We are forever grateful for Jo and Jenna's thoughtful and enthusiastic care and support. Every visit, phone call, text, etc was always particular and intimate to our own story while being backed by informed, professional advice and conversation. From billing support to postpartum visits in their new gorgeous office, Nettle made this process easy in a medical landscape that can often be so opaque and overwhelming. As a sporadic doula, I'm lucky enough to have been present at several births and they offer a level of care that I didn't know existed. We were fortunate to have an incredible home birth in our barely one bedroom apartment and throughout felt supported but empowered, nurtured but independent. From the first meeting we knew it was the only way, and they were there for us every step. Both pre and post natal care (not to mention labor and birth support) were approached with attentiveness, warmth, and joyful tenderness. I've carried their philosophy with me into parenthood and find myself asking WW(Jo/Jenna)D for decisions beyond the health of our baby girl and myself. Their sage advice and general outlook on all things birthing and beyond offer a lovely bedrock for this new phase. Briefly, we cannot recommend them highly enough. We love you Jo and Jenna and the whole Nettle crew!

If I could leave a 0-star review I would. I applied to be a birth doula with this service. I…read morereceived repeated requests to fill out the same video interviews. I should have stopped the process then but alas I persisted in hope this would work out. Then I I have to go through repeated rescheduled onboarding interviews with Jada because she kept having "schedule conflicts" and no respect for my time. When we met it was awkward and the discussion mostly focused on other doulas who don't want to meet with their client until they are way into active labor and then Boober worries about refunds. I do not operate in a way that would entail these risks happening. I spent a lot of time on the application and intake process for boober yet I continued to get leads for potential clients way outside of my geographic area of service. I got clients that were not serious about hiring a doula or I was one of many doulas who would meet with clients. I responded to some potential leads and sometimes wasn't followed up with, other times was matched with clients along with several other doulas or I was sent redundant messages about client requirements which I had already met. As a newer doula (with about a year of experience) I felt I couldn't compete with being matched with clients who were also introduced to several other doulas. I invested a lot of time and effort into my Boober application and profile and saw NO returns for it. I would get no responses, clients would hire other doulas or no doulas or no one from boober would follow up with me for the leads I was actually interested in. At some point I can no longer tolerate such disrespect for my time. While I believe in providing strong customer service our time as birth workers and service providers also needs to be respected and it's just not at Boober. I'm sorry I every signed up for the service. Also there are different commission structures based on race which I'm pretty sure is illegal. I'm all for birth equity but I'm not looking to be disrespected over and over again.

About a month ago I went to Balance Choice Care as they state they provide gyno services. I went…read morespecifically about something I had a concern about and saw Martha. I saw Martha (who btw is the FOUNDER and CEO). Upon further research she is only a Physician Assistant-Certified. She has NO business seeing patients solo for anything beyond a common cold. A PA-C should be operating in tandem with an actual physician. Per NYS law "New York State, it is illegal for a Physician Assistant (PA-C) to practice medicine independently, meaning they must always be under the supervision of a physician." The visit was very quick, I thought she was a Dr but apparently there was no doctor present for my visit- she took about a minute to examine the area of my concern. She advised that it was a skin tag and I should just go on to amazon and buy a product that would help me "steam it off." I left happy knowing it was nothing serious. Later in the day upon more reflection and internet research I realized something didn't add up. You can't steam off a skin tag anywhere on your body. Steam would only help with a pimple or ingrown hair. I gave this issue more time to see if it resolved itself. It did not. I went to get a second opinion. Long story short the actual Dr I went to (not NP, not medical assistant, etc) quickly said it absolutely does not look like a skin tag. She was quick to say I should come back immediately as it needs to be biopsied. This is something that could be cancerous, this is something that could be transmittable, etc. At no point did Martha even suggest to do a culture or swab. In the one minute she looked at it she quickly dismissed it. I am waiting my results from the second opinion doctor. That said if I had not used common sense and sought out a proper doctor who cared I could have really potentially been risking my health and even life if it is something more serious. Lastly, I was not going to leave a negative review for this clinic. On 3/14 I called the office and explained the situation to the receptionist. She said she'd "pass along the message" but she didn't seem to understand the serious nature of tis so I requested Martha call me. Martha did call me back and THAT is why I am leaving this review. If she simply voiced any care regarding this matter or even a slight apology it would have been a non issue. She was so indignant, nasty and careless it was unbelievable. Her attitude and clearly care she provides is reckless. Her response to me was "that is too bad." A place like this that is going to provide medical services for serious needs to be educated on the topic and have the proper certification. On their website and even here on yelp it says "gynecologist and obstetrics" however when you look at their IG page or even look at "Marthalewissandari" IG it's all ads for med spa services. They should not be providing gyno services, this is completely misleading. If they keep up such poor business practices they'll end up really hurting someone and getting sued.

