Came here for my jobs kick off event, second year in a row--it's fun because you get a ticket and food ticket! Food is in back corner of the park near the lake so you get a nice view. Plus all you can eat chicken, hot dogs, burgers, soda, and some salad options. Then you get to go on all the rides. It was a nice day spending with my work friends and got a nice day at Canobie! Plus the Taylor Swift show this year was awesome! She had three shows, and two different sets! I liked the second set since it was Taylor's newer songs. This is a great amusement and water park combined with rides, easy, scary, water fun, shows, food and gifts. It's good for all ages. There is free parking which is a plus. You pay for a ticket but it's unlimited rides for all day. I've been coming for over twenty years now and some things are the same but some things are new and you always enjoy yourself. I found out the train ride isn't running due to repairs of an Italian restaurant so they had to remove the tracks but I was told it will be back, like maybe next year. So you go on a boat ride on the lake, or you take a ride on top of the lake for a breathtaking view on the Sky Ride, go on the merry go round, the Ferris wheel, get wet on the Boston Tea Party. So much to do! The people working here are helpful and friendly. So if you haven't been to Canobie Lake Park in Salem NH, put it on your list to do this summer. read more

My son loves going to Canobie Lake Park. I think it's the perfect park if you have a toddler/young elementary aged kid. The little kiddle land is perfect to just bounce between riders without a wait. The train ride is cute and myself and my son love the little dragon coaster. The adult rides did have long lines, but I was there with my son so didn't really get a chance to wait for those anyways. The Taylor Swift cover band they have right now was actually super fun and entertaining. The performer makes for an impressive Taylor Swift! To me the greatest room for improvement here is the photo. It is just not very good and the options are random/spread out. Like you can get chicken tenders at one spot, but then have to go across the park if you want a hot dog. We went with BBQ and while it was pricey, it was not very good. read more

Brought my granddaughter here on Friday 7/24/26. My best advice is not to go. They've recently begin offering seasons passes. In my experience this has created a park overrun by unsupervised children. I personally had been threatened by a 16 year old because I told them that they weren't cutting in front of us in line. They had done it on the first 3 rides we went on. One time they had 9 kids get in front of us. The same group of teens had been harassing another adult in line, then they were picking on a young child. When I asked to speak to their parents because I couldn't find security, I had been told they "have season passes" and would be dropped off at open and picked up at close. This park needs to have age restrictions for solo attendance. Under 18 should require supervision. It was the worst experience I have had in a long time. read more

Canobie Lake Park is a smaller amusement park that has the cutest vintage vibes. It's a must-visit during the summer. While there aren't a ton of roller coasters, there are plenty of the classic rides - a Ferris wheel, carousel, sky tram, and even a boat ride on the nearby lake. I have so much fun every time I visit. It's about $60 for adults, but they allow reentry and parking is free. The only thing missing at Canobie is vegan options. Aside from fries, dole whip, chips & salsa, and beans or rice, there's not much to eat. A veggie burger or veggie hotdog would be nice! read more

Me and my friends went on the ride untamed. Our ride attendant, Braydon, was PHENOMENAL! TOP TIER! He was very helpful, kind, and even made sure to say "I'm about to go on my lunch break right now, but i'll make sure to tell my coworker to get you on this ride very quickly" (we were in the disability line). I have loved Canobie Lake since I was a kid, and it's so fun sharing it now with my own children! We had a great day today - it wasn't too crowded, lines moved quickly, and there were tables with shade available in the water park. I'm writing this review specifically to let people know about the hamburgers. That might seem a little weird, but all the kids today had a situation with the hamburgers. They come wrapped in foil so you can't see them, and they come with cheese, lettuce, tomato, and pickles. One of the kids with me threw his out (after paying $15 for it) because he didn't know it came with all that stuff on it, another reluctantly ate his after commenting that it was weird that it had all that stuff on it, and I asked if I could just get a plain patty on a bun for the 3rd child but was told no because they don't do custom orders. It seems strange to me that at a venue frequented by kids, you wouldn't be able to get a plain burger. And I wonder how many people end up having to buy a new meal because their child won't eat a burger that has all that stuff on it. I mean, if you know kids, you know many aren't going to eat something that has at least one of those things on it! In general the food was actually pretty bad, considering the price. And yes, it's an amusement park, but we've been to plenty parks that have decent food. My chicken sandwich was overcooked and the pizza was burnt (we skipped that because at least we could see it before purchasing). It didn't ruin our day and we had a ton of fun. But be prepared to drop a lot of money on pretty bad food - and don't buy the burgers if you don't like cheese, lettuce, tomato and pickles! read more

