i have a inground pool that need work to and needed a new liner they did a fantastic job on the concrete inside pool. This was in October 2023 the guy that contracted from them first ordered a wrong liner size it was to small then he ordered another one that was a little to big but as he knew time was running out do to high tablet water and they were very well aware of the issue.. so he finally finished installing it even the liner was a little big, he clamped a side of the liner. We opened it in may of 2024 tried to contact the installer and got no return call and also when he got done repairing the pool he said he will never do this pool ever again because of the complication he well I guess he really wasnt gonna back if anything was wrong.. so in 2024 I contacted tarpons pool a couple of times that summer and never got a call back: the issue was when we opened it w024 there was a lot of crinkles in the bottom of the pool and the liner stated to come over the side of the . I tried the installer again and tarpons pools and got no responds. It was time to close the pool for the summer of 2024 and remind you it wasn't even a year. in the june of 2025 opened the pool and more wrinkles and still coming apart meaning the liner. I finally,y got a hold of somebody at the pool place and the manager called me back a few times and he said he will get ahold of the contractor that did the work and still no return call from the contractor so I called again and I was told that somebody from tarpons will come out and look at the issues well they never did called again the answer I got well there is only 1 year warranty even thought he liner has a 10 year warranty on it. So the question was what do u mean 1 year warranty when the liner has a 10 year warranty and why wasn't this explained to me. Yes I know it's 2025 before someone finally reached out if someone would of called me back within the 1 year which again I tried June w024 to get this straightened around. The new liner cost $10,000 with no warranty for this issue. Again remind you the contractor said he would never work on this pool again. So if you get any work and no liner makes sure they explain what's warranty or not. i got a estimate from them in the mail for around 1,800 dollars to try to fix the issues very disappointed with this company. the installer did a fantastic job job repairing the bottom of the pool this was the first liner that was to small.. Terrible place to get a pool from. We purchased an above ground pool. When it came time for them to dig the yard up one guy showed up and told us he would be back the next day to start. He never showed back up until 4 days later on a Friday. He then dug a little of the yard up and his machine broke so he left. He assured and guaranteed us the pool would be up by that Sunday however it was not. Today we called for them to tell us the machine is still broken and will take days to repair and they are not willing to rent another machine because now we have a ton of water from the rain where he dug some of the yard up. I bought a new Hayward Pool Pump on May 15, 2021. The pump quit September 2, 2022. I asked for some consideration as a pool pump should last at least 6-8 years at a minimum. They stuck hard to the one year warranty. They didn't offer to try to work with Hayward, repair for free, or any type of compensation for an obviously lemon pool pump. I am done with them. Their Fairmount store is always under stocked. Phil is NEVER in and he is the decision maker at Taft road. I'm am now a FORMER Tarsons customer. I bought a hot tub from Tarson Pools four years ago. Last year, it wasn't even three years old and the heater went. I had to call to have a repair man come out and fix it. It took a month to get them to come. This summer, the spa is barely 4 years old and the same thing happened. I brought in a pump that had a very small leak. We could have ran that pump all year and maybe lost a gallon of water. I replaced a seal and it was still leaking. I brought it in for service and they replaced two more parts. After replacing the two parts not only was it still leaking, but now it wouldn't pull water at all. After taking the pump back they said now there are hairline cracks and the pump needed to be replaced, but wait there's more! If you buy a pump through them they will refund me the money I spent for the service that broke my pump. Hmm. Feels like a bad infomercial. I explained that was like me taking my car for an oil change and now the engine doesn't work. The response can't be "I will refund you for the oil change on the car I broke if you buy a new car from me." The kid who answered the phone got it. The manager who he put on came on all fired up. She was rude and nasty. No wonder when you pull into their lot at Tarson it is empty, but Liverpool Pools is packed. She said she didn't see it that way and all she was willing to do was refund me for the money that I spent for her to break my pump and that is all that they will do for me. Buyers beware. Use your credit card so you can dispute the charge when it goes horribly wrong. Or, better yet, just go somewhere else and save the frustration. I bought a new pump, but not from them. read more

