EVERYONE READ TILL THE END . I wish I could give MINUS 100…read morestars. This place was one of the worst experiences I've ever had. The manager, Lizzy, was hysterical and extremely disappointing. She showed poor professionalism, a lack of leadership, and, worst of all, she was screaming at and harassing children. Here's what happened: I went to Junior Playland, and they told me I had to pay an extra $. I said okay, paid with my credit card, and we went inside. After my kids started playing, Lizzy came up to my child and started screaming at him like a hysterical person. I stayed quiet at first because the kids were there, and they became scared of her. I then went to the front desk and asked her to provide her name. I told her, "Please, do not scream at children again." as I had also seen her yelling at other kids. At that point, she started screaming loudly at me in front of everyone. I told her I was not going to continue arguing because my kids were there, and I did not want them exposed to that behavior. I walked away from the desk, and she told me to leave immediately or she would call the police. I chose to stay because I wanted to wait for the police. While waiting, my daughter wanted to use the climbing wall, but another employee told me, "Your daughter cannot go there because we don't like you." My daughter started crying , and she was so upset and didn't stop crying for a long time. She was scared and afraid from them. When the police arrived, the manager Lizzy never told them that she had been screaming at my children and other children.By the way, they even lied to the police and claimed they refunded me, but I never received any refund from them. So not only was my money taken for the tickets I bought for my three kids, but my children were also left traumatized after being harassed and screamed at in front of everyone. I left the facility and filed a report regarding the screaming and harassment of kids. Please do yourself a favor: if you love your children, do not go there. I saw too many disturbing things happening at this facility. Overall, this was an extremely frustrating and upsetting experience. This was my last time coming here. The Worst decision ever was coming here . P.S. After reading the owner's replies to the negative Google reviews for Junior Playland, I understand everything now. Just read their responses to unhappy customers and you'll see a troubling pattern. They repeatedly mention calling the police on customers who simply raised concerns after spending money there. If you speak up, even to ask them not to harass or scream at kids, they may treat you like the problem instead of addressing the issue professionally.

I had to remove her from the area multiple times for her safety.

I love the idea of Star Park! There aren't too many indoor-play parks for open-play at a reasonable price where the majority of the park feels like it's geared towards younger toddlers. Our girl really enjoyed herself! This kid friendly spot had a space theme to it. She especially loved sitting inside the space ship areas and dancing to whatever kids program was playing at the time. She did go down the slide of the younger toddler area, but she's still too young to fully enjoy that section. She also loved "climbing" the rock wall aka dada just lifting her up high. The one thing that REALLY freaked me out about this place: there's a room that is supposed to give off the vibe of a sandbox, substitute the sand for some sort of pellet. I don't know what the pellet was, but I saw a handful of kids, EATING whatever this box was filled with. If you can imagine mom anxiety I had, waiting for my child to want to join in and eat this mystery pellet. Luckily, we did a good enough job keeping her away from the area, since I wasn't all that jazzed about the potential outcome. Overall, I just found the place to be a little dirty. Our party room was meant for 10 children and 10 adults, but it was very tight and several of the adults didn't feel comfortable coming in as it felt too cramped. For the price they charge, they should definitely allow kids to continue to play after the 2 hour party slot. They expect another $22 per child after your $500 2-hr party... on top of that, the area remains open to the public and it gets way too crowded, especially when you have little ones. It costs about 2k to reserve the entire space. We were fortunate that it wasn't too busy at the time we had our party but I wouldn't bank on that being typical experience for this place. All in all, the staff was friendly and helpful, the space was fun for small children, but definitely way too small and priced high.

Sadly it was closed on a Saturday morning, but I was determined to go back asap. Today, on 12/31, was that day! There aren't a ton of things to do with kids on New Year's Eve so I was thrilled when I saw that this place was open. My family drove over from Philly and were so happy seeing the size of this place when we arrived. There are so many awesome things for kids to enjoy. Swings, trampoline, kid's roller coaster, zip line, a quiet room, and a ton of different types of toys. We spent about 2 hours here and both of my kids were busy the entire time. Win win! We had initially booked a private birthday party that was, unfortunately canceled because of the weather. I was given the option of dates to reschedule, but was told instead of a private event. They only had semi private parties available and stated there would be another party taking place at the same time. I received an email receipt for a booking of that date, no call or personal email. I also sent several emails prior to both event dates asking what time I could access our space in order to set up and none of them were ever returned. Again was told you didn't have a private event slot available, but did have the semi private which we accepted based on the assumption that semi private meant instead of just our party there would be an additional party. But I did not expect was there to be an additional party, several groups, and I guess free play all happening during our "semi private event " When we arrived and checked in, we were told we were in the room on the right and only when I said, I don't know what that means or where that is did somebody get up to show us to the space. Our party was scheduled from 1 to 3 and at five or three as we were cleaning up an employee came in with giant black trash bags, and started unloading the trash. At this time that we noticed that the people waiting to get into our room for their event time had been there playing for the entire two hours of our event so there was our party group the other party group and then the 3 o'clock group there are all playing during our semi private event plus the people coming in for free play. Luckily, my son just turned five and had fun with his friends but to say I was disappointed is a very big understatement. For the price difference of having a private event to having multiple groups of people and FreePlay going on during your event isn't worth the savings

I have been to a few in the Philly area and this is one of our favourites because it is pretty open. A lot of spaces are so jam packed with toys etc that you can feel overwhelmed and closed in... imagine how the little one feels? Here they have space to walk around, run a little without bumping into a peer. But don't get me wrong, there is lots to do: ball pit, a cute little zipline, basketball, large swing (the swing is my personal favourite because I can swing peacefully and comfortably with my son in my lap), climbing etc etc. There is even a small toddler corner for more quiet play for the young ones. Adults are very welcome (and can technically use the zipline...if you can manage to fit, lol) And there is LOTS of seating that isn't on the floor. The price is ok - there are definitely more affordable options but at $20 it's not too bad (price for 1 child + an adult for free play; monthly membership is $75) I can see where the money goes in terms of cleanliness etc. Also, this probably goes without saying but please WATCH your children here. There isn't a lot of staff around (I usually just see one person at the front check in desk) and I don't think it's their job to watch the children...but it is VERY easy for a child to just walk out and I'm not sure the front desk staff would stop them. One of the days I was there, I witnessed a child say he wanted to go home then try to leave... It's a shoeless facility so bring socks (there are some there for sale). Also it's pretty nice that next door is a YMCA
