I watched a show on Food Network about a master pizza maker who would say, "Too canary!" That meant it was undercooked. This pie wasn't undercooked but 2 minutes more would have yielded a pie with better texture. That being said, the toppings weren't Italian and spare. The toppings were American and delicious. Very friendly and accommodating staff. We went here right after a day in the river since we just wanted something fast but delicious food. On our way to the Grand Canyon we found this gem of a pizzeria. We had a large sausage, pepperoni, mushroom pizza. It was a thinner crust was a delicious pizza sauce with small chunks of tomato. We also had the garlic bread with cheese...perfect!!! The woman helping us was so nice and helpful. I think she might be the owner! She was amazing! Then another gentleman worker came in and was sweeping the restaurant and the outside! The restaurant was cutely painted with Route 66 murals! Was clean and cute! This is definitely a must-try if you're in the area. We stopped here 30 mins before closing and were greeted with excellent service and not once did they try to rush us while we dined in. The owner was very friendly and professional. We had a meat lovers pizza, pepperoni pizza, hot wings and cheesy bread. All of the food was an overall 10/10. Especially the wings and cheesy bread. Tried this place which now has a new owner. The pizza was outstanding. We had the meat lover, & white pizza. Both generous with toppings. The antipasto was very large for the price and no skimping on items in it either. Met a familiar face at the register, a young man named Taren who was so friendly and helpful when we ordered. Ordered the Hawaiian. Family loved it. I really wanted to give a review because of the woman who was working the evening we went in. It was about 7pm on a Saturday. We had just got off the river (party of 8) and were hungry. She took our order and let us know she was about out of dough but had enough for our orders. Apparently she was the only employee (for the day or most of it actually). She was cooking, the cashier and taking phone orders. She never made us feel like we weren't welcomed even though I'm sure she was exhausted. This place was also originally Mudsharks and I loved it then when I was about 10 years old.
