We found this place through a game called RIO adventure cards Michigan. We scratched off the ticket and the adventure was to tube down the snow hill and have dinner at the cedar lodge; note: most locals know this place as cannonsburg. We decided to not tube and just have drinks at the lodge. There is a dirt parking lot out front, and lots of stairs to get to the restaurant. I did not see an elevator not ask if there was one, sorry. The building is dated, but clean. Reminded me of a local neighborhood ski lodge. The carpets were dark brown and stained, the bathroom had hard water stains in the toilets, the glass to watch activities outside needed to be cleaned and the overall vibe was country hick. There were plenty of children hanging about having food without parents at least for the first hour we were there. Our waitress was very sweet. She did here best to get us the answers we needed. For example, my menu had spinach and artichoke dip as a appetizer and my mother's did not. When asked she didn't know the answer. Had to go find out and when she came back she found out she had issues us two different menus.. The margarita was amazing. I did not like the sangria. They put a cinnamon on top that just overpowered everything in my opinion. We had an order of chicken wings and french fries. We had to send the french fries back because they were cold. The chicken wings did come out hot. Chicken wings were nothing to speak of. Overall, the experience was sub par. I will not be going back anytime soon or recommending it to a family or friend.

It's been a good while since we've been here, since you gotta make a reservation online for tubing. So plan ahead if you would like to go because the time slots get filled fast! Came here on a Saturday morning- The check in for tubing is all the way on the left side, outside of the building in a little window. Everyone in your group needs to do a waiver. It was a pretty smooth experience and because we were the first to arrive it was so nice to go up and down without the line. There are four lanes and each one was slightly different in a very fun way. Highly recommend going tubing! :)

A review for the Cedar Lodge @ Cannonsburg: There are a couple dining options at Cannonsburg including the outdoor shipping container 'bar' with quick items as well as the indoor/first floor counter service that offers tenders/fries/cocoa/etc. All is what you'd expect... fried, fast and what the kids like. Upstairs you'll find the Cedar Lodge where it's full service sit down and a full bar. It's pretty cozy up there with a fire place and a nice view of the ski hill - something we took advantage of while our kids took ski lessons. We could have a drink, a bite for dinner and watch them go up and down the hill with their instructor. The service was solid. They had a staff of 4 working on Monday night with a half full dining area. They were fast, kind and very attentive. The menu is pretty great including soups, salads, sandwiches, a few entrees, full list of apps and a good kids menu. They beverage list is great too including local draft beer. We were surprised at how many tables were have casual adult bevs and dinner on a Monday night - us included. The food was great. I had the nachos (it's a ton! and definitely sharable). Husband had the chili (it was sweet and spicy) as well as the fries. All was tasty and huge portions. Overall, our experience was great. It was exactly what we needed for an hour while the kids skied: a great view of them on the hill, wine/beer and some tasty eats. We do recommend!

I've been to Cannonsburg a few times in 2018, and in 2022. In 2018, I went tubing, not sure how much the price was, because I went with the school event. In 2022, I went to Cannonsburg to snowboard. The price for a student was 33 dollars, including the rent for the shoes and the board/ski. Helmet rental was another 13 dollars. Each step was clearly told by the cashiers and we were guided through the paying process, the shoes, and the board. It was super cold both times I went in January and there were two big fire pits with chairs around, where we could thaw our hands and feet. This is a very nice place to go! Lots of courses to ride your skis/boards

There's a good chance I love Cannonsburg so much because I've been going pretty much my whole life. It's so much more than just a ski hill though! In the summer there are trails for running, biking, and of course hiking up the hills. The back deck area has picnic tables with umbrellas, and there are a good amount of them. There are table at the base of the hills as well, and they are all spaced out a good distance. This year was the introduction of The Sweet Spot. It's a little trailer behind the main lodge that serves all sorts of ice cream, desserts, and drinks. It's so nice being able to sit outside with a Tito's lemonade [adult] slushie and enjoy the view! They also have limited food options. The lodge is closed due to covid, but they have porta-potties behind the rental area. They seem to be kept quite clean too. There are stickers to indicate 6ft spacing in line, which is nice too. Also in the summer they had Backyard BBQ nights once a week. They brought out a grill and served hot dogs, burgers, fries, chips... I only went once, but it was really tasty, and seemed popular! During the winter they offer skiing as well as tubing. I went tubing last year and it was so much fun! If you get the right tubing operators they play fun music and are really energetic and fun. They are helpful with providing pushes or spins, and help facilitate racing between groups. It's a blast, and I can't wait to go back this year! The lodge and the snack area are pretty nice compared to some other ski areas, in my opinion. There is a ton of seating, and the food is actually pretty good. Though the real treat is the bar upstairs. Again, lots of seating, but a little quieter than the main lodge, and great views! I definitely recommend Cannonsburg for family activities, a chance to enjoy being outside, and overall great fun!