Took my family here on July 13, 2026 and dealt with some of the worse workers in my life. In particular we were walking by this game called Hang Time. Being a retired combat veteran I wanted to give it a try but before paying $10 I just wanted to feel the bar to see if it would be slippery. Immediately one employee in a very mean tone told me not to touch it. I explained what I was trying to do before paying to play and another employee told me to back away and not touch it. They were the rudest people I've met in a long time. Because of how rude they were I refused to play. I'm sure I'm not the first to deal with something like this but if they don't want to be in a customer service job then maybe don't work in customer service. read more

Visited the park July 11th with my 12 yr old son and family. After a few hours my son exited the park to see if I was in the car waiting. I was still insid. so he goes back to the gate to re enter but wasn't allowed back in. A 12 year old. they called me to the gate and told me I had to show a picture of him in the park the tickets I purchased wasn't enough proof. Horrible customer service guest services gate service. Be aware take a picture of yourself and family inside the park or lose out on $60 per person that exits. read more

It was TERRIBLE. This was my first time here. Me and my friend came to celebrate our birthdays (they are in August). We came on a Friday, August 7. I am disabled and first of all - this park IS NOT handicapped friendly. I asked to rent a scooter and was refused. I ending up collapsing from walking around the park looking for rides on a day where there was a HEAT ADVISORY. We walked for 1.5 hours until we found the cruise boat we went on. I asked TWO park employees for a paper map and they did not have any. You cannot understand the map on their website. I asked for a life vest when I wanted to go into the Tidal Pool/River and two employees would not give me one saying it was because I was an ADULT - even though I told them I am disabled and cannot swim. I will NEVER go here again. I paid $121 for two tickets and this day was ruined for me. I complained to an employee as we left early and she said no refunds. By the way, we stopped and got slices of pizza at two separate places and they were disgusting. Not warm at all and tasted gross. A bottle of water cost $5 read more

My son and I went to Canobie on June 25 (2 days after my birthday) and the 2nd time I went around the wave pool (my son went with me so he was near me) and I was sitting on the inner tube with my feet on the other side of the tube and I tipped (Ik I was going under) but I barely was able to take a breath first and I might have been in slight panic mode-which I explain to my younger son who was with me don't panic so your mind can be calm to get out of the situation but the way the tube tipped (I didn't see it at that moment) but it tipped so the handles were in the water but I went under (quickly) a 2nd time and I yelled help and thank God my dont went around with me bc it being a WAVE POOL it takes you under when you're in distress. My son helped pull me up and when before I got out I yelled to THREE LIFEGUARDS with NO REPLY. I got out pissed bc I WAS IN POSSIBLY CLEAR DISTRESS and nobody reacted or asked if I was ok. My son had a point that when I was up (above water), they wouldn't think someone was in distress (fair to suggest). I went to explain to a higher person (a few people heard my distress situation) and the lady literally said "that's normal-meaning to be in DISTRESS" and the lifeguards would have reacted....NONE OF THE MANY LIFEGUARDS NEVER REACTED OR LOOKED DOWN right after this happened to hear me yelling to each one of them. I explained to Guest Services explaining what happened and she kept apologizing (for the people they hired stupidity)!!!!! She said it would be forwarded to the Aquatic Team-I DONT KNOW THAT TO BE FACT. As many lifeguards they have-they need to look for signs of PEOPLE IN DISTRESS that could be splashing and playing. I was very emotional over what had happened AND NOTHING BEING CHANGED bc nobody near me never asked if I was ok (I'm not saying they needed to) bc they probably saw (maybe) my son being there but still nobody near me would have helped (if my son wasn't there to bring me up) bc they didn't know me and NO LIFEGUARDS would have looked or heard to see if someone was in distress. This is the SECOND INCIDENT that happened in their WAVE POOL, too-4 years ago I was all the way the tube I was using and a kid slipped from his dads hands and he kept going under bc he wasn't tall enough to be in their alone and I noticed him reaching out to me (this memory makes me cry still, too) so I grabbed his hands and held on tight. The LIFEGUARDS DO NOT PAY EAGLE EYE ON ALL SPLASHING, etc to know if someone is actually in distress. They need to go back to LIFEGUARD SCHOOL EVERY SINGLE ONE OF THEM WHO WERE THERE ESPECIALLY THE ASSHOLES CHICKS who blew it off. read more

I've always had fond memories of visiting Canobie as a kid, and in recent years I've enjoyed bringing my own family back--up until today. This visit was a disaster. The park was beyond overcrowded, with 1+ hour waits for every ride. It was clearly understaffed across rides and concessions, and the park itself was filthy--bathrooms unkept, grounds littered, and garbage bins overflowing, drawing swarms of yellow jackets. Frankly, it felt like a complete money grab. I paid $236 for what amounted to a miserable day. If you can't manage the crowds, cap daily ticket sales. Instead, it seems you're prioritizing revenue over guest experience. At this point, I feel cheated and wish there were a way to get my money back. read more

