Then after that they terminated my lease and gave me 24 hrs to get my still out, mind you this is two very large units, I told them I had to work the following day and could not retrieve my stuff until the following day well they decided that was too long and helped themselves to my belongings and cleaned out one unit and were cherry picking my other one. I owed them nothing and even paid them for and additional trumped up charge of $350. I paid it and they still stole about $10,000 worth of my tools. True story. The police said * had to take them to court. So I would do Business elsewhere unless you want to risk them stealing your belongings. 8 years, 2 units over $30,000 in storage fees and they just took my stuff. The site manager told me it was going to auction..... For what? I owed nothing. Thieves is what they are.

This leaves spaces open between units which eases rodent migration. As of the fall of 2023, Great Western Storage in Canon City has a significant rodent issue, and transparent communication regarding this event did not occur. The value add of this partnership is a nice-looking facility; however, there needed to be an attempt to make this right. They went through the steps of getting a professional exterminator, but this did not remedy the damage 10-15 mice did to property in at least one unit. Through 30 days' notice, which is required in their contract, they didn't respond which is a response, and there was no attempt to discount or even apologize. Customer service here was poor regarding this issue. I would not recommend storing your things here, they lack transparency in their communication and make no attempt to do the right thing.

So if you got 2 trailer parking spots and 1 storage unit in the same appointment - it would be $75. Also, they have appointments to get setup which isnt unusual but there are also storage units where you can do everything online or phone/email. Every 6 months, you have to sign an electronic document to say you have insurance. The link never works so you have to email the manager and have her input your info. If not they auto charge you for insurance, even if the manager messes up and doesn't get it submitted. Then they will raise your monthly rental fee at random. The gate code never works. Also at random the gate wont open because its locked before the time its supposed to be closed for the night. Don't waste your time or money here. Classic Movers accross the road is so much less stressful and simple for trailer parking. North Side Self Storage is awesome for locked storage.
