His and another company's estimate were almost exactly the same, but we really liked our interaction with Ismael. He was extremely helpful, answered lots of questions, and was quick to respond. I especially appreciated his effort to help us find the right paint color (another guy told us that wasn't part of his job description). We told him the tone we were seeking, but that we were having trouble finding the color. He went to the paint store, found a couple of tones, painted the samples on our wall, and gave us a little time to make our choice. The paint we chose was from a back catalog of colors - where we would not have thought to look. We love it and are super happy that Ismael helped us in the process. Apart from our choosing the color, he also made the process super fast from our first inquiry to final result (I think it was about a week from estimate to final result). He came and did a final check and immediately arranged to fix a couple of tiny things that seemed a bit undone. I would definitely hire Ismael again for this kind of work. As a sidenote, we also reached out to Ismael for some renovation work in our laundry room - restoring some dry wall and creating some shelving. We found his bid to be quite a bit more expensive, so we opted to go with another contractor. Perhaps the exterior work is more competitively priced? Not sure, but overall, we were very happy with Ismael's help getting our house painted. It's been a couple of months, and I still love looking at the paint color. I hired Capital City to paint the kitchen cabinets and interior doors in my new home. Based on the…read moremultiple 5 star reviews on Yelp, I was expecting really great work! Sadly, what was supposed to be a 3 day painting job turned into a month long ordeal that has left my cabinets and interior doors damaged beyond repair and me heartbroken and in a state of shock. I had brand new solid wood unfinished cabinets in my small kitchen and all new interior doors that I wanted painted. Ishmael was responsive, friendly, and quite convincing that he would be in and out in 3 days. After about 10 days of having his crew in my home, they finally finished. Upon inspection, the paint job was sub-par (lumps, smudges, clouding, etc) and the paint scraped through with a fingernail even after 3 weeks of drying. Ishmael said it was an issue with bad paint and a malfunctioning sprayer and kindly said he would fix the problem. His crew then spent another 10ish days sanding and re-priming everything and then repainted the cabinets... but in the wrong color! (grey instead of blue and Benjamin Moore admitted to making a mixing mistake). After several discussions with Ishmael and testing multiple paint samples he brought over, I finally resorted to buying the paint myself because his vendors were unable to do an accurate color match to Behr's 'Night Shade'. Just as I thought we were back on track and finishing up, his new crew pointed out to me extensive damage to all of my interior doors and cabinets from improper sanding by the first crew. I sent photos to Ishmael but did not receive a response. Around 1 pm that day, the crew abruptly packed up and left - doors partial painted, left leaning up against the walls, overspray all over the kitchen, damage to the dishwasher and microwave, dust everywhere, my ladder was taken, trash and paint stains (on walls, carpet, garage, hardwood, concrete) were left behind, etc. When I asked if the guys were coming back, Ishmael did not return my calls or text messages. To be fair, Ishmael and his crew were nice, and I feel like he did originally try to fix the issues; maybe they were just beyond repair? All I know is we were VERY patient and understanding, and we gave Ishmael and his crew every opportunity to make it right. But now I am left with damaged doors and cabinets, and a very sad heart. Ishmael just sent me a text saying they are not coming back to finish the job. I'm so heartbroken that my new house is ruined and a 'professional' business would just walk out on a job like this with out finishing. I do, however, want Ishmael's crew to know that I appreciate all of their help and honesty in pointing out the issues to me, and that I know none of this was their fault. Just please, please, beware of blindly trusting Yelp reviews. I learned my lesson the hard way and would hate to see anyone else's property damaged! The TSG roofer called me back and said that they were certain that this was a case to go through an adjuster. He was so sure it would be covered. it turns out, not only was the roof not covered, but now I have a list of repairs to the outside of my home. Sadly, TSG ghosted me and I've had to handle all of this on my own. I even had to find someone to do the roof repairs as I continue to get no response from them.

I have hired a LOT of contractors in my time. Typically, it's the same ole same ole. They never…read moreshow up on time. They do just enough to get by and you can never get ahold of them after the fact. That is NOT the case with these guys. Here's the deal. I got Brian's(the owner) number from a friend of a friend. They hadn't actually hired Fulford Construction, but knew of them. We needed a complete gut and refit of our 1983 master bathroom. It was complete with anything else you'd expect in an early 80s built home. It was full of incredibly cheap materials and was simply outdated 20 yrs ago. It even had pink carpet! I was unable to find any reviews on Fulford Construction. Their website was down and there were no reviews to be found out in internet land. I met with Brian and got a good vibe. I took a huge chance and hired him basically blind. For once, I got lucky. These guys are top notch. Brian, Christian and Sean(the prime crew I think) delivered big time. They showed up every single day on time. They took a reasonable lunch period and left on time. None of the typical showing up at noon and leaving at 2 because they have another job going on(Brian managed that stuff AFTER they left my house for the day). There were also no hidden charges, or any shortcuts taken. As with any project, once the demolition is done, there are some unexpected things that come up. Brian ALWAYS got me involved when there was a question about something. He was ALWAYS upfront about my options and what it would cost to make it work(this didn't happen often thankfully). He also offered me his opinion on what would look best and what would be the most cost effective. Bottom line, you simply can't go wrong. He quoted me 3 weeks time and it was done 3 weeks to the day. It is a night and day difference and I can't overstate how lucky you would be to hire these guys. Just a little footnote here. This job was finished a couple of months ago. I am currently in a dispute with one of the local home improvement stores about a defect in something that was sold. Even 2 months later, Brian is actively involved and responsive in helping me get these guys to pay up. I can't imagine any other contractor that I have EVER hired doing that.

Top rated was VIP Garage Door Services. Gave them a call on a whim. JD asked me to send him some pics of the damage. He came out within 30 minutes. Assessed the damage and was able to fix it right after the assessment. He went above and beyond - answered my questions about the second garage door (not the door being repaired), gave great advice on insulation for the doors, he also lubricated the wheels on the damaged door. Never rushed me or the job. Very professional, very friendly/easy to talk to, knows his stuff, and can't beat the price! Highly recommend.
