We have repeatedly requested for him to come make repairs for at least 18 mos now. We paid Jacob Coleman (I'm sure we overpaid) $5200 bc we expected top of the line plumbing and service and he claims to guarantee his work for 5 years. In our 1/2 bath, the toilet is 5" inches away from the back wall. The toilet in our main bath is not vented and the drain passes our shower. And now our cold water pressure has severely dropped to find that our pipes are clogged with rough sawdust from him cutting unnecessarily into our joists. We have contacted him many times (at least 10) for him occasionally reply and give us a day/time that he will come, but he never shows and doesn't communicate that he's not coming either. $5K half wasted and we don't have anymore money to pay someone else to fix it.

This time it was the water tank. Well, it kinda went crazy and popped a fit with a pipe bursting spewing water all over my garage. I had no idea for at least two hours only to discover the only things missing from me were my towel and my sauna pillow. I have to give Nick all the credit for this project. He not only fixed the problem but also he transformed the issue into a wonderful solution. Nick was extremely professional, kind and considerate. Do NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY!!!…read more They did not pull a permit, did not follow code and because of that almost caused our house to catch on fire and leaked carbon monoxide into our home. I originally was going to let them fix the problems, but then I decided not to have them back in my home due to safety reasons. Their unqualified worker cut a live wire to my recessed lighting in my basement and then took that live wire uncapped and tucked it up into the ceiling without telling me then he installed the hot water heater improperly. I did not know any of this until my kids told me that the lights in the basement were not working so I thought that was really odd. I called my electrician and he came over and he almost got electrocuted because of what this guy had done and my electrician told me something is not right about this and you need to get their work checked out. He said I was so lucky my house did not catch on fire. I then told him the name of the company and he says oh no they have a really bad reputation. Shame on me for not checking reviews and I trusted someone that referred them. I then called my home inspector and had him come out and take a look at all of the work that was done, and we found some pretty major code violations and safety violations that could've been deadly. Because there was evidence that the wire he cut caught on fire. I actually have a picture of it where you can see it clearly caught on fire when he cut it. Other issues also because of the way that the hot water heater was installed I had carbon monoxide going into my home and my home inspector told me to shut it down immediately he was surprised we were still alive because my HVAC is in that same closet which feeds my main level. I then called the county inspector and had them come over and check all of the work so I have very qualified, third-party reports of all of the wrongdoing that this company did and the risk that it caused on my family. I had to pay a lot of money to have all of these things fixed. They also cut a hole in my brick of my house and didn't tell me and left it completely exposed and open to the elements and to animals that could've gotten in inside my basement walls. They also did not cap the pipe properly that is venting my sump pump that they installed. I did all of my homework and have it all documented. According to these other reviews, that's her protocol is to just ignore once I saw other people posting reviews on here of this company doing very dangerous things. So, I felt it was my duty to make a change. Julie guy is the owner and runs the business under her other peoples names from what my attorney is finding. When I pull her son Albert Guy who is doing work for her he is not a licensed plumber as of June 2025. They did the work on my home in 2024. BUYER BEWARE!

TLDR: I would not hire this company. Not only am I very disappointed with the diagnosis process and…read morethe repair that did not address the issue that I called them for but also with the failure of their management to address my concerns. I called Plumbing Express to investigate and resolve a water leak in my kitchen ceiling. The leak was directly below my master bathroom toilet, which my sister and I had already narrowed down by tapping on the kitchen ceiling downstairs while listening upstairs, where the sound was clearly strongest near the master bathroom toilet. The technician briefly inspected both bathrooms but focused on my sister's bathroom on the opposite side of the house after noticing a damp sponge under the toilet tank. My sister explained the sponge was there because she sprays and cleans the toilet regularly, not because of a leak. The plumber then cut open the kitchen ceiling drywall, stated the leak was coming from the water supply line from my sister's toilet, and performed a complete toilet tank rebuild for $450. After the repair, he gave me a card for a company that performs restorations and recommended I call them to inspect for subfloor damage. When that restoration company arrived, they immediately stated there was no way the ceiling leak could have originated from the secondary bathroom because of the location and no evidence of water stains. They recommended another plumber and a leak detection company come out to find the leak before they performed any work. I contacted a second plumber, who agreed the leak was much more likely connected to the master bathroom toilet directly above the leak area. Finally, I hired a leak detection company, and they also confirmed the leak aligned with the master bathroom location, not the secondary bathroom Plumbing Express repaired. At this point, three separate professionals have stated the leak could not have originated from the bathroom Plumbing Express serviced. I paid $450 for a repair that did not address the actual problem I originally called about. In Response to Ty G: Your response is totally incorrect. I would not have called the second plumber and the leak detection company if your recommended restoration company had not told me that the leak was not identified. The pictures taken are of the secondary bathroom not the master as we discussed in our phone call. It is totally "disingenuous" for you to now state that the master toilet was the issue. This validates everything I thought about your company. Others beware!

The type of toilet that we have (American Standard Cadet series), while beautiful, is a terrible design and would require pulling the toilet if the water supply hose needs to be disconnected. Fortunately he had the replacement parts available to rebuild the valve system with the toilet remaining in place. Hooray, it no longer runs continually and flushes properly. We couldn't be happier.
