We would always book an extra large suite with patio access allowing the dogs to go in and out of a doggie door all day long and they had plenty of room within the suite and would have some yard/playtime, depending on their temperament. Every suite door has a paper with all the details about your animal and any special dietary restrictions or temperament issues so anybody dealing with your dog knows what's up before they even approach them. Our dogs were always happy when we picked them up.

And a place that can handle all his medications. After several failures, I was referred to this location through Shelton's adoption center, One Tail At A Time. He has never been so calm and chill, leaving boarding, too bad I missed a video opp! Typically he is all ball of anxiety, this is also the first time he's gone straight to sleep after arriving home!! Checking in, the staff said, "if you don't hear from us, that is a good thing." I was a bit skeptical, but that was a true statement! They called when something was right with his poop when there was extra medication in his bag and to inquire about his toys. I appreciated the ongoing communication, and judging by the report card, he loved the team. I was side-eying the $88 a day (with a private patio), but it is worth the price (esp if your pet is non-animal friendly). The basic suites are spacious for a short stay.

I believe I was in contact with KIM who honestly made me feel like I was just chatting with a friend! She was so approachable, understanding, and really went into the details of what option would best support my tiny fur children. Fast forward 3 months and we just wrapped up our in-home training package with Maureen! I cannot stress how amazing the entire experience was. Maureen has truly changed our lives for the better. Where we started to where we are now is night and day better, especially for my more aggressive dog Luna! We went from no one being able to enter our apartment with the dogs out to now the dogs just hanging out when people are here! Maureen is patient with pets AND people. She is always positive and really explains the WHY of the behaviors and outcomes. She's always on time, super professional, and gave us practical tools that actually work to truly set our dogs up for success but also US up for success as "parents" Honestly, I am a little sad Maureen is so great at her job because we will miss her coming over! If you want a trainer who knows her stuff and makes the whole process feel doable, Maureen is your person!

She told me she had practiced cutting her parent's Pomeranian's hair - so what she DID to my Pomeranian really makes me mad!! A CHOP JOB just like the other 1 star reviews mention yrs back- BELIEVE IT- because she is NOT consistent. I think you ought to go back to grooming school Shannon and you DESERVE this review especially fr charging $70 for bullshit! Shannon told me my dog was trying to bite her and kept running around and hiding. Really? Because I know my dog- she must have felt pretty threatened to do these things. How did she even get to that point? You cld have CALLED me and I wld have come to assist you or you cld have terminated the session and not charge me $70 fr a chop job and hack off 3/4 of my dogs beautiful tail!! *********************** Not consistent- Sometimes they won't call you back. Not a worthy job or consistent. I literally had to cut stray long hairs to make it even and it will take MANY MONTHS fr my dogs fur to grow back. The place is EMPTY fr a REASON.

Our dog went through an amputation related to a cancerous tumor, and the kindness and steadiness of the staff made an overwhelming situation feel supported at every step. The receptionists, vet techs, doctors--all wonderful--professional, warm, welcoming--and all took the time to carefully explain every part of the process, from the first appointment, diagnosis, surgery, recovery, financing, etc. Dr. Peacock is everything you'd want your vet (or your own doctor) to be. He is a highly experienced surgeon--and doctors at that level often lack the "bedside manner" so crucial to clear communication and a healthy doctor/patient/patient's family relationship. Dr. Peacock dispelled all those concerns the moment he walked in the room. He is warm and down to earth. He was so helpful--examining our dog, explaining the issue and appropriate procedure--and answering all of our questions (some of which we likely asked more than once) with patience, kindness, and candor. I can't express enough how positive the entire experience was. Every single person made us feel comfortable, confident in our dog's care, and welcome. And our dog is good as new (so to speak!) Thank you, everyone at Aurora!

Knowing she…read morehad to grow quickly as she had a litter of puppies at only 11 months old, I was happy to spoil her. The kibble the shelter provided remained untouched for three meals in a row, and mixing in wet food meant she was picking out just the wet food. I also tried to start training her with treats I got at PetCo but she ignored the treats, and I began to think she wasn't food motivated. Since I'm a new pet owner, I was hoping there was a pet shop close to home in Andersonville and I came across Jameson Loves Danger. I came in and the guy at the counter helped me navigate the dog food options after I explained Daisy does not like dry food. I found some dry food toppers Daisy absolutely loves (Stella and Chewys meal mixers and Stella's Stew). Daisy at her whole bowl including the kibble! She didn't like the bacon flavored treat but was glad to hear of their 100% guarantee which meant I could exchange the treat for something else. We tried a few samples and the recommended freeze dried chicken (VitalEssentials) was a home run. Daisy is definitely food motivated now! I went ahead and booked a grooming appointment but recommend making them in advance since the earliest available was 3 weeks out. She also looks really cute in her new collar. I know she is getting a new toy from her next time since she wants already going crazy at some of the toys just walking by them in the store. I will definitely be back to spoil this perfect baby!
