    Homemade fruit cobbler
    Dawn G.

We had an amazing dinner at the Kingman Chophouse from the moment we walked in. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and every staff member we interacted with was incredibly friendly. Our server, Allison, was outstanding--attentive, knowledgeable, and made us feel right at home. The food was absolutely delicious, from start to finish. Every dish was perfectly cooked and full of flavor. We finished the meal with their homemade cobbler, and it was the perfect sweet ending. Highly recommend this place for a perfect date night--you won't be disappointed! The pictures of the steak and salad are only half, we split our meal and they split everything up for us and we still had too much to eat!

65+ menu: 8 ounce sirloin and steak fries

Excellent food! Good service, welcomed at the door, we were seated and drinks came quickly before we met our server. Ordered sweet tea, it does not taste house made, it tastes like Lipton lemon tea, swapped it for regular tea. No kids menu, my son ordered of the 65+ menu, the 8 oz sirloin and steak fries. I ordered a 7 oz bacon wrapped filet with melted blue cheese crumbles, a side of mac and cheese, and not pictured, their French onion soup. The food was so good. My son and I were very impressed, both of our steaks were cooked perfectly, the food was excellent. I don't think I'd order the mac and cheese again, but everything else was above and beyond.

This seems to be the best restaurant at least on this side of town. Good pastas, burgers, and of course steaks, but also salmon, salads, soup. Full menu with lots of sides. Some a bit over done or heavy handed but good. Carmen was very helpful.

Had dinner at Kingman Chophouse in early June and again on August 26th. Both times I ordered the Fried Shrimp Dinner with loaded baked potato and salad. Everything was delicious and I had no complaints about the service or quality of the food. Will definitely be returning again!

The place has character. Great Western/Route 66 atmosphere, people hanging out and having fun, a lively bar, hardworking staff, and really good food. And whoever is responsible for the asparagus deserves some recognition. Seriously. I don't know what they're doing to asparagus back there, but it may be the best asparagus I've ever had. Everything about the evening was heading toward five stars. Then, at approximately 9:24 p.m., manager Scott Dittmer came in and called last call. On a Sunday. When the posted closing time is 10:00 p.m. There were still plenty of customers in the restaurant enjoying themselves and ordering. By around 9:30, people trying to order additional items were being told they couldn't. Meanwhile, the staff was still working hard taking care of everyone. It was strange watching a genuinely fun atmosphere get intentionally shut down roughly half an hour before closing. So here's my review in a nutshell: FOOD: ASPARAGUS: (yes, six) STAFF: ATMOSPHERE: ENDING THE NIGHT 30+ MINUTES EARLY: The Dambar itself deserves the recommendation my hotel gave it. I'd absolutely eat here again and would recommend it to anyone passing through Kingman. But Scott -- don't be a Scott Downer. If your customers are having fun, your employees are taking care of them, and your posted closing time is 10:00, let the Dambar be the damn bar until 10:00.

Nothing overly fancy, but comfortable and inviting. The bread was fine--good enough, though not something I'd make a special trip for. They didn't have the wine I originally wanted, but their staff quickly recommended a comparable alternative. Their wine selection is actually quite respectable. Our server was outstanding. Attentive without being intrusive, friendly, and genuinely interested in making sure we had a good experience. My one notable complaint has nothing to do with the food. We were seated near the kitchen, which normally wouldn't bother me at all. However, one of the hostesses wore a very strong perfume. Every few minutes the scent would drift by and completely overpower the aromas from the meal. It wasn't an unpleasant fragrance, but when dining, the aroma of the food is part of the experience, and it became distracting. We started with the Caprese salad, which was excellent and properly prepared. The mozzarella was so good I actually asked if it was house-made. It wasn't, but it certainly tasted like it could have been. My wife and I split the chicken piccata. The chicken itself was perfectly cooked, and the seasonal asparagus was fantastic. If I'm being exceptionally critical, the piccata sauce was slightly thicker than I prefer and leaned a bit too heavily on the lemon. The extra acidity overshadowed the capers somewhat. Likewise, I was a little disappointed to learn the pasta was not house-made and arrived slightly past al dente. These are admittedly minor critiques and the sort of details most diners probably wouldn't notice or care about. Dessert sealed the deal. The homemade key lime pie was outstanding. The filling had a fantastic balance of tartness and sweetness with a smooth, creamy texture that was clearly made in-house. I even verified that with our server. It was a home run and easily one of the highlights of the meal. The fact that I'm discussing details like sauce balance and pasta texture should tell you that the overall meal was very good. The strengths far outweighed the shortcomings. Excellent service, several standout dishes, and a dining experience I'd happily recommend. We'll definitely return the next time we're in Kingman.

Although we were not dressed in suit and tie and formal wear, we were both dressed nicely, slacks, dress shirt and a nice summer dress. Everyone else was in shorts, jeans or picnic attire. I'm no snob, but once in a while it would be nice to dress up a little for date night out. I guess I'm from an era of the past, where once in a while you could put on a jacket and a tie and feel like a date out was a special occasion. Years ago you would never have thought to go somewhere nice and not respect that restaurant without a stylish attire. I believe it is just a time of causal everything and showing a little style is a thing of the past.

I splurged a bit more than usual on myself and went with the dinner Basil Chimichurri NY Sirloin Strip. So glad I did!!!! So glad to custom my order with the waitresses input. The side salad was very good. Then the sauteed asparagus was delightful. Instead of ordering the curious Cactus Blossom as an appetizer, I took her advice and ordered a smaller portion as one of my sides. The steak arrived just as I ordered it. Perfection and delicious. I didn't mind trimming the fat as it was necessary for flavor during the cooking. Too bad the small hill of trimmed fat equaled 1/4 of the whole steak. The second most priciest meal on the menu but that's okay, YOLO.

I ordered a personal pizza called the Classic Pep with some breadsticks with marinara and a drink. The breadsticks were basically a 10 inch cheese pizza with more dough and less cheese, but they were still pretty good. The pizza came about five minutes later and the personal pizza was a tiny pizza, maybe around seven to eight inches, and the pizza was good, but not too great for its small size. Still had leftovers, though. Service was good. When someone comes into here, they have to look at the menu upfront and order at the counter, find a seat of their choice and fill their drink and then it goes from there. Pretty simple. Floyd's seems to be a Stubborn soda fan, which I approve of. The man at the counter actually recommended the breadsticks, and now I realize that the pizza isn't enough to fill me or most anybody. It's mostly an at-the-counter style service, except they bring the food to you. Inside was great. The entrance is a little tight, but there's two sides of the restaurant and I sat down in the right side from the door, so I can't say about the left side. One of my favorite things inside was the drink machine had those levers on it, it just felt much better to pull that for drinks than pushing a button. Overall, Floyd's is a great place to eat for everyone. The food is good, the service is great, and inside is comfy and wooden. One thing I would hope for Floyd's is to make their pizza bigger, their personal pizzas are much like those kid menu pizzas. I'll probably try a sandwich next time. Thank you.
