Perfect restaurant to grab some good food before heading into the Grand Canyon west rim/skywalk. We ordered their breakfast menu and it was delicious. Our waitress (Lori) was so sweet and amazing. She made sure we were taken care of and kept offering more coffee. Yes please! I would definitely come back!!

Between Vegas and the Grand Canyon West, there aren't many options, so this place was clutch! We were the only people here during the visit, so food came out fast. It's pretty decent tbh; your run of the mill American food(eg mozz sticks, burger, tenders). Honestly, if you or your kids can wait until the tour is over, I'd eat here before eating at the Grand Canyon West. Oh and despite being in a small town, the prices are still touristy . I ain't mad, get that money!

Can you see whats underneath all that gravy?

When this was the only option to eat at on the way to the Canyon I didnt have high hope. We were literally in the middle of no where in the desert. The menu was simple and the people here seem to be all locals. Service was ok as there was only one waitress. Bf got the biscuit and gravy with hashbrown - the plate came LOADED with white gravy practically spilling over the plate. The food was drowning in gravy and you have no idea what you're poking at. It was a bit much and wish they ONLY put it on the biscuit and not the entire plate. As far as taste wise, it was decent. I got 2 eggs/sausage/bacon and pancake - weirdly the eggs and meats were on top of my pancake. Usually pancake come on its own separate plate. I was a bit lazy to ask for another plate and try to move my food around and the lady didn't really pay attention to us I just kind of went for it. Well, it's not something I would recommend since my sunny side egg yolk does not taste right seeped into the pancake. Coffee - since it was early in the morning and there was no coffee shop around the coffee was really good. Overall the food was medicore. It's not terrible. They do have a sign that says "we dont serve fast food. We serve great food as fast as we can" I find that funny as that is true.

Stopped here after visiting the west rim as we were starving and OMG! We ordered the cheeseburgers and they were so good! Very juicy and fresh! Our waitress was very nice and we enjoyed our lunch.

Stopped here for a quick lunch after the skywalk on our way to Las Vegas. Nothing spectacular but friendly home cooking. Great prices. Bacon very crispy on my club sandwich. Fries cooked well. Both salads very fresh. Best in the area . Don't miss it.

Oops! Was so good we dug in before I remembered to take a photo!

But if you do wander that way, stop into the Davis Ranch Club for a cold drink and some chow. I visited the place in June 2011, shortly after it opened. It doesn't abut the main drag in Dolan Springs directly - it's set back a few hundred feet from the road. Ample parking! (I kid.) It doesn't look like much. I was wary of stopping in at first. It looked like one of those dive bars you'd see in old motorcycle gang movies where everyone would give the out-of-towner the evil eye and break a few pool cues over his back. Of course, you can't judge a book by its cover. The place is essentially a small room. The air is dank and still, but still about twelve trillion degrees cooler than the hot Arizona desert. The menu is extensive (and I mean *extensive*). You can feel the hometown atmosphere by perusing its pages - multiple, non-uniform pages very obviously printed out on a home computer running Microsoft Works 1998. (That's not a knock on the place - just part of what made it so memorable for me.) When I went there, there was only one other occupied table at lunchtime. At it sat two men with very obvious Native American roots and two young girls. They were adorable and seemed to like the place. We only saw one employee, though there may have been another cook in the back. She was a youngish woman with really cool tattoos. Very personable. As I sat and ate, some other folks (regulars?) came in. She knew all their names and greeted them with a smile. She was especially good with the little girls sitting on the other side of the room. I didn't ask, but I think she (or her family) might own the place. The food was pretty good: I had a snakebite burger and it was spicy and delicious. Others in my party had chicken sandwiches and burgers and we all left full and happy. The prices are very low, too. (But after spending a few days up the road in Las Vegas, most anything magically becomes cheap.) My only complaint against the place was that at the time I went there, they didn't yet have their license to serve beer. May have changed by now, though. One last comment: I didn't order any, but if you get a chance you should check out their selection of pie. I'm sure it's all prefabricated stuff, but the amount of different types that were available really blew me away. The Waldorf Astoria it is not. But if you're holding out for a McDonald's on the way to the Canyon, don't hold your breath. Pull into this place, meet some nice, down-to-earth people, and get out of the sun for a spell.

Great food, Friendly service [Chloride AZ]…read more It was around 11:30a when we walked inside to grab a bite to eat... actually, it was already 12:30p (AZ is ahead by an hour from NV) well, it's no wonder my tummy is saying "feed me." Located in the historic town of Chloride AZ we walked inside a building that took us back in time, an authentic 1860's era Old West structure with a full bar onsite. Originally it used to be a stagecoach repair shop where stagecoaches can stop by for a quick repair but it has been renovated since while keeping the old charm and character. Loved the historic atmosphere. There were a few items we wanted to try but ended up ordering Fish & Chips and Grilled Cheese. The homemade fries tasted nice and crunchy. Since I ate most of the fries I was only able to eat one fish filet. Luckily, nothing is wasted... hubby was there to rescue the other two filets and the hush puppies too LoL! The filets were a good size, generous portion. I had a scoop of the chocolate chip ice cream. Great friendly customer service. Food is reasonably priced. Glad we stopped by. Review #3691