We went to Tarsons to buy our new Hot Tub last October. When they delivered our hot tub, there were many broken parts, and missing parts. They actually sold us an used Hot Tub, it was easy to see when they installed this tub. I mentioned to the installer that this tub did not look new to us. They ignored us and kept changing the subject. I was still trying to get several parts replaced and it finally took me 7 months to get the parts replaced, through BullFrog, because their tech would not return my calls. I gave up with calling Tarsons, and called Bulldog directly. Bullfrog Corp. were great to deal with, and they shipped our parts out directly to our home. As one reviewer mentioned, once they get your deposit, the service and customer care disappears. I was in business for 48 years, and could not believe how Tarsons can stay in business operating in this manner. I can not recommend them for Hot Tubs or chemicals. The staff at Tarsons is great. I have been having problems with getting my water stabilized and was gong to a place closer to me on the other end of Taft. After two days of buying chemicals from them with no change o went to Tarson and $40 later the main issues are solved. The girls was so sweet and said the water had a lot of issue but let's deal with a couple at a time. she sent me home with some chemicals with written instructions on how to put them in. Tarson Pools started the install on June 7th, it has been the worst experience I have ever had with any company. They installed the liner wrong and there was wrinkles and it did not fit correctly. They crushed the lights when they backfilled. Had to install new lights. They patched the base and it looks horrible. The new liner was installed and the floor has divots all over and it's uneven. They destroyed my driveway when they had the concrete truck come. Destroyed my lawn. Left garbage all over my yard. The list goes on and on. Stay away from this company. read more

I'm not generally a complainer, but I came home after a day on the road to find my pool prematurely closed with no notice (I received a phone call today, but wasn't able to listen to it until I was home). I had the heater on for the last 24 hours, and my children cried because we were planning to swim. All the pool equipment was left in my yard, because without notice, I had made no room in my shed. We have lost the last three weeks of a fairly short season, and I just left my first heated voice message ever. I am so upset. read more

Just slightly over a year old, and upon closer inspection, I realized they did not I reiterate "did not" use stainless steel bolts in an area that would clearly call for "stainless steel" now they leave me to deal with corroded and rusting nuts and bolts. What kind of BS is that. Go somewhere else and keep a very close eye on who ever you use. I would not recommend "Tarson". It comes with great regret that I can not give a lower rating. I purchased a pool in 2020 and was put off, stalled and never given information unless I initiated the call about my install. Ground was broke after Thanksgiving and I had to cover the pool in December due to the weather. The pumps/filters were never tested before closing. But that was considered an official closing because the lines were blown out. Customer service was terrible once they got my deposit. They failed to explain the difference in pool covers leaving us without a safety cover we believed we were receiving. This was a direct question asked when signing the contract. It is difficult to get anyone to answer questions and often they shift the blame when things are not how they want them to be rather than help a customer out that not only bought a pool but a hot tub from the company. It is a shame that they do not look out for the local families. Now I will have to go elsewhere for good, local, attentive and responsive service. read more

I agree, if I could give one star I would. Five times they came to my house and five times told me something different. The poor techs they sent had no idea what they were doing. Paid $700 and still pool not running correctly. Called stiles pools, they came over that day and fixed the pool on 20 minutes. Have done business with tarson for over 20 years. Will never do so again. Call tarson pools at your peril. They are either over charging to make money improperly or they are just plain incompetent. It is very sad. read more

