are explaining they have been invited by a friend *** the doorman say whats his last name REALLY dude would you like his DOB and SSN while you're giving these guys the third degree. OK i go in and i see guys wearing hoodies,sneakers,and white t-shirt seriously doorman this is "the list" wow I'm shocked and disappointed . GIRLS,GIRLS,GIRLS fellas if you're looking even come here with membership!!! ,I also witness a intoxicated female giving a guy a round house kick to the face amaze on how she did it but nevertheless hilarious, so her friends too drunk to stop her lets her duke it out with the guy till security comes *highlight of my night*. Enjoyed the music on Wednesday just was a little over-packed... BAR : look for the beautiful blonde female bartender shes's an angel always spots me trying to push past guys crowding the bar holding up the latest catch for the night hogging all the space. She makes excellent drinks and always apologizing for the other bartenders giving me the cold shoulder for the "guys". I had never heard of the Candleroom prior to last night. We went there after finding out the place we were going to was closed for renovations. I absolutely loved this place! The doorman came forward and helped me up a step, and i thought that was a very nice touch. I walked in didn't know what to expect, there were 8 of us, we didn't make any reservations. The DJ/music was on point. The waitress had a great personality and kept checking on us to see if we needed anything. The drinks were fantastic. Reading some of these reviews, I wonder if on an off night since there was no crowd on a Friday night, it didn't get packed at all. Maybe Friday is an off night? Who knows. Overpriced? YES! I am a member, I go about once a week, drinks are overpriced but has some of the BEST music in Dallas. Very upbeat, great place to network, every now and then you make some great connections, and make a couple friends. Bartenders are fast, management is polite and accomodating, door guys are no non sense but they do deal with alot of morons on a nightly basis, dont take it personally. On any given night you can see one of the dallas mavericks or stars stopping by to hangout. Many superficial girls here, but also some very genuine and nice ones, same goes for the guys. I worked an event here for Paws in the City recently and I loved it! I'd never been inside of this place, but it was lavish as lavish can be. This is a PERFECT spot for a fancy night out. The space is separated into a lounge type area and then the bar + seating area. It was comfortable and spacious enough for our event. Can't wait to come back on a weekend! One of my favorite places to visit in Dallas. The staff is always friendly and gives the best service out of any bar/lounge i have visited. The bartenders wait on you not the other way around and actually seem appreciative of their guests. The few times we have sat down for bottle service the waitress was awesome and even took pictures for us the whole night. Leslie is smoking crack because i drink beer and have never been charged $9 a beer. The pricing is average and the pours are good. I would highly recommend this place if your looking for an upscale evening out with great DJ's, great service and a great looking crowd. I was turned away at the door once for wearing sandals, but understand the whole dress code thing and can appreciate it when you get dressed up and go out to only be surrounded by ed farty shirts and hats. It is a private club, but you can have one of the nicer restaurants on the block refer you or have your concierge call over if your from out of town. read more

If you are up for a night out in town this is a great hidden place to go! The music is mixed with 90's, dance, and hip hop and the crowd is mixed. It's a cozy space with no real space for a dance floor. The wait staff is easily accessible and friendly. Overall a fun place to hang out! read more

I would not recommend. Per the recommendation of an acquaintance I decided to look into the Candleroom for a girls night out. I called a couple of days in advance, spoke to a Tommy, who I felt was pretty matter of fact about how the doorman operates. I made arrangements with Tommy for me and four guest. We got to the door on a Saturday night. The doorman was not rude, but said I was not on the list and that Tommy had not given him his list for the evening, so he could not let us in. Then the doorman suggested I walk down to another club that Tommy owns and look for him there. That seemed a little silly, so I just text Tommy and waited about two minutes...he never responded. Tommy didn't put us on the list, or perhaps we did not fit the look the doorman is instructed to adhere to...not sure. So, I never saw the inside. Maybe it's fly inside...I will not be making any more efforts to find out:). read more

Candle is a classic. Their music is the best thing about it. They have some of the best dj's in Dallas. House, HipHop, but all mashed up. It will keep you on your toes. We booked the Queen of the South Season 2 wrap party at Candleroom last Saturday and I could not have asked for a better venue - the party was fantastic, staff was so pleasant, drinks were amazing. We had DJ Souljah who got everyone dancing. Everyone was obsessed with the photo booth and just had a really great time! Working with Ashley to create the best event for our crew was so easy because she knew exactly what I wanted and executed everything perfectly - she was always available and prompt.
