Low and behold a contractor comes out and I find out not only is the subflooring repair not on the estimate, the sq ft of flooring is wrong and it's got sink faucets instead of shower heads (vanity was going to be untouched by this project). The boss lady calls me and first thing out her mouth is we're going to start from scratch.... so your not even going to try to make this right? Your just going to throw it all away and start over like this huge mess up didn't happen? Like y'all didn't help me take out a credit line on a project estimate that wasn't accurate and btw, I asked to see it several times, was refused based on proprietary something, but had he shown me maybe it would've been caught. She says it's obvious I can't be made happy when she didn't even try! All I asked was for a sales person who actually knows what their doing and a contractor to come out (which was already scheduled for Friday so I guess that's cancelled to?) To give me real prices instead of half a quote. Moral of the story, if they mess up they're just going to trash your project instead of making it right. Good thing nothing had started yet, God knows how they would've screwed us over had the project actually gotten started. Found out the assumption was made that I would expect them to do the whole project for the original price. I never said nor implied such although that would be making it right when they royally messed up. I attempted to try and find a resolution but they didn't even try.

in life, there are three criteria for people putting up with you and your work; being on time,…read moredoing good work, and being likable and easy to work with. as long as you have two of these things, you'll stick around. at master framers, i did not have two of these things. i came into the shop with a print i wanted framed for a christmas present shortly after thanksgiving. i was told it would be ready by december 13th at the latest but probably on the 10th. i walked in on the 17th assuming that would be plenty of time, but the pieces of the frame hadn't even been called in yet. i left and received a call the next morning saying it was ready... that was quick! it didn't seem to take too long once they remembered it had to get done. unfortunately, that was my last chance to drive to st paul between my jobs before christmas and i wasn't able to pick up my package until a few days after christmas. not during the ordering process, nor when i was told it was very late, or when i finally picked up the finished product, not one smile. out of the three times i was helped, customer service was not. great. i was not offered even a small complimentary refund as an apology for the inconvenience. the only thing i can say for master framers is that... well, it got done. eventually. and it did look great. i wish i would've shopped around more for a better price. i will not use master framers again.

I recently bought three boxes of tile from this place, drove up to pick it up at the back delivery…read moredoor. Staff seemed helpful and pretty nice. The guy loaded them up and I drove off, again very friendly and helpful. My project started two weeks after that. My contractor went to open up the boxes and started to work. When he got to the third box, five out of six tiles were cracked or broken. My contractor told me they should stand by the tile and do an exchange. So I called them to let them know and that I was in the middle of my project and needed another box and that one box was broken, so would I be able to bring these pieces back and exchange for a new box? They informed me that once the tile leaves their store, they aren't responsible anymore! Do they think I enjoyed driving another 30 miles to deal with this in the middle of my project? So I asked I'm supposed to just buy another box with no assistance? She informed me that it was company policy! I asked her to talk to a manager, she came back and said, sorry we can't do anything for you. WOW! Thanks for letting me know you have such a crappy policy and ZERO customer service! I should've shopped at the TILE SHOP! Next time we will be.
