I've been on a mission to find the best burger in Kingman and I am so glad I stopped by the Olympus diner tucked away over on Eastern street. This place is a total hidden gem for anyone craving a classic juicy and satisfying American burger. From the moment I walked in I was blown away by the service. The waitstaff is incredibly welcoming, attentive, and genuinely seems to care about your dining experience. Unfortunately, the food was very bland and none of us were impressed. It's sad, really. This is such a unique location and the menu looked great. The service was fine, not amazing but it didn't suck. The restaurant is well decorated which gave us high hopes. The gyros were bland, soggy pitas with dry meat. I guess we're back to driving the Baker for The Mad Greek! My husband and I wanted to try out this place. First off the decorum was decent. The restaurant smelled abit of rancid oil but we still wanted to check it out. Several flies were hanging around our section which was bothersom but tolerable. The menu looked great, many choices. We ordered gyros and onion rings. Gyros were somewhat bland. The onion rings were quite hard and smelt like the rancid oil odor throughout the restaurant. I conclude the establishment does not change their oil daily. I've now been to Olympus three times as I work my way down their menu. I've had the Gyro, the Pastitos (sp?) and the Spanakopita, which was my favorite thus far. The food is really good, the gyro I had was delicious and plenty big....lots of meat and sauce, which I loved. The serving staff is really friendly and right there for anything you might need. My dad loves this restaurant and has taken the family and myself to this restaurant on multiple occasions for lunch. I've had the gyro and onion rings on numerous occasions. The gyro was delicious and tasted very authentic and fresh. The onion rings tasted hand battered and also fresh. The service was fast and prompt. The restaurant was very clean and well established. I love the architecture and half moon window shapes with the wild vines growing on the outside of the building. Would recommend to those in search of authentic Greek cuisine. This is the only restaurant in kingman that offers authentic Greek cuisine. The food has been consistent and fresh on all the occasions we've visited. read more

I've tried giving this place a few tries and I won't be back. Pretty disappointed with every bit of our meal. A lot of corners are being cut in the kitchen and it comes througgh in the quality. Service was also pretty slow, with no coffee refills or check-ins until we finished eating. read more

Worst food I have ever eaten. The lettuce was limp and the chicken wasn't even warm, but it was slimy. Not a chance that it was fresh or freshly grilled. The fries were horrible and tasted like they were fried and old oil. I've had amazing Greek food but this wasn't it.​​ read more

I had the chicken fried steak and eggs breakfast special and now I'm stuffed. Steak was fork tender and the over medium eggs were cooked perfectly. Leon's sausage gravy is some of the best I've had. I highly recommend Olympus anytime for breakfast, lunch or weekend dinner. read more

Overall, the rating averages 4 stars. The Greek menu is limited but pretty good. The sandwiches and burgers are also good. The desserts are especially good. The salads are OK but we experienced some lettuce starting to wilt. Given that lettuce is getting scarce and it was only about 15% of the romaine while the rest (of a Greek salad) was fresh, I can forgive this temporary aberration. The salad dressing was disappointing though. I look for an olive oil and balsamic dressing for a Greek salad. The burgers looked good and they are all 1/2 pound. Also, the sandwiches were substantial. Even so, I'd stick to the Greek items. Particularly shining were the spanakopita, tzatziki, souvlaki, and gyro. The avgolemono soup was OK but could be improved and I've had much better. The salmon looked properly cooked but we didn't have it. The flaming cheese appetizer is going to be on our next trip. A Grecian style raclette? The star of the desserts was the baklava-cheesecake. I doubt you'll find this anywhere else as it seems to be the owner's creation. Cheesecakes are made in-house and topped with fruit or the house-made baklava. Some other desserts are commercially made but pretty good. Ask the waiter what is house made. I'll go back any time for the baklava-cheesecake and, judging by the baklava topping, would get a pan of baklava, too. Service was very good and quite friendly. Food came out promptly. It was a slow Saturday no doubt due to the rain. We don't see that much rain and it drives down the traffic, even on Saturday night. There were a couple other dinner specials that we didn't try. We'll go back to test a couple more items and get some more baklava-cheesecake! read more
