I keep coming back to Le Mignon Cake & Playroom for their desserts, and their new 4oz coconut pudding series is such a smart idea. As someone who loves coconut but gets full easily, the smaller size is perfect. The original flavor is light and classic, but the coconut latte was my favorite--the slight bitterness from the coffee balances the sweetness really well. The osmanthus fermented rice one is also worth trying if you like more complex flavors. Everything feels thoughtfully made, not overly sweet, and the portion size makes it easy to try multiple flavors without feeling overwhelmed. I've been here several times with my daughter. We really enjoy the playroom here. Today we ordered food and it never came. I kept checking and the cashier kept telling me 10 minutes. 30 mins later still not ready. People who ordered after me were getting the same food. I asked for a complimentary croissant to hold over my hungry toddler. They gave me such a hard time with that alone. 45 minutes later, they tell me they forgot to cook the chicken nuggets . The owner yelled at me do you want "refund or nuggets". I told her I should have both but refused to do so. Apparently 9$ is too much to correct a mistake they made. Bad business practice. My friends and I won't be back. The service sucks and you won't get your microwavable chicken nuggets. Also never cleaned up fecal matter on floor. read more

Pricing is high for shortbread cookies but cranberry and sesame are both nice. Matcha pastry and plain pastry is moist and reasonably flavorful. On TooGoodToGo currently. Staff is friendly and fast with pickup. Parking can be a bit awkward since it is kinda hilly and when there are a lot of cars. I was really looking forward to trying this bakery but was disappointed. I came around 1pm on a Saturday and found they ran out of a lot of their baked goods. I really don't like flour-based cakes so I wanted to get a cheesecake. There were 5 different flavors but only one was in stock. I ended up getting the truffle cheesecake anyways and a strawberry matcha latte. The drink was just okay, I thought there were strawberry pieces at the bottom of the drink but it was actually strawberry flavored chewy boba which I wasn't that big of a fan of. I did enjoy the truffle cheesecake, it was very unique it was sweet and umami. But because I didn't really have a choice in the flavor it didn't really satiate what I was craving - a more traditional sweet treat. There are four rows for seating, one row had toys thrown all over, another seemed to be used as the workers personal eating area, and the third was occupied by another patron. I felt like I didn't have any choice when it came with the food and seating arrangements. I mainly wanted to stop by to read but it became too loud with the worker's conversations and the playroom music. We ended up leaving earlier than we wanted because the noise became unbearable. I would not recommend if you want a quiet play to relax/study. Definitely better if you're a parent and want to entertain your kids, there is a fee to use the playroom though. Sweet space and I really wanted to leave a positive review but feel like I should share our experience with my daughter's birthday party. The party was very overpriced for what was provided. I visited beforehand and was disappointed with the poor customer service and communication about our upcoming party. I had to buy all the decorations and ended up spending way more than I would have at other comparable venues (While I knew decorations weren't provided, I didn't realize until after booking that we could pay the same at several other places with everything provided). The pizza they provided was small slices of what looked like cheap, frozen pizza. It wasn't enough for the kids and a bunch of them were still hungry so they over-charged us for adding on frozen chicken nuggets from a bag. They provided very little help during the party, so we spent a lot of time running around cleaning up/managing food (which we bought ourselves) etc. rather than visiting with guests. Overall the venue felt quite messy and chaotic. The owner is obviously talented and the concept is great. I wish them well but think they should either lower the price since everything is DIY, or step up the service. read more

Wow, I was blown away by the light, fluffy red velvet cake, which has a stunning, deep red hue dressed in a light cream cheese frosting that one does't usually find in lesser-quality bakeries. Not only did this cake TAKE THE CAKE, but it was a feast for my picky tastebuds too: the sweetness didn't overpower the tanginess of the cream cheese frosting. For me, this bakery is definitely worth the drive and the red velvet cake is just the sweet gift you should give yourself and your loved ones!