Canobie Lake Park is a flat out wonderful place and a must visit for any New England visitors! Canobie is a somewhat small, but legit amusement park with TONS of kiddie rides and adult rides alike. It has old world charm (as it's been around since 1902) and is very clean. I grew up in Salem, but moved away about 20 years ago, and finally got to revisit Canobie with my family this summer for the first time in over 20 years and it was a very special experience for everyone! I think folks in the area take Canobie for granted as it's just so charming and fun! Being regular Disneyland goers, I was shocked by the relatively small wait times. Yes - we went on a Monday - but a Monday smack in the middle of summer... and the lines were really great. The food options here are fast compared to most theme parks. Sure, it's not the culinary experience that Walt Disney World is... compared to Six flags, Disneyland and most other small theme parks, the food options are pretty amazing. The grounds are beautiful and the tradition here is really cool. We got to put our kids on some of the same kiddie rides my parents put me on and my grandparents put my parents on! If you're a roller coaster person, that's an area where the park is lacking. Where a park like Six Flags Magic Mountain is literally a park full of roller coasters, Canobie has two... the 89 year old Yankee Cannonball (which is SUPER fun) and a newer one that was built in 2011 that I heard was a ton of fun, but very short. The log ride is still amazing and might be my favorites. They have a nice mix of vintage old-school and newer thrill rides, but they are mostly of the skinny variety, which admittedly aren't my favorite. I LOVE going on the classic Mine of The Lost Souls... a dark ride that is super fun and janky! And what other park can you take a boat ride across a lake! Sure the old Canobie Queen has been replaced by a much smaller boat... but it was still tons of fun! The arcades are still a giant thing at Canobie as they are everywhere! I was a bit disappointed that many of the vintage arcade games that were still there in the 90s (they had machines from the 50s that still had zippos and other old prizes no-one had one in all that time in there!) were gone. It used to be an arcade museum. They have a new waterpark area that is included and looked like a lot of fun, but we didn't participate this time. The splash pads and lazy river all looked great, but there were only two slides which both had long lines, so I think if they brought it 3-5 more slides, this would really be a great water park too. The park oddly closed at 7pm, and we needed an extra couple hours to really get our fill. Also, the stores should stay open past close as we were ready to buy some stuff and they were all closed. Who wants to spend ride time shopping, so they should keep at least a couple open a half hour past close. Oh... and I should mention, they har FREE PARKING!!! What other amusement park has free parking these days? All in all... this is such a great, clean little park that really does have fun for the whole family. I think a lot of folks in the area might be jaded or just have unreasonable expectations for the park, because it was super fun. Can't wait to go back next time we visit! read more

I could not give this amusement park anything less than 5 stars in good conscience. Relative ease of entrance. Some traffic, but even on busy days nothing to fume about. Free parking. Opportunities to get a discounted entrance rate abound. If you're with someone hurt or handicapped you get a fast pass band to the front of every line. No need to buy any food or drinks in the park. Super loose policies on what you bring in. Get your hand stamped and come and go. Never a far walk in or out of the park. Lines are standard at the rides on busy days. People cleaning constantly. Bathrooms abound. Fireworks every weekend in the summer over the lake. Fun, fun, fun! Highest recommendation! read more

I have not been back to Canobie Lake Park in at least 15 years, somethings change and some don't. I can't believe they removed the yellow corkscrew rollercoaster. They still have Yankee Canonball wooden rollercoaster and starblaster and of course added a few new rides and expanded the water park. I love the sky ride and food options seems to be more. Just wanted to share our park experience. We returned to Screemfest this year for the first time in 8 years and were horribly disappointed. There were four adults in our group ranging from 24 to 56 yrs old. We were cut in line on every single attraction including rides and haunts. We were mostly cut by young teens but also by Mom's with their kids. Only one time out of the 7 or more times was there a staff person in the vicinity of the incidents. The park seemed grossly understaffed which allowed this to continue. We ended up leaving hours earlier than planned because of this. We all had great memories of this park and screemfest but sadly not anymore. read more

i was in the wave pool (with my son near me) and i was sitting on top and fell over and under (bc its a wave pool, it was moving me forward but still under water), thank god my son was near me to try to grab me (which he did but i still went under water twice). i yelled to the next three lifeguards.....no reaction i got out to complain, the lady i spoke to said "its normal" for that to happen??????? what. if the wave pool is still making me go under water....theres a problem and no lifeguards are hearing me call help....are you effing kidding. i then complained to the guest services and she kept apologizing....no, the lady who was actually at the effing wave pool should have cared but blue it off saying we will make sure they are paying attention. how do ik that will be true bc this is the 2nd effing under water incident. lifeguards do not pay the eff attention enough. they need to be more eagle eyed than what they all are bc second incident. i had to grab a little boys hands about 3 years ago when we went bc he slipped from his dad's grip....wtf wave pool employees and lifeguards suck. read more

