Glad to see that Santa Maria is finally getting their own coffee shops! I had a warm latte with oat milk. The drink was decent and I enjoyed the espresso quality. Their photo machine wasn't working when I went, so I was a little bummed out with that. Service is super friendly & their decor is cute. The place is super clean and they have lots of seating available. Parking lot shared with neighboring businesses.

I really enjoyed my experience! I had been wanting to visit Canela Café for a long time. I live in Ventura County, so def not close to me. I was driving through the area and we decided to stop. There is a charging station across the street , my friend's car needed charging as we were on a road trip . It was meant to be ! I ordered a club sandwich a Cortado, a strawberry Matcha and a white mocha . All great ! No complaints. My only suggestion would be that the sandwiches come with a Serrano or maybe jalapeño en vinagre . I am Mexican and it is traditional in my family to eat our sandwiches with a chile on the side. Coming from Ventura County - I didn't find prices to be too high. Yummy Specialty/ pretty coffees or matches are about $9 bucks , up to $11 or sometimes more. Insta worthy drinks cost a bit more and you're supporting a family owned business -it's not Starbucks. Sandwiches are pretty large and I shared with my friend. There was pretty for both of us. We both left full. It is so cute inside! Not a huge shop, but there is seating inside. It was a bit busy ... service was quick! There was a line, however it moved quickly. Props to Damian and staff for being so welcoming and friendly!

Cafe de olla and they even printed a photo for me of my own photography.

We are currently doing a road trip from San Diego and my wife saw this cafe as a suggestion. This place has a lot of love. We got a cafe de olla, an iced horchata latte and a pan dulce. These guys were so kind and gave us amazing suggestions that were tailored to our needs. Authentic flavors, with amazing community driven service. This place is worth visiting Santa Maria. A must stop. They have mastered their craft but just as important they have opened their doors to what feels like their home. It's warm and welcoming and but vibrant with music that adds a touch of home. The crew here is the secret recipe and I challenge anyone to find a place as special as this. I want to thank them from the bottom of my heart, you guys made our visit memorable and we will be back to Santa Maria because of you guys.

Very inviting atmosphere with friendly customer service and great coffee. Try the brown sugar shaken espresso, it's my favorite. Love supporting small local businesses.

My favorite coffee stop in Santa Maria. I always get the Pepino con Limon, and I got a free one recently for enrolling in their rewards program. The staff is always super friendly and the ambiance is cute. They have pastries and a full coffee menu. Fantastic ube matcha as well.

This is a 3.5 star review, see below why. Could have easily been 5 stars but there was one big missing thing. Service was busy but friendly and the space was clean. Even with the line the food and coffee didn't take terribly long. Service 5/5! Brown sugar shaken coffee- delicious! No complaints except maybe the crushed ice vs ice cubes or bigger pieces of ice. I think it's more of an aesthetic choice but makes it difficult to sip coffee without using a straw and without eating lots of ice! Avocado toast- the bread was good, maybe a tad too thick but no real complaints. The avocado was fresh but it was beyond bland! Literally salt, pepper and acid would have made this a 5/5 place but it was so hard to eat flavorless avocado toast. Especially with this simple of a dish, seasoning is everything! Big portion though! I'll be back to try out a sandwich and hope that they season those!

Friendly greeting by the gentleman who took my order. The establishment is clean and looks fairly new. The vibe is "Instagram" Cute place to enjoy a hot or cold coffee, Chai, matcha, or just a PAN DULCE. I enjoyed a medium Chai Latte while I completed some work online. I used my personal hot spot so I am unsure if they offer free WiFi, but it was a pleasant visit. I will be back. My one recommendation is to get the tables balanced or adjusted so that they don't wobble.

In from Torrance Ca came by this cute family owned café. Coffe was amazing. Pan dulce was fresh and delicious. Service was excellent. Definitely going to be back for more.

My husband and I stopped here to get a few quick drinks because he was recommended to try it by a few friends and it did not disappoint! It was only a few streets down from the main eateries like canes but it was worth it to go there. I got a matcha latte with a sweet cold foam on it and my husband got ube foam cold brew and both were delicious!! The service was super friendly and we sat outside but the inside was so cute with plush couches and a cute mirror. Would def go again!

