I have gone to this business a few times and looked past the unfriendliness of the owner as well as…read morelooked past a few bad reviews I have read. But the last time I went in to get a simple thing done - my dog's nails cut, I was astonished at the actions of the owner. My dog is fearful of getting her nails cut, and often cries out during, but never has she tried to bite a person and or defecated while it was being done. The groomer (not the owner) was cutting my dog's nails when my dog started to cry out. When the owner came up to them she began yelling "stop it" at my dog, that was when I heard my dog starting to growl - unfortunately I did not see what the owner did also to cause my dog to defecate. She then took my dog off the table and embarrassed me by shoving her out the gate and claiming she could not cut her nails for fear of giving my dog a heart attack. No apologies, no advice on maybe what I could do next time to calm my dog down beforehand, no suggestions whatsoever. I basically felt kicked out of the store because she didn't know how to do her job. I did not appreciate it. I have never written a bad review before, but this was too much. The problem I had with this was one: she was telling the other groomer to get another muzzle and apparently having two small dog muzzles available for use at one time was too much for this business to think about in advance. When talking to the other groomer, in front of many customers, she was yelling at her to do things. "Barking" orders, if you will. Not only does she manage to be unprofessional to customers, but to her employees as well. Two and mostly: For as long as this woman has had her business around in Lemont, I would think she would have had the experience to know how to keep a dog calm while cutting nails or just basically know how to handle an animal. Does she do this with every animal that doesn't behave perfectly? What does she do to the animals when the owner isn't around? It seems this woman may be in the wrong business that a fearful dog crying out would send her into such stress. I would think she would act like she wants to keep her business and not scare away customers with her yelling, her unprofessionalism, and her basic lack of ability. I really do hope this is an isolated incident. I would hate to know that others' animals and the owners themselves are being treated this way. But after my dog and myself being treated this way at this establishment, I would highly advise going to another groomers.

I have taken my dog to Critter Cleaners three times and was charged a different price each of the three times, which is the only negative I find there - she has always been nice and personable and seems to do well with my dog.

I say this like it was easy, but my "baby" girl is 15 years old: blind, mostly deaf, and cantankerous! She doesn't trust a lot of people, and those who have tried to make her look beautiful typically get frustrated with her attitude and leave her looking lopsided. Not true with the wonderful ladies here! They were so patient and so gentle with her and cleaned her up so nicely. They took about five years off her appearance with their skill sets. I'm so grateful for this post-holiday miracle. The crew here was really top notch and if I lived in the same state, I'd be back her as frequently as possible.

So we were nervous to try yet another new place in the area. So glad we chose this place. The staff were friendly and had a lot of dogs coming in and out of the store when we checked my dog in for a haircut. He's a 9 lbs Havanese and we asked for a puppy cut. One of their wonderful staff came over and picked him. Their very caring Vet did a thorough exam. Ruling out everything, Pepper had a stroke. There was nothing we could do for him. Being in pain, unable to move, I made the hard decision to put him to sleep. I had Pepper for 12 years, I will miss him every day. DO NOT BOOK! I am in shock. What a nightmare! She was foul as soon as I opened the door and began unloading on me. My dog is a rescue so he gets anxious and shrinks a bit when people are loud and aggressive & she scared him to death. She did not even say hello, she just began berating me from the hall. She did not return my attempt at cordial words or reconciliatory behavior. Not even a hello, no meeting the dog. She didn't even set foot inside. She caused a loud scene. She has cost the company what would have been a $160 plus travel plus tip service every 6 -8 weeks. I am out of the hospital and in need and this was unnecessary escalatory nonsense. Today, N _y- didn't even enter my unit & in under three minutes in my condo hallway, called me "Rude as f_ck!", audibly for the neighbors. A medical professional was on their way to meet me for an evaluation & before greeting me stated "What was her problem?? She almost ran me over stomping off in a huff!" Common courtesy is part of the service industry. This woman imo should not be working with vulnerable animals unsupervised in a van. She couldn't display compassion for the dog in front of their owner so I shudder to think what would happen alone with a defenseless animal in a van. Her Jerry Springer level antics were unwarranted but this nasty woman N_ y _ swore and stomped away for no valid reason. There was a technical issue. I spoke with a gentleman first thing in the morning, hours prior to the appointment to explain the issue and how to navigate to avoid any problems. It was easily navigable with minor effort. Appliance delivery, a hospital worker, grocery delivery and a physical therapist had no problem with me today. I had other appointments, but my dog was my priority. This alleged professional acted like a sitcom over the top nasty DMV worker with an irrationally irritated attitude, like my mere presence was a hassle for her. I no longer trust this company, because they did not even check on me or text to ask what occurred. That shows (imo) their endorsement of her swearing and lack of concern for customer experience or loss of customers. She refused to listen to explanation for the technical issue & raged like a wrestler on steroids. I planned to rely upon this service every 6 -7 weeks for the foreseeable future while I recover. Her unnecessary actions & dropping the F Bomb have cost them a customer, but they clearly aren't concerned, because they didn't check in or follow up, And that makes me worry for the animals in the care of people knowingly employing someone like this woman, I don't trust my dog with aggressive hot headed persons - nor should anyone imo.