This is a nice family amusement park, we've gone almost every summer since I've been little (about 25 years). Doesn't have a lot of coasters like Six Flags but also has more shade/trees and less obnoxious groups of people if you ask me. Has a nice kiddy land, log flume, wooden rollercoaster , sky ride and train. Has a small water area, but can definitely get crowded and isn't the best. Free parking tho! I recommend bringing and lunch and eating in the car, as food can be costly and not very healthy (as with most theme parks). read more

As prices climb at the destination theme parks, now at more than $100 even if you go for a week and average it out per day, close to $200 if you only go for ONE day. Of course Canobie isn't in the business of competing with the Florida megaparks, but the fact that we can hop on I-93 and be there in about a half hour from Boston if it's not rush hour, is a really good thing that hopefully families over the NH border are not overlooking. The first big props Canobie earns is the FREE PARKING. How rare is that these days? I think Six Flags hit $40, yes you read that right. Canobie could immediately make an easy $15k+ a day just on parking alone, but they choose not to, so you have to hand it to them. And with it not even that big, I don't think they run trams. From most spots in the lot, you'll be at the front gate within five minutes. Everyone has been ssssooo friendly at the gate. One of our visits, they asked us if we needed a free ticket which was being given away by a local business. So we ended up not needing to buy all adult tickets in our group that day! They don't offer a ton of discounts anymore, but still under $50 for certain days of the week is pretty fair overall. The food is decent, like a 6/10 overall....some items rock like almost everything from the Mexican stand, and others haven't been so good like the pizza. But again, the prices are very fair and go a long way to put up with some mediocre items. I'd be giving this an astounding five stars if the rides were better. Some were just not open when we went in the kid's section, others would go down for maintenance, and their coaster collection needs to be improved upon. Some of the rides look and feel old, that can be ok at times given the age of the park but there are others that look like they need to be replaced. Our family favorite is the double-decker carousel and the train ride along Canobie Lake. But still, after all of this.....I'm happy we have this easily within driving distance. It's not a place you go to spend the night and make a few days of it, but 6-8 hours for a day does the trick and really gets the amusement fix in. read more

Never again! Been going to Canobie Lake for 50 years but never made to feel uncomfortable by staff before last night. I was at front of Yankee Cannonball line and the young girls behind me asked if they could sit in the front cars. Of course I obliged and sat alone in the back car. Staff asked extremely politely if I could change seats. I asked if I was too fat to sit alone in back. Attendant said "oh no these two people really want to sit together." I didn't want to be rude so I got up. They sat me next to a horrified little girl. I apologized profusely to her and her pissed parents. You'lI probably be hearing from them too! I should have just exited the ride but shook it off and went back later. Attendant asked if there were any single riders and AGAIN tried to seat me next to young girls. That time I did just exit ride to avoid being perceived as a pedophile there to sit next to young girls. Doubt I'll be returning to Canobie Lake. I was ostracized and VERY embarrassed having that much attention drawn to me. Especially because in both cases I or someone else could have just waited. Hope that couple who "had to sit together" spend as much as I used to. I bought a season pass after learning your park was service animal friendly. I'm a 56 year old disabled man with brain tumor. It affects many things including social skills. It is extremely hard, awkward and now embarrassing going to an amusement park alone. I don't really have time to worry what others think of me. What kind of life would I have left if my pleasure depends on the approval of others? It takes a lot of will and positivity to do things alone but only takes a little negativity to ruin it. I've never had as much intentional negativity directed towards me as I did at your park where "It's always just for fun!" Yeah right NOT fun for me anymore! This was a special place that I was taken to on a Thursday afternoon. It was loaded with families, camps, and people just wanting to have a good time before summer is over. It was brought to my attention that days before was the 100th Anniversary of the park being opened (cool fact). I had a warm feeling about the place since my friend told me he spent 20 years of his life going to the park with his family. And how it was always the highlight of his summer growing up. I knew from that moment it was going to be a great memory for me and for all of the people visiting the park. I had a great time. The rides were cool. I was there today with my wife and two girls, on my drive in the car in front of me did something wrong? But when I pulled up and asked about the handicap spots I was screamed at by one of the employees??? He was pointing and said handicap spots are that way keep moving meanwhile my kids are like can we just go. I don't understand I have issues walking I have the handicap plates but couldn't park in front?? I will not be returning and my kids will not purchase season passes anymore!
