Under 60 pesos for a three course meal. We saw a line around 4pm so we did what most Mexican do, get in line:)
At that hour a few items already sold out, but still have plenty to choose from for a cheap meals. If you are willing to pay 100+ pesos your choice gets more exotic. We stick with the 53 pesos three course meal.
Sopa, first course, was excellent. Both pasta and potatoes soup are very flavorful yet light, no grease at all. I am sure the consume is awesome too.
Second course we order a rice and a salad. It's green rice and we add a plantain, which I thought it's grilled but no, they just give you a peeled banana, which is strangely weird for me but surprisingly great with green rice, especially with the house salsa which is slightly spicy, and with peanuts in the salsa.
I got the enchiladas with pollo, and hubby had a cheese dish with red and green salsa. Both dishes are flavorful and good portion. Unlike Fonda, they don't include drink or dessert but it's an add on.
We also had Agua Fresca, we had coco y pina, the pina colada combo and its excellent!
A good cheap eat when you are in downtown. Thumb up! read more
