Our experience with Cannon Pools has been nothing short of awful. We called in August to schedule our pool closing and were told they weren't scheduling yet, but that they would take our number and call us when they started. Weeks went by with no call. When we followed up in September, we were told the woman who scheduled closings wasn't there, but that our number would be added to the list, the same list we were supposedly already on. Still, no one ever contacted us. By early October, with temperatures dropping into the 30s at night, my husband called again. This time, we were told that they had actually been scheduling closings since August, meaning we had been completely misled from the start. Once again, we were told someone would call us to schedule, and once again, no call ever came. After being ignored and given the runaround for nearly two months, we've now switched to another company. Cannon Pools clearly has no organization, accountability, or regard for customer service. If you value your time and your pool, go elsewhere; this company is entirely unreliable. read more

I've used these guys since I first bought my pool from them in 2011. They've always been fantastic to work with up to the last couple of years. It seems like the experienced and knowledgeable people that used to be there to assist have all gone and have been replaced with high school kids that only know how to upsell chemicals. I've been having a clarity issue this year, long story short, they made the problem worse with what they had me do to fix it, then I got to pay for the stuff to fix the problem they created. I even changed the sand in the filter at their suggestion, which it turns out is not the problem. $400. Hope the margin was good on the sales because I'll never be in again. This business delivered a swim spa to us that had not been winterized. The plumbing was frozen and water wouldn't circulate. I had depended on information from them that it was safe to deliver in freezing temperatures. I subsequently found out from the same individuals that they had delivered a frozen spa to another customer the previous week. They had pretended that this never happens and encouraged me to fill tub with hot water even before connecting the electricity to it. The spa has not yet functioned properly, they insist on full payment. Beware of this buisness as they are delivering spas that are not winterized in freezing temperatures. read more

I advise anyone looking to install an inground pool not to go with Cannon. the owner came and assured me of the installation process and how the pool would be installed. He lied and was not available to assist me when I contacted him throughout the installation. they left all of the debris and boxes in my yard after completion. they did not level my yard as was agreed upon. I have a 3 foot dip of my yard and my fence is leaning from the pressure of the dirt. the only person that was a bright light at the end of this nightmare was the guy who came to show us how to take care of the salt water system. he removed all of the debris that the installer left ( he had to make six trips to get all of it out if my yard) and that was not his job. that company is horrible. they just want your money and once you've paid, they're done with you even as your pool is installed and only partly finished. I will be a voice against this company for the foreseeable future as i paid over $30k for my disabled son to enjoy the one thing he loves to do - swim! read more

We have been customers of Cannon pools and spa Taft Rd. N. Syracuse for many years. Two representatives that we work with very closely are; Ari Malzman & Jeffrey LeMon. From our first purchase 25 years ago for an above ground pool, over the past several years a hot tub, a pool heater and years of stop and go purchases everyone at Cannon pool and spa take personal pride to serve us. Ari has been extremely healpful anytime we call he makes sure we get fast service. Recently I told Ari we were going to sell our hot tub. He told me to list it and he also said any customers that are looking for a good used hot tub he will refer them to us. That is above and beyond. With Ari's help we sold our hot tub quickly. Cannon pools is wonderful!!! We worked with Jeff last fall and had a fantastic experience. Not only did he help us make our dream back yard a reality, he continues to provide us with support and answer any questions that arise as new pool owners. One of the principals of Cannon Pools came to my home to look at the proposed location for our in ground pool. He looked into my face (and my husbands) and said, "it's not going to be a problem, no problem at all". GREAT!! My husband and I have wanted a pool for a number of years and we would finally get one this summer! We then went inside to discuss the pricing and time frame, all was business as usual. Before he left he asked to look at the location again, we all walked back outside, scouted where the electrical "stuff" would need to go, and again, he mentioned it would be a week's work and no problem at all. That evening, my husband and I discussed the pool design and thought maybe a slightly different shape would fit better in our yard, so we emailed the same principal and requested a quote update with the new pool shape. Our response was a phone call a week later stating, "your location is going to be too much of a challenge for us and our team, but we are happy to sell you the kit for someone else to put in". WHAT???? First the location is not a problem, then it "Magically" is, but they still want us to buy the pool kit?? So what, someone less skilled can put it in and we end up with no warranty?!?!?!?!? This is CRAP! They simply did not want to devote a crew to work at our house for a week when, as he stated when at my house, they are slapping pools into all the new housing developments, it's easy and quick work. UNBELIEVABLE! I have told all my coworkers, and anyone else looking for a pool, to watch out for Cannon Pools and their "only helpful and accommodating if it will be easy and fast" approach to selling pools. UPDATE: I was provided with a letter stating the pool kit, if purchased through Cannon, would come with their pool warranty. read more

The process of putting in a pool was very daunting but I am pleased to say that Cannon took the stress out. The contracting process was easy and quick despite it being a very busy season for pools. Jeff was quick to return calls and emails. The excavation crew and pool building crew were amazing. I have never seen people work so hard. The quality of the work is excellent as well. I would potentially recommend hiring your own landscape company to handle the backfill and grading. Overall I would definitely recommend Cannon and would use them again should I ever need to in the future. read more