They refused to see me again even though I was high risk and could not get into the other office for over 3 weeks. I continued to call them and they kept just telling me to call the other office. Once I finally got the appointment o the other office, I found out I had a missed miscarriage. ODA refused to tell me what type of twins it was, even though when I looked on my mychart-- they knew they day of their first scan. My doctor Yulia Mogiliansky did not properly inform me of how HIGH RISK I was. In fact she downplayed the risks quite a bit. They had the exact type of tiwns on my chart and through my own research after this happened, I found out I had a 10% chance of miscarrying which Dr. Mogilanksy did not inform of at all. Instead they pawned me off on another clinic. On the day I found out about the missed miscarriage they informed me I had a hematoma that ODA had never mentioned. My only visits with OBGYN were less than 5 minutes. Once I miscarried that clinic had me come back to ODA. ON the worst day of MY LIFE after I miscarried TWINS, ODA did not even have the common courtesy to review my records before I came in , even though I spoke with them on the phone 2x before coming in. I had to explain the miscarriage to 2 different nurses and the doctor since they could not even be bothered to review my chart. MY OBGYN (Dr. Yulia Mogilianksy) that I saw previously did not even bother to come in even though I could see she was sitting at her desk. The doctor that I did see Scott Postell was extremly insensistive and rude. he did not do a follow up scan (the next place i went said that was standard to do), they could not provide me with D and C, and they spent less than 2 minutes with me. They treated me like I was an idiot for even coming in. Dr. Scott Postell told me I could not take the abortion pill bc it was too late, even though he did not examine me at all or even review my chart or look at the scans from earlier that day. Once I got a scan at another clinic they told me I could be prescribed that medication bc they were able to see the size was small enough bc the other clinic actually did their due diligence to do a scan. BC of this I was made to suffer with knowledge of my miscarriage for DAYS longer than I needed to . Dr. Scott Postel basically asked me why I even bothered to come in on the day I miscarried twins. They also did not help me set up another appointment with a doctor that could do a D and C. He simply handed me a phone number to clinic that had just referred me back to them. ODA knew that I needed a D and C and that they would not prescribe me the pill, but STILL made me come into the office. I was also told on the day of my missed miscarriage that I had a hematoma, that ODA never informed me of. The doctors acted confused as to why I came in that day even though they booked the appointment. They did not even want to help me book the D and C with another office but just handed me a phone number 2 hours after I miscarried. I will never go back to this office. They made the worst day of my life even worse. Do not go here they do not care and if they can't even provide a standard service like a D and C then they are a useless office.

When I approached the pretty homely building I realized that his office entrance was not the main entrance. His entrance was on the side door and no sign to indicate where I was going. I was finally let in and there was no sign indicating whether to go up or down stairs. I went down stairs and was able to go and sign in. the basement aka the doctors office was cut out of an 80's picture, with brown walls and uneven floors and a portable AC that was extremely dirty. Me being an idiot I was just telling myself don't judge a book by its cover so I continued. I waited and was seen by this doctor. I gave him personal info and he asked why I was there. I told him to get checked and also to see why I am not coming out pregnant. He immediately said ," I only speak the truth and if you want someone sensitive the door is right there. But I can tell your not coming out pregnant because you are too fat. you need to only drink water and eat salads lose weight and then maybe you will be able to. Do you have insurance? can y ou pay cash, there are test I need to run and a lot of insurances don't cover them all can you afford this?" All in one shot. Not sensitive at all, he later asked me if I remember my first sexual partner I told him yes my ex-husband, and he responded...you don't have to lie, Aare you sure he was your first. I was so emotionally out of it that I didn't even have a comeback for this jerk. Afterwards he did my papsmear and cut me so bad that I spotted the next 2 days. He was very insensitive, unprofessional, arg! So many words to say about him - all negative! He even had signs in his office asking Please ask us about "liposuction, breast augmentation, want to be a virgin again ask us we can help!" So turned off never going to this guy again ...HOW is he even a freaking Doctor?!!!!!!!!!

I was referred here by another doctor. My first visit should have been a red flag. The woman in the front was so rude and unprofessional. Now let me just say I have NEVER done a negative review. I come from customer service I understand completely that things can get crazy and not everyone is easy to deal with. But I was not rude, I never complained, even when it took them forever to see me and even when they didn't show me where to go after they called me so I was left in the middle of the hallway confused as to where to go while the staff was chitchatting away with each other. When the Nurse Practitioner finally saw me I felt a little better. She was really sweet and answered all my questions. Then I had to go to the front lady again to set up an appointment for Saturday. So I go today, Saturday, for my first Sonogram. The appointment is at 10. I get there 9:30. OB/GYN staff not there. So the other girl tells me they probably get in at 10. Fine whatever I don't mind waiting I just want to see the doctor and make sure everything is ok. The other girl is nice enough to text the woman and ask if anyone is on their way. Turns out the doctor who SHE set up an appointment for me to see does not work on Saturdays. I never got a call to reschedule, or to tell me it was canceled. Now as a first time mom to be this isn't something we want to deal with. Im worried and scared and want to make sure everything is ok with the baby so when something like this happens its not ok. I never got to see the doctor so I cannot say anything negative about him. But the lady in the front desk. . Horrible.