I love this place so much! The vibe is absolutely vibing. Super duper cute seating area. The service was friendly. I had their matcha and my wife tried the pepino con limon and WOW they were delicious!! The avocado toast was phenomenal. Honestly I'm just upset I haven't been here sooner.

Best grilled cheese hands down! This place is aesthetically pleasing but also has the menu on point. Avocado toast was also very good and the mini concha was so soft and perfectly sweet. They also have a variety of images to put on your latte. Love this cute spot! Staff was super friendly and attentive too.

    Yummy matcha!

Beautiful atmosphere! This place had such a warm welcoming as soon as you walk in. I got the avocado toast and white chocolate mocha, amazingly on point! Hit the spot. The service was top tier! I'll definitely be back. Thank you!

This place is hands down the best avocado, toast in the city of Santa Maria and the staff is super friendly!

I never tried a huarache before, so I wasn't sure what to expect. The base is like a crispy dough, and I got it with all the toppings (no meat). I really liked the sauce they put on top of the dish. The service was very quick and nice. Inside is a very causal dining seating. The surrounding area is a little confusing, and it was hard to find via google maps.

Really wanted to love this place and give it the glowing remarks that they seemed to have on here…read more We passed up a few other places because of the reviews on here. We decided on this place because it stated that they served menudo/pozole on the weekends and that is what I was in the mood for. As soon as we walked in we noticed it was a tad warm. As if they didn't have the a/c on. However, they had their front door open. We walked up to the counter, and my husband was giving the cashier our order, but she seemed like she was in a hurry. Which was weird because no one was behind us. We chose a table closest to the front door, so it was cooler. About 5 minutes past and our number was called so my husband got up to get our order and as he started walking back towards out table I could tell on his face something was wrong. He set the tray down that had chips, salsa and his plate of chicken taquitos, rice and beans and says "apparently they no longer have anymore pozole so she didn't charge me." So why did not one come to our table and let us know and see what we wanted instead? Why did they wait until this was done to tell us knowing this was a dine in order? So then I say ok well can I just get what you ordered? By this time there was about 6 people ahead of my order. So now my husband's food was getting cold even though I insisted he eat but he refused to eat until I received mine. As I said, we wanted to love this place. We've learned that little unassuming hole in the wall places such as these are gems, but when customer service fails like this, you don't make people want to come back. It was just really careless. No one was behind us when our order was submitted. There was at least 5 minutes that past before a line formed after us. There were only 3 items on that order between the front of the house and the back of the house no one caught that one of those orders was an item you ran out of, and you should probably fix that sooner rather than later? Being in the restaurant business is being of service to people and in that moment I the customer and my best interest was not a priority and that's disappointing.

Oh boy, real Santa Maria BBQ! Woo Hoo! Tri-Tip is the name of the game in these parts so that's what I'm doing. Got the Tri-Tip Dip and a side of BBQ sauce so I could have it both ways. I was really looking forward to these West Coast Chili Beans too. Wife wanted BBQ Chicken so I got her the BBQ Chicken Combo. I asked the girl at the register if we could get dark meat with the combo. She looked a little confused and said "You mean like Tri-Tip?" Oh boy. No, dark meat chicken like a thigh and drumstick. "Oh, do you want a breast or a thigh?". Let's roll with the thigh, thanks. Our food came out pretty quickly. I asked for horseradish for the Tri-Tip Dip and was politely told they don't have any. Silly me, why would they have horseradish when they sell a French Dip Sandwich? The Tri-Tip Dip was decent. Not going to lie. The West Coast Chili Beans were a disappointment. I expected so much better. The BBQ sauce was runny and tastes like molasses and maple syrup. Nah, Stick with the Au Jus and you will be fine. The Chicken Combo was a train wreck. Beans cold, rice cold, chicken overcooked by a mile. It's not easy to overcook the hell out of dark meat chicken but they found a way. Wife not happy, at all. It's another one and done.
