I had a great experience here! The coffee was delicious, but what really stood out was the attention to detail. Even though my drink was to-go, they still took the time to add a beautiful decorative topping and placed the lid on the side so the presentation wasn't ruined. Banner Coffee is absolutely worth the stop -- just a few minutes off Highway 101 with easy street parking nearby. The space is large, open, and comfortable, with plenty of seating and solid Wi-Fi (I measured around 79 Mbps). The coffee and baked goods were excellent, and the barista/owner/operator was genuinely friendly and happy to talk coffee. They clearly care about quality, sourcing beans from respected roasters as far away as North Carolina and Germany, and regenerative farming practices seem to be an important part of their philosophy as well. Finally got a chance to try this cafe. Banner Coffee serves some delicious coffee. Once you step in you are greeted some amazing coffee aromas and a very modern contemporary decorated area. You'll find families, remote workers, students all enjoying the space. Walking up to the cashier, you'll pass by some very high quality coffee beans by some European roasters. I DID buy some coffee, to brew at home. DELICIOUS. I bought the Ethiopian beans roasted in Germany. Back to the cafe. I ordered the Everything Nice coffee. A great drink for a rainy day. My wife ordered the matcha latte. It was fine. We also ordered a scone. We came too late to order some hot food unfortunately. The scone was also fine. The coffee was so good I decided to do my personal test, a cortado- 1:1 espresso with steamed milk. Nailed it. It was delicious. The customer service and coffee definitely shone in our experience. I ordered a 12oz medium roast coffee at 3pm. Even though it had good flavor, it was lukewarm. Maybe because it was in the afternoon? I even left a tip, which I regret. I didn't realize that there are sooo many coffee shops in the 5 cities until I started looking up a new coffee shop to try and get started on a new book. Banner popped up with so many great reviews, plus their few food options early in the morning was the main determination factor for me. Parking was fairly easy to find with the connecting parking lot next to the church. I didn't expect the inside to be so spacious from the look on the outside. The coffee shop was pretty busy when I got there at about 9:30am on a weekday, but I didn't have any problem snatching a table by the window. 1 star Decided to go with a matcha latte and avocado toasts since a few yelpers spoke so highly of them in the reviews. They delivered! The drink and the toast came out quickly. They call for your name and you just pick up everything from the counter. The matcha was nice and smooth from their housemade almond milk, with a good amount of matcha flavor. I opted out of the bacon bits on top of my avocado toast. The toast looks pretty simple, almost to the point of boring, but the flavor was excellent, and the bread they used was the perfect thickness that provides a good mix of crunch of softness. 4 stars Overall, it's one of my favorite coffee shops in the area now. Great coffee which expected but had never had breakfast menu. Breakfast tacos with bacon and hash browns (little crispy) onions and a great sauce with scrambled eggs and cheese was a great protein start. Kicked off our camping weekend with a pit stop at Banner Coffee. Now, I wish we had a Banner Coffee in OC too! This cute coffee shop is a great space for getting some work done while enjoying a delicious crafted coffee and a light breakfast. I got the hojicha latte with the seasonal caramel, and it was so so so good! The sweet and saltiness of the caramel paired so well with the smooth hojicha. I also had their version of a ham and cheese croissant, which was the perfect bite of energy before a day at the beach. They also sell retail goods here, so I of course had to pick up one of the t-shirts to remember this trip. This coffee shop had plenty of space, and a breakfast menu. The workers here are super sweet and friendly. I also loved that they gave us some recs as it was our first time here. Parking was a little confusing, so we opted to do street parking just to be safe. We also came right at opening so there weren't any crowds. read more

Breakfast Burrito: It's not your typical breakfast burrito. Pressed flat, it's more like a panini in that way but that aspect of it allows the flavors to really blend together. The bacon is cooked perfectly, not too hard, not too soft. The chipotle crema adds some sauciness as well. I'm big on sauce and I'm usually dousing my breakfast burritos in sauce but this one didn't need it. Hojicha: It's hard enough finding a decent matcha in the area (especially coming from the OC) let alone a hojicha. Whoever whisked me the hojicha made me a fresh batch and it really made all the difference. Their hojicha comes unsweetened instead of pre-sweetened so that's already a plus in my book so I could really taste the roasted-ness (in comparison to a matcha, for example). Wasn't too watered down by the milk - the barista who made this one didn't put too much milk in my drink. Matcha: I would pass on this but it could be how it was made. I had the matcha on a different day so it wasn't the same barista. I chose to do this one unsweetened as well. The milk to tea ratio was a bit off, the amount of milk overwhelmed the matcha and the light green color of my matcha made it obvious. I would not order this again. The service is quick and friendly, the staff knows their menu inside and out and are able to make recommendations if you're unsure about what to get. I've been here on two different occasions. The first time it was more of a quiet day. There aren't enough outlets so I wish there were just more of those. The second time was on a busier Saturday. There wasn't enough room to walk around the most of the people didn't seem to have enough spatial awareness to allow others to go around them. I'd go on a quieter day if you want to be able to enjoy the space. read more

My wife got the avocado toast, and I got the breakfast burrito and we are both pretty pleased with it although the burrito kind of fell apart and it was a little messy from the aïoli that they put into it. Tried the cardamom capp with half and half, less sweet. The barista was friendly and accommodating. She made a beautiful design too that I didn't get to photograph as I was too eager to try this new flavor! Perfect flavor and sweetness level. Many cafes go overboard with sweet and overpower the light flavor profiles of the coffee and specialty flavors. This capp was well balanced and temp was perfect to enjoy right away. The cafe is spacious and super clean. Easy to find a spot to sit and would be nice to spend some time in there in conversation with a cup of capp. We also tried an iced mocha. I had high expectations for this place. I was welcomed in and the shop had great vibes. Loved how they had merchandise for sale. Super clean and inviting. Got 2 mochas and was asked if it was for here or to go and I wanted it to go. Coffee came out in a glass container so I asked again for it to be to go. No big problem until I tried the coffee. Was not a fan of the taste. Tasted almost acidic. Could not even finish. Not to mention it was nearly $15 for 2 coffees and came in a very small cup. Very disappointed and unfortunately could not recommend to anyone. read more
