He was a down to earth guy who was trying his best given the circumstances. The teaching lesson took 2 hours because he had to keep going back and forth to check new people in, have forms signed, and check other people out. The other person called out leaving him to fend for himself. Christ remained calm and patient with all of us ensuring we don't injury ourselves. Only wish is that there were more courses we could use as we felt like they were either beginner or advanced options. Would come again to see Chris.

High tech single room challenges from physical to mental challenges, you and your teammates try to accomplish 1 to 3 star challenges without failing. If you fail, you exit the room and can try again. Each room does not take longer than average 4-5 minutes. They're always adding new rooms maybe around a half year basis, but it's always fun as a team or group event.

The facilities are also well-maintained since they are clean and properly managed. My biggest concern for this place, however, is the affordability of the memberships. I'm sure the up-keeping of the facility can be expensive, but the prices only attract a particular group of people. Perhaps this is intentional; I am always looking for places that seek to incorporate diversity, both economically and racially. Keeping up with the monthly membership price is surely not sustainable for someone who lives off minimum wage or, even for someone who makes a bit more. Thus, though this can be a fun and safe place for the community, it lacks the actual representation of the latter. Moreover, no incentive programs currently exist to make this place a bit more affordable for the average working-class family in the city. Now, while they do have a family plan, it is exclusively for immediate family. I tried to create a membership with my older brothers but, was told that the family membership was only for my spouse and children. of which I have neither. This is truly a disappointment since with the single membership, you can only bring a guest with you once a month; after that there is a fee. So, if you're someone like me, who likes to bring a friend along to help with climbing or to encourage you with working out, this isn't the place for you. Unless of course, you friend wants to purchase a membership, too. But again, it´s just not cost-efficient or worth it for the average low/medium income person. But, for those of you who make a good amount of money, this place can definitely be worth it. They offer a wide range of workout classes and opportunities to get better at rock climbing. You'll just want to make sure you're taking advantage of everything- to make the dollar count. Overall, I really enjoy rock climbing, and this facility is truly well-managed and maintained. It has a lot of potential to actively engage with the community it's in; however, whether intentional or not, it greatly lacks in being a racially and economically diverse space. This is truly unfortunate for a place as fun and engaging as this one can be. Frankly, it's intimidating when you can count, with one hand, the number of people of color during a typical night, or even to witness the non-existence of the lower/ lower-middle class. And if you're from Worcester, you know it's a large community they're keeping out, a community that is greatly diverse. This facility has the opportunity to bring people together, but unfortunately, the prices hinder this from doing so and have instead, settled for just one particular group. And oh! the prices just recently went up $5.00 for all memberships.

There is a video that they have you watch to get an understanding of the gym, and what sections are for what type of climb. The staff was also very nice in answering questions and making sure you are safe. For beginner climbers, you can climb on short rocks without gear and you can climb tall rocks with gear. There is a large section of the gym where you need a certificate to climb so those were off limits to me. Overall I spent about an hour and a half trying each climb. A very good spot to check out if you are a beginner or just need an open space to climb.

The basket ball courts are fantastic and always look brand new and when you look up, there is one of the nicest indoor tracks around. There are tons of classes to sign up for, super friendly staff members, and every thing you could want from a gym. Great locker room. Free lock and towells to borrow. state of the art water fountains to fill up a bottle and vending machines if you don't want to leave for a snack. Be warned, its not just students and the older crowds don't like to wear towels in locker rooms. Keep your head up when you walk in. Free for students. Parking available with permit. If you forget your UCard, you get in 2 times a semester (I think, don't quote me on that) with just your ID number. Much better than a $10 gym at home. If you commute, go here before you go home and save the expense.

I understand this is cheaper than having to maintain the large inventory of holds required for colored routes but it is very confusing. 2. The crash pads/mats in the bouldering area can be significantly improved. In some cases they hide the lower footholds from routes, they are not flat and in some regions near where they meet the wall they are quite dirty. 3. The V rating in this gym makes little sense. There are some supposedly hard routes that are very easy and some supposedly trivial routes that should have been more highly rated. However, it was still fun to climb and the lady in the cashier was helpful. Though I would suggest explaining to new comers that there is a lower price for bouldering only day pass. Would also suggest making hand lotion available (moisturizer).

There are yoga classes twice a week which is included in a membership though I have yet to try a class. Otherwise, it's a fairly standard climbing gym with interesting climbs, especially for beginner and intermediate climbers. They have a room full of bike racks as soon as you walk in which is nice, as someone who bikes to the gym. The facility is pretty large with a lounging area, training areas, plenty of storage space, and clean bathrooms. You do have to bring your own chalk (or rent gear which comes with chalk), and the chalk that is for sale in the store is not that great in my opinion and doesn't fully coat the fingers.

If Planet Fitness can get it done for 9.99 a month, HH can for over a hundred!!! The other, is that the class times don't make too much sense to me. I understand why some of the classes more dedicated to seniors are midday, and I know there are some wealthy towns nearby where people may not have to work- but how about classes at a normal time of morning or evening? Not 5:00 am, but how about at 6:30-7:30? And then more classes that people who work 9-5 (or whose spouses do, in my case) can make? On the left side of the street, there's a wading pool that's clean and well maintained. Just yards/meters away from that is a good playground - slides, swings and a climbing structure. It's fairly shaded, too (the pool area isn't). Just yards away in the other direction is a bathroom building. This is a real bathroom with real running water,not portapotties, has a male and a female section. The rest is a huge open area surrounded on its edges by lots of picnic tables and bbq pits. On the right side of the street, there is an open-air stage. They do Shakespeare in the park and many other events that are all free. They show movies on Friday nights at sundown during the summer. Just prior to the movie, they have some or other kids' entertainer. Beyond that, there are tennis courts and a baseball diamond. This is a place to take the kids.
