It was basically sandwiches and a couple of meal options I decided to go with a BLT since nothing looked good and the sandwich was absolutely disgusting. The bread was the cheap kind that you got at the cheap section of the supermarket. The bacon was also the kind you get premade in a supermarket. Nothing about it was gourmet or special yet it cost $17 totally not worth it. Although the waitress was very nice that's why I'm giving it to stars.

Whatever problems people reported back then have been corrected by Richard and Dawn, who arrived after those bad reviews and turned things around. I hosted happy hours with buffet dinners two nights in a row this summer for over 100 members of a national organization. This is a first rate operation. The coordination with Richard and Dawn was timely, flawless, and very collegial. We visited twice for coordination and to vette the place - Dawn and/or Richard met us both times and stayed with us as long as we needed. They even opened the bar early just for two of us - bartender Steven was superb also for the banquets and our recons. Two of us stopped by unannounced a month or so before our event while on a trip to visit our bus company and dined at Fern and Fable - it was "Fabelous." Richard met with us without an appointment. That dinner helped me pick the amazing food for the banquets. Dawn and Richard were present for both banquets to ensure everything went smoothly to include the audio visual. Everything went off like like a well oiled machine. There is plenty of on-site parking. Their staff was first rate. and the value is exceptional. I received an overwhelming number of positive comments from our attendees such as: * WOW!!! How did you find this place!!! * This is the best annual banquet and facility we have ever had. * The (various menu items) was fantastic. Before dinner, someone gave me a snarky comment of "well, I'll bet we aren't having lobster" to which I replied, "actually, we are." I received a lot of great comments on the amazing lobster mac and cheese that was chock full of lumps of tender lobster. My colleague who attended both banquets and the impromptu amazing dinner at Fern and Fable was so impressed that he plans to have his daughter's wedding there - and that is a 4 hour drive from his house!

A few things you should know before going to this hotel…read more First, make sure you get a good room location. The hotel borders both Rt 30 and Rt 202, so that many of the rooms have highway noise. The rooms are using single pane sliding windows, which are old and have some gaps, so sound definitely gets through. The WEST face, however, faces the shopping center and is much quieter. Second, this hotel is pretty dated. The rooms are clean, but they show signs of wear. The windows (as i said before) need to be replaced. Third, the front desk is a single station, and the staff vanished for about 20 minutes when I went down to report my HVAC problem. The hotel staff seems thin - so no coverage - and disorganized. The cleaning crews were great. I was originally put on the 5th floor, facing north (towards 202 at an angle) and I could hear the highway clearly through the window. I had to move rooms, because my original room had an HVAC problem, and the new room on the west side was much quieter. I don't know if I could recommend this hotel again, due to it's age and location. YMMV.

The mattresses were old and uncomfortable and did not reflect the quality and standards we typically expect from Marriott. More concerning, however, was the lack of consistency in delivering the amenities that were advertised. The club lounge was posted to open for breakfast at 6:30 a.m., which was important to us because we were traveling with athletes who needed to eat before leaving for a tournament. Unfortunately, the lounge did not open until 7:30 a.m., at which point we were already departing. Similarly, the bar was advertised to be open from 4:00-6:00 p.m. When we inquired at 5:00 p.m., we were simply told that it would not be opening. When we raised these concerns with the manager, rather than acknowledging the issue or apologizing, we were met with a dismissive and unprofessional response. His tone and demeanor showed a complete lack of empathy for the inconvenience we experienced, and he repeatedly told us we were being "nit picky." He also made sure to mention that he had left a career as a surgeon to move into hospitality, which only made his lack of bedside manner all the more striking. He repeatedly cited the need for a major renovation. While I agree the hotel desperately needs updating, renovations have nothing to do with honoring posted operating hours for the club lounge and bar or providing the level of service guests expect. Physical renovations are needed, but so are improvements in communication, accountability, and customer service. Unfortunately, this stay fell well below the standards I have come to expect from Marriott.

(about 40 people) but we got the same service that you would expect for a larger crowd. The majority of the wedding party had never been to an event at the Farmhouse prior to this.
