Our first incident here was when our dog slipped out of her collar when a staff member was handling her outside of the building. Our dog ran into the busy road and narrowly survived. We decided to give them the benefit of the doubt that it was an honest mistake. Last week when we picked our dog up at the end of the day we were informed that she had a gash on her leg and had been limping in the morning. We took our dog to a veterinary urgent care facility and, five hours and 1500 dollars later, we were informed by the vet that she had most likely been bitten due to the nature of the wound and the level of pocketing. Our dog now has stitches, a drain, has to take medication, and has to be monitored in a cone for 10-14 days. The following day I spoke with the owners. I asked why they hadn't called us when our dog was limping in the morning, and why they again failed to inform us that they found a bleeding wound on my dog in the afternoon. The male owner spent the conversation downplaying the event and arguing with me, claiming they had only seen a "little red dot" and that "these things happen when dogs play". He also came up with excuses like, "it's hard to see wounds sometimes because of fur," yet our dog has short white fur. No matter what, the owners/staff should have called us when they noticed that our dog was injured. They refused to help with the vet bill, but did refund our daycare package.

They have been so good to our dogs and to us, going out of their way to accommodate our needs and leaving notes letting us know how everything went for each visit. They have been trustworthy and reliable. They've saved the day for us on several occasions, agreeing to come on fairly short notice. Most recently I've used their services while temporarily, medically sidelined, unable to walk our girl, Ruthie for a few weeks. Amanda is a saint. She clearly loves Ruthie and the feeling is mutual. Ruthie is so excited to see Amanda when she arrives and can't wait to go out for a walk with her. I wouldn't trust any other company than Whiskers While You Work to look after our girl.

Manager came out to the house to meet me and my husband. We told her that we did not want a person who wasn't vetted to come into our house while we were away. A woman was hand selected by the owner. I packed up all my jewelry and personal items, to be put in our safe. I included a $500.00 Montblanc pen that I bought for myself after I survived a stroke. The pen dropped out in the bedroom. I told my son as he was dropping us off at the airport that I couldn't find my MB pen. The pet sitter was coming by each morning for my cat's breakfast and my son came each night to feed them supper. My son had access to the upstairs litter box. The pet sitter did not. She scooped the downstairs box. My son did a walk through my house each night to make sure the pet sitter didn't take anything. He found my MB pen on the floor at the foot of my bed. He placed it on my bed spread at the foot of the bed that was highly visible. He texted me in Spain and said he had found my pen, a picture was attached. 10 days later son got us from the airport, we got home. The 1st thing I did when I went upstairs, was to look on my bed for the pen. It was GONE. My son told me that he looked at it every evening on my bed when he stopped by to check on my house. He's a 43 y o CPA who is extremely well-organized. I absolutely know that the pen was on my bedspread and I also know that the pet sitter was walking around the upstairs of my house because she was texting me daily cat reports with pictures. The bulk of which were upstairs. I have literally moved all my furniture around, gone under the bed. Moved out the rug and headboard, swept underneath the bed. Torn my hair out for the last week and a half and it is not there. I've spoken to the manager, who we had met in person, and she told me that she was going to talk w/ the owner and one of them would get back to me. Within 24 hours I got a text saying that the owner called the pet sitter to ask if she had taken the pen from my bedroom and was told no. That's it. No apology, no concern. Not even an explanation of how long this woman had been employed by the co. You would think that they would have a policy for theft of customers property, as a stranger it's coming into your home w/ unfettered access to everything you own. Please, I implore you to be extremely cautious if you hire Whiskers While you Work to pet sit your animals. You MUST install cameras in every room of your home if you do.

I have never in my life experienced such an unprofessional and careless veterinary office. I had to…read moretake my 6-month-old puppy to another emergency hospital less than eight hours after leaving this one because his condition rapidly declined. My dog was having a clear negative reaction to a toxin, and we were in this hospital for less than 30 minutes. The "doctor" took him to the back, glanced at him, and made a guess based on something they assumed was from his past. There was no additional testing, no further investigation, and no effort to confirm the diagnosis. I learned later that day that their assumption was completely wrong. By the time we reached the second emergency hospital, my puppy was experiencing tremors, seizures, instability, and could barely walk. Even worse, his gums were pale while we were still at the first hospital, and they didn't even give basic supportive care like IV fluids. What makes this even more disappointing is the interaction I had later that day with the receptionist. When I called--scared, confused, and simply trying to confirm the doctor's notes--she was inconsiderate, defensive, and extremely unprofessional. Instead of listening to a worried pet parent, she acted like a snarky child, cutting me off, speaking short, and giving attitude as if my questions were an inconvenience. It is terrifying that this is one of the only emergency hospitals within a reasonable distance, because the level of care we received was unacceptable. As a pet parent, I rely on trained professionals to guide me--especially when I'm not educated in veterinary medicine. Having to fully trust a medical team that provided such minimal, dismissive, and incomplete care of a 6-month-old puppy is beyond concerning. For an emergency/surgery-focused facility, you would expect attention to detail, urgency, and compassion. What we experienced was the exact opposite. This could have cost my puppy his life.
