We meet Novi before Wednesday Addams was even born. I googled ... best dog groomers in Chicago. I came across a site called "18 BEST CHICAGO DOG GROOMERS." I spoke to several of them and based on the personality of the phone call and my sixth sense (which hasn't let me down, yet), I choose to visit a few. Distance didn't matter to me. This particular shoppe that I called said Novi was the only groomer able to groom her as we requested. Novi probably doesn't even know about how we found him. We meet him before she was even born and Wednesday Addams has been going to him for over two years now. Not like it matters, but the shoppe that he came from was in the top half of the list. Not only is Novi an excellent and skilled groomer, he is a good person with an excellent character. He has became not only our friend, but a part of our family. Our pooch was fortunate enough to have someone home with her the entire first year. My husband and I would only leave the house together for meal out when she was groomed because we didn't trust anyone else with her other than Novi. He comforted us when we were terrified to leave her. He treats his clients as they are his own pets. He always tries to accommodate us and our needs with Wednesday. He offers good suggestIons and good advice. He also tells us when we have bad ideas about modifying her cut, lol. He is always right! At least 30-40 people redirect, stop or pullover a week to see Wednesday and engage with her during her walks. I would speculate she would get half the attention without Novi's pristine grooming. Today was my first time visiting Novi to give my Pomsky, North, a much needed spa day. What first drew me to Novi was their reviews and gallery of their work. I booked an appt yesterday and was seen today! Although small, this place is impeccably clean and actually very beautiful! You can see that no expense was spared in the front lobby. Aside from aesthetics, I spoke with Christian who was very knowledgeable and explained/discussed everything with me and made me feel very secure. When I picked up North, she was so beautiful, soft, fluffy... I was beyond satisfied with the service. They are also VERY reasonably priced. I already booked appointments for not only North, but my Frenchie, as well. 10/10 would recommend. read more

I am thrilled that I can finally take Frida to very professional salon! She is red toy poodle and her hair demand haircut that is typical for poodle! Poodle grooming is considered as the highest level of knowledge in grooming world! There is a saying: You are a groomer if you know how to do a haircut on poodle. This place is new, on a small strip mall . It has few little places around so you can do shoping or grab a lunch until you are waiting for your dog to be pampered! Novi, who is also the owner of the shop is above educated and familiar with dogs, as he himself is owner of a three cute dogs. I felt immediately connection with him, through the way he talk and understand my concerns! He listened me and he politely explained what can and cannot be done with Frida, and I appreciate that as he helped me understand and learn new things. Can't wait to pick up her and see her fluffy coat! Frida is not very trusting dog but she liked him. And that is five star for Novi for shure! read more

I have been bringing my Ausiedoodle here since she puppy. I'm so impressed with the team and care that goes into the dogs that I drive in from the city for our monthly appointments. My brother has gone through so many groomers for his Pomskies prior to coming to Novi and now he too brings his dogs in monthly for their spa days. We had our dog groomed at the Novi Grooming today . Place looks kind of small from the outside but it's quite nice. It's a brand new place , very clean. An owner was nice and knowledgeable. We used to take our dog somewhere else. The biggest thing we have noticed is the way our dog acted when he left the groomer. It used to take him a whole day to recoup. He is very lively and playful. I think they don't keep them caged and that's what makes the biggest difference. We will definitely be back . read more

Today was the first time coming here and I couldn't be more happy with the outcome. For the past couple of years my Husky had been sick and has finally recovered. Being so sick meant grooming was difficult at best. She was in need of a good grooming but I wasn't sure how she would react because of everything she has been through. Upon entering we were greeted and I was able to explain everything my dog has gone through. When I went to pick her up I spoke with Becca, her groomer. Becca was wonderful and really focused in on making my Husky comfortable. I couldn't believe when she came out how white she looked. So clean and happy. She never looked this good from her previous groomer (Countryside Vet). Will be back at the end of the year for another grooming. read more

I have been going to Novi for years. I always have first appointment of the day and usually wait patiently for 20 min to check in. I received a call today when I was 10 min late telling me they MAY not be able to take my dog because I am late. Needless to say I left the dog for his 9 am appointment and took my other dog home. Last time I was there with my Shitz zu I believe a beginner cut her because she had a blank spot of fur on her nose. I feel they are way too busy and could care less and treat people very rudely when the owner is not there! The owner is very sweet. read more
