He chewed up a yoga mat they usually board at other places with that he'd never chewed before, and this made them angry because he got diarrhea. UPDATE: He got diarrhea because he picked up whip worm from their facility. He was all clear when I had him at the vet two weeks prior. I don't know why she seemed so upset about it (she never said why), but the worst part was, several minutes into being negatively lectured by the owner, I spoke up finally getting rude back at her and said "I'm sorry I didn't tell you every little thing about my dog. You were very busy in the lobby when I dropped off, and I had to leave. I just want to pay and get out of here." Her daughter yells at me "Don't you talk to my mom that way!" In a manner that suggested she was going to start a fist fight with me. They've been in business long enough to know what can happen when pets board and what they need to know about people's pets. They should have a survey with simple questions addressing their areas of concern. Simple solution! Otherwise, how could I possibly know what to focus on when you ask me "Is there anything I need to know about your dogs?" In short, they were highly unprofessional and not good with people. Your dog will be stuck in a kennel for 6-8 hours without a potty break and come home covered in feces. The employees went over a month without being paid because she chipped into the business account to help her last dui case. Still a nice lady just VERY shady. Last year my cousin worked there and said danny (the gm) shoved a dogs noses into poop because "it spitefully shit" and the dog knew what it was doing. On 10/22/2019 I scheduled an online grooming appointment with Dog Space with the owner Mieko for Nov 1st at 8:30 am. I called this morning to talk with Mieko about changing something that had been done last time she groomed my Giant Schnauzer. I have gone to Mieko a few times before and I have always been happy and I have kept a great rapport with her. Last time I asked her to please not trim or cut his eyelashes. They did end up getting cut very short. I was not angry with Mieko I just figured that next time I'd call a day or two before and just talk with her and ask it we could not cut them this time. When I spoke with her this morning I was very courteous over the phone with her and tried to explain exactly what I wanted, which was to just not cut his eyelashes. To my surprise when I tried to communicate this with her said told me and I quote "I can't make you happy". "I can't be your groomer anymore". "I do exactly what you say, not good enough for you". I told her no its okay I just didn't want his eyelashes cut. She then hung up the phone on me. I gave it a few minutes and called back. I tried to plead with. Asking her why she was doing this, letting her know I was not mad and I was sorry. I tried to explain that I photos scheduled for Saturday morning, and that I really needed him to get groomed. She said she was sorry, but she can not help me. I honestly can not believe that she did this to me. I completely understand the right of refusal, however, under different circumstances. I never thought this would happen due to me for just trying to communicate something about my dogs haircut. I'm at a loss, and feel so very sad. I did really enjoy taking my Oliver to Dog Space. I asked many questions before our visit and specifically asked for Ellen to do the grooming and was assured she would. I discovered that he was groomed by someone else. He is well trained and easy to groom. He came home with very poorly trimmed nails, rough and close to dangerously short. I checked his ears and only one ear was cleaned out, the other was full of debris. His coat seemed as if it hadn't been cleaned and rinsed thoroughly. I haven't had a pet for many years but now I have two very loving puppies…read more I never took any of my past dogs to a groomer but decided to treat these girls to the luxury of being groomed. Ellen got them in very quickly and was able to have her daughter take care of both of them. They looked so great when they were given back to us and smelled wonderful too. I was happy they noticed and ear problem and got them immediately to the vet to get medicine. The are still looking and now feeling the love and I'm making a new appointment. I highly recommend these groomers they are really nice and take great care of all their animal friends.
