As of the fall of 2023, Great Western Storage in Canon City has a significant rodent issue, and transparent communication regarding this event did not occur. The value add of this partnership is a nice-looking facility; however, there needed to be an attempt to make this right. They went through the steps of getting a professional exterminator, but this did not remedy the damage 10-15 mice did to property in at least one unit. Through 30 days' notice, which is required in their contract, they didn't respond which is a response, and there was no attempt to discount or even apologize. Customer service here was poor regarding this issue. I would not recommend storing your things here, they lack transparency in their communication and make no attempt to do the right thing.

Also, they have appointments to get setup which isnt unusual but there are also storage units where you can do everything online or phone/email. Every 6 months, you have to sign an electronic document to say you have insurance. The link never works so you have to email the manager and have her input your info. If not they auto charge you for insurance, even if the manager messes up and doesn't get it submitted. Then they will raise your monthly rental fee at random. The gate code never works. Also at random the gate wont open because its locked before the time its supposed to be closed for the night. Don't waste your time or money here. Classic Movers accross the road is so much less stressful and simple for trailer parking. North Side Self Storage is awesome for locked storage.
