Visual Arts, 2 Galleries, each gallery has a new show every month. They've got musical concerts of all genres. Additionally, they have their staple events such as Cabaret @the Whit, Opera Notte @the Whit, Classical Music Series @the Whit, live Comedy @the Whit, Theatrical performances, etc. They also have a wonderful discussion series: Talking Books @the Whit and Talking Arts @the Whit. Depending upon the performance, such as Cabaret, which is set up in a "Bistro" Setting, where you can order delicious light apps and beer and wine at a very reasonable prices. The Whit, also host First Fridays Artswalks' Afterparty; and now they will be hosting the official Afterparty of the Third Thursdays of PIttsfield. I discovered this only…read morebecause it took days to get a confirmation of my purchase (though amount was charged to my account immediately.) I was scouring the website to find out if I really had reservations and accidently discovered that the discount was offered. When I called the box office I was told the discount is not available on line, but is available to those who phone for tickets, or get them at the box office. I could not take advantage of the poorly advertised discount because I had already purchased the tickets. Don't purchase tickets on line before you see what discounts are available.
