Absolutely amazing experience with the new owners, Alex and Luis. I stopped in after having a not so great experience with two previous groomers for my elderly Cavapoo and thought I'd pop in after his vet appointment along with my toy poodle. Talked to them for a good 45 minutes and felt so bad because I asked a lot of questions but they were so welcoming and reassuring. They are charming, very friendly with great personalities, and are so knowledgeable. I let them have free range with Minerva's (toy poodle) haircut with the request of shaved feet. He went above and beyond my expectations! I've been searching for over 2 years for a reputable groomer to make her look cute and she's always come back butchered. She's the softest I've ever had her and smells amazing. Usually there's a little underlying scent of dirty dog after a grooming at most places but she's SO CLEAN! The double shampooing they do really makes them stand out. They clean the inside of the ears and also grind the nails so my cankles aren't getting torn apart when she jumps at me which is very much appreciated. I can't say enough positive things about them and I'm very happy to find someone who knows what they're doing. All of the dogs I've seen leaving their establishment have looked adorable. We are from another state and desperately needed our baby groomed. Michael and staff was very attentive to the dogs being groomed as we walked in, going over little details with customers and really paying attention to details. I felt very comfortable leaving my nervous Annie girl and she did great! The price was very reasonable! They did a great job on grooming her! I would definitely recommend Canine Country and staff! I was researching dog groomers & mobile groomers in the area. But for whatever reason, they seemed quirky to me. Then again I'm pretty over protective of my fur baby and won't leave him with just anyone. I came across Canine Country and what I really liked about them was all the pictures they had of their dogs they have done. They have an Instagram and FB. It was a perfect example of their work. That's quite meaningful. I've seen examples of pics, but not a huge and regular collection as theirs. I called to speak with them and spoke with the owner Alexis. She is very friendly, informative, & knowledgable. We then met with her before setting up an appointment, & just had Mocha Coconut's first appointment. Mocha Coconut looks great and best of all he looked happy. I look forward to coming back. We had high hopes,,, but Jan 7th, they were dashed,,, hair cut was fine, but as you can see by the attached photo, three out of the four paws, the hair was cut so close it cut the skin. Our dog came home limping and licking his paws and we soon discovered what the problem was. We called the shop back and left a message with our contact information, to date,,,,, no response, so I guess he doesn't care???? Make your own judgement. read more

The reason I'm giving Canine Country 1 Star is because they do not know how to treat people. My cars transmission broke and my dog needed a grooming so I took a LYFT to Zephyrhills from New Tampa and rather then going back home I decided to wait the two (2) hours they said it would take. Long story short I had to use the toilet. They actually told me that I could not use the bathroom because of their insurance. I'm a senior woman that uses a walker AND they told me to go to McDonalds which is 1/2 mile down the road. I thought I'd take a walk...when I went down to the road there were NO SIDEWALKS I'd have to walk by the curb so I went back into the salon and the said I could not use the bathroom and I said "do you want me to go outside and pee like a dog and they actually said OK. I took my dog who only got a bath and her nails filed down and LEFT FOR GOOD! read more

They did an excellent job with the groom itself but refused to service my 12 year old Shih tzu any longer since we won't bring him in to be washed every 2 weeks and every month for a cut. I can wash my own dog. Not everyone can afford 100.00 a month is grooming expenses. They charged 55.00 which is 10-15.00 higher than anywhere else in Zephyrhills and Dade City. read more

We moved to Zephyrhills in late March of 2018. We were hoping to find a decent groomer for our two elderly Bichons, Misty and Buddy. We decided to try Canine Country because it was conveniently located near our home. They did a fantastic job! They asked us our preferences on coat length, etc., and we could not be happier with the outcome. If we want them to trim closer around their eyes or in other areas, we simply mention it to them, and they are happy to comply. Although our female Bichon, Misty, unfortunately passed away this past May (17.5 years old), we will continue to take our male Bichon, Buddy (14.5 years old), to Canine Country for his grooming needs! Buddy is excited to go for his appointments each month, which shows how comfortable he feels with both Michael and Alexis. They are very caring and careful with the pets they groom, and they always tell us when we arrive if any delays are anticipated. I highly recommend them for your pet grooming needs. read more

We really searched for a good groomer after moving to Zephyrhills. We were so spoiled by our previous groomer and it was so hard to leave our pup with a stranger. It took 2hrs and we were back to get her. She looked so adorable with bows and the grooming was perfect. I think the price is right for how Alexa did with our pup. Since moving to Zephyrhills in April I've been taking my dog Jersey to her vet to get her nails clipped. They always took just the very tip off and so 2 weeks later she would need them clipped again! Canine Country was recommended to me on a Zephyrhills Community Facebook group. I looked around on their Facebook page and website ... saw many before and after pictures of the clients they've worked on and I was highly impressed so I decided to give them a try! I was really hoping they could get my little dog's nails as short as I've seen in some of their pictures. I've never seen my dogs nails that short but she has never had her nails done with a grinder before so I was also apprehensive that she would be scared but also hopeful that she would be fine and they could get them really short! OMG! Michael did such an amazing job ... got them nice and short and neat ... AND he was so sweet and kind with Jersey so she didn't make a fuss AT ALL! I'm so happy I found them! I would also like to add that Michael and Alexis are so sweet and kind. I went in as a walk-in and they took Jersey right in ... they were pretty busy but took time to explain some things and we had a small chat about the wonderful pictures that they take of some of their clients before they leave! We took our Yorkie to CCC in December for grooming. We had gone there last year and was VERY impressed and didn't mind paying the extra to get such a good job. Well, this year the appointment couldn't have been more disappointing. They did NOT do as we ask, never touching the hair on his legs, didn't trim below his butt, took more off his back than we requested, it wasn't blended in well and the hair around his head was very uneven. Pretty sure a newbie or inexperienced groomer was behind this grooming. I called and since they never answer their phone, I had to leave a message but they have never called back. It is so sad as we were such happy customers and sent other folks out there but never again. We are just sorry they don't care more about their business; we will NOT be returning there. Now, we will be paying AGAIN to have him groomed properly. I know we are not the only disappointed customers, have friends in the same boat. read more