I have a problem with an in-ground pool I bought from Tarson. I called and asked about having someone make a service call to repair the pool. I was told they are not accepting new customers at this time. How can I be a NEW customer when I bought the pool from them? I told "ABBY" I bought the pool from them and she said I hadn't used their service department in the last couple of yrs so I would be considered a "new" customer. Once they get your pool deposit that's where things fall apart. Told we could and would get a pool site inspection. Waited to get permit based on plan a. Sub contractor calls after weeks of trying for site inspection an the pool is in. Tells me he is to busy for a site inpection. Good thing I didn't wait any longer to get the pool permit or we would be waiting weeks longer for install. Now I have to notify the town its plan b a different location. I push back with our promise, we have a septic etc he comes out on a Sunday. Day of install they were friendly and did their job. But, one they heard we were using blue camel the workers start bad mouthing water company in front of me. Boss says be professional. As water guy shows up, as they were finishing up they rush and kills themselves to leave. Not sure if water guy or cause it was 2pm and hurry to leave. But i lean towards the first based on earlier. They did not go over much on the pool at all. Maybe that's not their job. Someone needs to. Tarson sales lady recommended the water company. Our pool pump has a slight water leak and we were told they would send service out to go over how to operate pool properly and look at our pump. The leak was caught by water guy when almost done filling and the installers were gone. So far we get oh he will come when he comes the day we agree to. I get they have a business to run but we have jobs to go work around. The one day we set up was Friday the other 2 appointments canceled so he had to move up to noon and could not do 3pm. So they/us cancelled. Suppose to call Hubble about today on his cell but he's heard not one word. My husband can only be home if an appointment is set up not a last minute we are on the way. So approx 1 week1/2 later we still wait and are googling and you tubing everything. Kids love the pool. Hope is lasts and is put together well. They have our money and we are on our own I guys figuring it out. Cause who knows when they will show up. When service ever is able to come out at a mutual time to go over pool i will review that. Maybe our process is an exception but that's all i can review, I hope it is. I'd give it one star but the only help we really got was from kristi. The staff at both the Cortland and Syracuse locations have been very helpful and courteous with explaining the process for submitting a warranty claim on our pool liner and getting us on our way to getting our new liner installed. Spoke to someone by the name of Alexis at the Taft road location who was very rude and questioned my education. I simply asked her to have someone look at my pool. I am the customer who pays right? This place is a train wreck of customer non-service, starting with our spa purchase and delivery 14 years ago, The delivery guy tells us he was sleep-deprived, hauling this 550 lb spa up our deck, and then he falls asleep in the truck in our driveway late at night coming back with a part! When we complained about this, we were told we had "an attitude!!" So, 14 years later we need this small( 2"X 1-1-2", if that), plastic clip to hold down the cover. First, walking in, all the staff seems disconnected and disinterested. After a 10 minute dig around the stock room a clerk tells us the clip is $27.00! No thanks! I have owned a pool for 20 years and have always opened it myself, I decided to go with this company to open my pool as I did not cover my pool this past winter. They assured me that they could open it and clean it. They came a couple of times and dumped chemicals into my pool and then stated that they could not clean it because the water wasn't clear. I then stated that's why I hired your company. Needless to say I went with Camillus Pool and Spa, a company that knows what they are doing. I've had to drain my pool and take back liner to repair sink holes just under wall base 4 times in 6 years. The first year I called and was told basically to go away there was no warranty. Extremely poor customer service! They do the removable mesh pool fences and we received a quote by Angel over the phone. She was going to have the person that does them call us since we wanted to go ahead with installing. Never heard from him, so we called back and told Angel. She said she would call us back or have someone else call us. We never heard from either person. I tried several times after that to talk with angel and she wouldn't return my calls. I left a couple vm telling and finally left her one saying that it was my last attempt with them (she was in the office according to customer service). I called again today and a very rude girl informed me Angel was the store manager when I asked her. When I inquired about the owners full names, she just told me the Tarson family. I had to say to her, if I was to write a letter, what would be the persons first name to address it to. She curtly told me Bob. I can't get over how rude and unhelpful they all seem to be! We have a child a need something to help make our pool safe. Apparently they don't want or need the business nor do they care about pool safety apparently.! Will never, ever do business with them again and strongly detour others as well! And, I will make it a point to let everyone I know with a pool not to do business with them as well. read more
