So two days after I wrote my review, I was able to bring Ninja in for his fluid treatment. EVERYONE…read morewas very nice and accommodating, yes, even the one woman I mentioned before. Maybe she was just in some dire need of time off?? I did mention that there was no mention of them being closed on Christmas Eve on their website, vmail or door. They all seemed surprised but no one was apologetic. The vet tech however, did go out of her way to let me know that they would be closed this upcoming Saturday which I appreciated. Tuesday or Wednesday another vet tech called me and said that he had heard of my experience this past weekend and was calling to let me know in advance that they would be closed this upcoming Saturday. Now THAT is what I'm talking about. THAT is service, THAT is being considerate and THAT is appreciated.

No wonder vets across the country are suicidal! They want to help animals, but prices are sky rocketing and people move onto where they can afford. Very nicely I asked her 2x if she can give me a BALLPARK price of what neuter for a male cat costs at their clinic. She tells me she can give me a price of an office visit. ??? Is that what I asked? You do not recall 2-3 different totals for a neuter to give a client an estimate???? As in it's in 200's it's in 400's - so a person has SOME idea what you charge? You are a very rude little b---c and if I'd fire you if I was the vet and you cheated me out of that much income. This review is solely for today's gatekeepers, not to reflect on the vets or nurses

Our first incident here was when our dog slipped out of her collar when a staff member was handling her outside of the building. Our dog ran into the busy road and narrowly survived. We decided to give them the benefit of the doubt that it was an honest mistake. Last week when we picked our dog up at the end of the day we were informed that she had a gash on her leg and had been limping in the morning. We took our dog to a veterinary urgent care facility and, five hours and 1500 dollars later, we were informed by the vet that she had most likely been bitten due to the nature of the wound and the level of pocketing. Our dog now has stitches, a drain, has to take medication, and has to be monitored in a cone for 10-14 days. The following day I spoke with the owners. I asked why they hadn't called us when our dog was limping in the morning, and why they again failed to inform us that they found a bleeding wound on my dog in the afternoon. The male owner spent the conversation downplaying the event and arguing with me, claiming they had only seen a "little red dot" and that "these things happen when dogs play". He also came up with excuses like, "it's hard to see wounds sometimes because of fur," yet our dog has short white fur. No matter what, the owners/staff should have called us when they noticed that our dog was injured. They refused to help with the vet bill, but did refund our daycare package.

The owner and partner arranged a meet and greet with Lola and it was perfect. Lola has anxiety and does not like strange dogs or people. Andrea let Lola take separate space and kept her and the other dogs apart while Lola adjusted to being there. During my 9 days of vacation, I was sent updates, multiple times during the day and pictures. Leaving Lola was very hard but Harvey's Pet Care made it easier. Anytime I need pet care, I will give Harvey's house a call. I can't thank them enough.

3rd Class In for a 3 Month Old Puppy... Wow Watch Out!…read more We started off at Canis, and it was truly awesome. Unfortunately, after a few sessions, the co-owner, Derrick, messaged me through their chat platform to say that our puppy had been making noise in her crate that day. This was a one-off situation -- she'd had some stomach issues in the days prior -- but he warned that if it happened two more times, she would be removed from the program. I understand it's their program and their rules, but his communication style was extremely direct -- almost as if he were speaking to a dog -- harsh and matter-of-fact. He told me that how I receive and perceive his messages is "on me." Talk about customer-oriented! If he ever took a class on people or management, he might learn that there's an old saying: perception is reality. I also had a few billing questions, and since texts weren't resolving the issue, I asked multiple times for him to call me, which he eventually did. From the start of that call, he was defensive and completely closed to any feedback about his communication style. I was honestly shocked at how the conversation unfolded and even asked if he was the owner or manager. Despite all this, I genuinely wanted to continue working with them. In short, they removed us from the program the very next day and promptly refunded our fees. My advice: don't offer him any feedback -- he doesn't take it well. It's a real shame, because the staff at Canis are wonderful, and the facility and programs themselves are truly impressive. We had been raving fans and recommended them to everyone, so this turned out to be a very disappointing experience.

CMDT is the absolute BEST! When looking for trainers and puppy/dog socialization spots my husband…read moreand I did extensive research and interviewed places to ensure we felt comfortable and confident that our pup would be in the best hands. I cannot express how glad we have been with our decision to bring our dog to CMDT. Bee and Derrick are wonderful. They make themselves available (within reason) for any questions or help with training. The classes are informative and have been instrumental in our dog's fantastic training progress. Our pup has always come home happy, healthy, and tired from a day of socialization and training when she goes to puppy daycare, and we love watching the livestream so we can see her having a blast. What I personally appreciate the most about CMDT, beyond the care and compassion of the trainers who undoubtedly love the dogs, is the method of training they provide. No harsh punishment necessary. The dogs learn through basic positive psychology and reward association. We do the homework between classes and have seen our dog become more well mannered, confident, and happy through good training. If she could leave a review I think she would say CMDT is her favorite spot, given how excited she is every time we pull up. Thank you to Bee, Derick, and the other trainers who have treated our sweet girl like their own precious pup!
