Some of us wanted to do the smaller rides, (the dragon (a kiddie ride) coaster, wave blaster, over the rainbow, and more!) and others wanted to do the big ones (untamed, yankee cannonball, Boston tea Party), and everyone appreciated and was happy with the rides that they did! For lunch, we went to the Sons of Liberty tavern, which is just across from Boston Tea party, the big flume ride. (Don't worry though, it's just out of the splash zone!) It was a little pricey, but everyone loved their food. For snacks around the park, you've got a lot of options. We got a bag of popcorn, Italian ice, and strawberry dole whip! (since they were unfortunately out of pineapple) Line-whise, the longest one we waited in was for Yankee Cannonball, which was around a 45 minute line. (The ride was awesome and worth it, though.) So, overall, we have had great experiences with Canobie Lake Park!! Its as egregious as Hyatt Regency lost pines having 405 acres of land and nature trails and then charging for parking (and a lot of times the lots are full and you have to circle for parking!) The resort itself is located outside Fitchburg, fairly convenient hour drive from Boston and a decent amount of stuff to do (some museums, farms, etc.). Also good amount of dining options in case you dont want to eat at the lodge (texas roadhouse family meals are the GOAT). The resort is huge as you would expect, though not apparent from the lobby. Self check in systems work well, if a bit slow. Another issue here - you dont know when your room will be ready, and you cant bring your luggage in while waiting. They dont have anywhere to store luggage (which seems absolutely crazy for a hotel). At least the staff will try to work with you but if rooms arent ready then you're out of luck. The rooms we got were overlooking the lobby. They were clean, and moderately appointed with sitting areas and tables for most normal families. However, another issue here is the lobby hosts many events throughout the night and day and you can hear everything in the room. Good luck trying to have a kid nap. Waterpark was enjoyable, slides are fun and highly recommended. Magicquest surprisingly fun for kids and also worth the money, especially if you can borrow a friend's wand. Also a whole section of ropes course, other games, VR, etc. Would probably come back on a special deal again, but definitely room for improvement.
