He's a good boy, and very resilient. :-) Walking in, I was 30 min early. Anna was completely cool, and just said, "just let em hang here while I finish." Right away she was warm and kind, and it left me with a good feeling. We discussed a bit the cut, and she said in about 2 hours. I'll text. So often you have to leave your pet for hours, crated. It was a great cut, reasonably priced, in a very convenient location on the West Side. Very happy with the entire experience!

Our doodle always looks and smells great after his grooming sessions. He can be nervous at the groomers since he doesn't like the hair dryer, but Anna does a great job calming him down. She also went above and beyond when our doodle had been running around in the mud with his harness--she took the extra time to wash his harness too. Anna gives him the perfect teddy bear cut every time. We've had groomers in the past cut his bangs oddly, making him look strange (almost human like), but Anna shapes his face and ears adorably. She's also great about adapting his cuts for different seasons to keep him comfortable year-round. When we first booked with Anna, we had to wait a couple of weeks since she was fully booked. Now that we're in her schedule, we book sessions in advance and haven't had any issues. She's well worth the wait! It's really hard to find someone you trust with your dog, especially for grooming. We're so happy we went with the neighborhood favorite and are we are extremely grateful for her services!

Fortunately, my wife who works in the Health care field met some women and their therapy dogs who were the most pleasant, well behaved and caring dogs she's ever met. She of course asked where the dogs received their training and they told us about Three Dogs Training. So we immediately enrolled and were not disappointed at all as the class was enjoyable and stimulating both for us and our puppy. Our instructor, Lisa Edwards showed us how easy and fun it is to train your dog and it has allowed us to teach our dog proper manners. If you have a dog that needs training, a puppy that needs some basic socialization or want some help in choosing a dog that mets your lifestyle then check them out.

I have had very anxious dogs and a resource guarder, and Lisa has shown me how to manage these issues without using aversive training, only positive reinforcement ... and a sense of humor. I hate to think where my dogs would be if it weren't for her. She speaks dog with love and understanding and deals with their humans patiently (I imagine that it the hardest part of her job.) and without making us feel foolish. Will we ever stop attending Three Dogs Training classes? Only if Lisa retires!

She is not only knowledgeable and experienced, but is warm, kind, generous with her time and attention, and truly invests herself in guiding dog owners to enable their dogs live their best possible lives peaceably together. We reached out to Phyllis for help with our very enthusiastic (some might say maniacal!) young puppy, who was not progressing as well as we'd hoped based on our own training methods. We realized we needed help--so Phyllis was our go-to expert. We arranged for a 3-lesson pack of sessions held at our apartment and also outside, each about a week apart. Each time, she brought new insight into our puppy AND into our ways of working with her. She is very attuned to small nuances in human and dog body language and tone of voice that, with practice, can redirect a bad habit without harsh or needless punishment. She is a strong proponent of positive reinforcement, redirecting "naughty" behaviors, and adjusting strategies as needed. And our pup loved and responded beautifully to her! Thanks to Phyllis, our puppy is now listening and learning better, making more progress than she had made with us alone, and is growing into the sweet, smart, and lovely pet we dreamed of. I highly recommend her for any of your dog training issues. WOOF!

Shortages everywhere, food, toys, even the simple essentials were either picked over or missing entirely. Choices of doggie t-shirts were limited to large dogs, female styles, and doggie sweatshirts, all of the small sizes were gone. Nothing weather appropriate. Staff was polite enough, but no one seemed to know when or if items would be restocked. For such a big-name pet store in a busy Manhattan neighborhood, I expected a fuller selection and better inventory management. Ended up leaving with nothing, waste of time, gas and parking. A bit frustrating when you're trying to shop local instead of ordering online. However this is making me reconsider. Will have to go out of the way, travel downtown to the Petco Union Square store and hope they have better inventory.

Initially, I had contacted Jay to help me with "hand stripping", a particular technique for grooming wire coated dogs. He explained that the very first step in grooming, for any dog, is to train for obedience-- such as tolerating standing still, lying down, sitting-- and wow, did that make sense! Jay was fatherly, kind, patient, and had a clear syllabus of graded challenges and behaviors with which to follow over the course of the weeks of sessions that we had with him. He took the time to understand what my goals were for both home life and the dream of having my dog work alongside me either as an animal assisted therapy dog (I was an occupational therapist) or as a showbiz dog (my other career). Jay helped me develop these goals and dream both big and small. And thus, our sessions extended way beyond grooming-- to loose-leash walking, developing Arrow's attention and focus, targeting (we went from my puppy simply touching a target with his nose or paw, to opening handicap/ accessible doors when he was tall and strong enough!), and much more-- all when he was just months old! By the time he was 13 months old, Arrow had acquired his first professional gig-- as "Sandy" at the 92nd St Y's production of "Annie". It has now been 8 years of non-stop love and success with my dream dog. He has been on the set of Law and Order, New Amsterdam, She's Gotta Have it Too, among others. He even has had multiple theater critics mention his perfect behavior in reviews! This month, my Arrow performed in his 7th professional production of Annie. During one performance, there was a technical error that stopped the show for 20 minutes. Arrow and I were given permission to come on the stage and entertain the audience with tricks and stories of his "pawsome" career, as well as participate in a Q&A with the captivated audience. Many questions centered around "how did you get Arrow to do THAT!?" And I found myself responding by explaining, "Jay Andors helped us with that!" Jay's mentorship and ongoing support has provided a life-long foundation of success for Arrow and our family, and we can't thank him enough!

They make everything so easy for me -- they do both pick-up and drop-off (only $10 each way on weekdays and $30 on weekends!), which is huge when I'm working long or weird hours and can't get home in time. They also literally have everything I could ever need in one place: daycare, boarding, veterinary care, and grooming. Peach has boarded with them before and it went perfectly. And the grooming? They do it while she's already at daycare and then drop her off at home clean and fluffy, so I come home to a happy, tired, freshly groomed dog. It's the most convenient thing ever. The grooming prices are very reasonable and the quality of the grooming is the best she's had (and we've tried MANY groomers). They're incredibly responsive over text and email, which I appreciate when I'm at work and can't call. And one of my absolute favorite parts: the daily report card and photos of my dog every single day so I know exactly how she's doing. Plus they have a live webcam you can access from anywhere -- I check in on Peach from work all the time and it always makes my day. I truly can't recommend Strut Your Pup enough. Angela uses positive reinforcement, and Vesuvius absolutely loves seeing her -- his tail starts wagging the second she arrives. Beyond training, Angela is incredibly knowledgeable about dogs and shares valuable advice on health, products, and how to better understand the way dogs see the world. She's always punctual, caring, and checks in on him if he's not feeling well or if any issues come up. It's clear she truly loves what she does and genuinely cares about the dogs she works with. I highly recommend Angela -- she's made life with my pup so much easier and more enjoyable.
