Service is sketchy. The first time I went to Cans Plus when it first opened its doors, a homeless man stole my I phone from my unlocked car, and I could see it roaming around on "find my I Phone" and had to call the police. They found him peddling around on a bicycle. LOCK YOUR CAR WHEN YOU ARE AT CANS PLUS. Then several other things happened through the years. I noticed a pattern. The men who work there can be irrational, and authoritarian during heavy traffic times right after a major holiday, and the owner backs them up even when they are wrong giving confiicting impossible and dangerous traffic parking directions that can cause an accident. The owner blamed myself, the customer, by saying "I know you, you complain too much through the years, always a problem" and , " I can make any rule I want because it is my place." This response was after I went straight to him to complain about the men's directives that conflicted with each other, that were irrational, draconian, and dangerous. The First man with an Irish brogue wanted me to go into a space THAT I didn't even know was a parking space. that didn't give me any room to enter properly without moving tall plastic cluster of cones THAT WERE IN THE WAY. After three unsuccessful attempts, I decided to get out of the car to temporarily move the random cluster of tower cones since nobody else was helping, because otherwise, I would have hit the car next to it. It was a very tight and impossible turn! Then the big tall older man with the Spanish accent shouted in a very unfriendly authoritarian way. NO MOVING THE CONES. Why I asked? I can't get in otherwise! GO AROUND! he shouted from across the lot. It was impossible because the white caged flatbed was in the way! Where he wanted me to drive, and the pass thru was way too narrow to go through with that flatbed blocking the way on the right and the people on the left with their can bins. I am an excellent driver and drive Ortega Hwy daily and know the limitations of space. What this second man wanted me to do was impossible. so I thought I could back into that "designated " space closest to me instead, because the second worker wouldn't allow me move the cones Then this same man shouted IN A VERY MEAN AUTHORITARIAN WAY, NO BACKING IN. "Why?" I asked. BECAUSE I SAID SO, AND THESE ARE THE RULES, was his answer. Three "NO's and zero help. And since I went to the owner after that to explain this problem. and my very small car was not in anyone's way in that "impossible to get into parking space", he did not give me an explanation for the impossible directives by two of his Worker's that were extremely mean, and said I was a problem, so, I WILL BE TAKING MY BUSINESS SOMEWHERE ELSE. The owner makes no money off of me because I count my plastic bottles to 50. I lost $7.00 the last time I went because they give me way less if it is by the pound, and my state deposit upon purchase is never recouped that way. That is the only reason why I believe they are mean to me, or maybe they are mean because they think they can be. The owner allows it. LIFE IS TOO SHORT TO BE TREATED POORLY. The workers there are very rude there. They be doing some shady things and grimy things to me. One time the worker Jaiver made up a lied about me to his short white guy with glasses about me putting carts where the tree and ditch is at entering the street. Yeah I was falsely accused of putting a shopping cart where the ditch is at and where that concrete tunnel is at in front of the storage place that Cans Plus place doesn't have any integrity. Yeah I don't have a car but you don't treat someone like they are homeless just because they don't drive a car plus that guy Jaiver has yelled at me multiple time and called me stupid. I feel very uncomfortable there with the Chinese a******* I think is the owner yelling at me and treaty me like a child please I have been recycling here for years. They should have alot of respect for me seriously that isn't right. anyways everyone there is rude as f*** every single person there is rude. I completely agree with all the one stars reviews Very rude employees. I was really shocked how I was treated today. ! . Use to be a fun place to go; but today was a reminder to never step foot in this place again! . Horrible workers ! . Miss the old workers. ~. This week one of the workers who was paisa wore a straw hat and glasses falsely accusing me of bringing carts from the shopping center. He made up a lie about someone who has been coming here for years. I knew this guy had beeb mistreating me for years now im getting to the point that this isn't cool. Paisa guy who works there needs to go I don't appreciate being falsely accuse of bring carts.
