I have allowed enough time to pass for the problem concerning the product I purchased from the Hair Store at Canyon Falls Salon to be rectified. I am letting you know that I will be writing a review online to all of the different sites in order to advise others on the status of the hair that you sale. I was a loyal customer for 10 years and the one time that I had a problem with the hair that you sold there was no remediation provided. I spent $278 on hair that cannot be worn and had to be taken out of my head and thrown away due to the fact that it was the equivalency of synthetic prepackaged hair that could've been bought for probably a couple of dollars per pack. That was the condition of the hair. I desire that no one else waste their resources by purchasing hair that you do not take the time to quality inventory and ensure that it meets the standards of loyal clients and what we had grown accustomed to purchasing from this company. I will also be filing a formal complaint through the Better Business Bereau. This is not the way a longtime customer of 10 years would expect to be treated therefore, I do not recommend this company, The Hair Store nor the lack of quality of the Indian Straight hair. I highly recommend that you DO NOT use this person's services to do any type of work on your hair. Aside from the lack of expertise and the poor quality of work that she does, this woman is extremely rude, entitled, unprofessional, and continues to make excuses while taking no responsibility for her mistakes. I am writing this review on behalf of my friend whose English is a second language. I was there upon arrival to her "station" and I was there upon picking up her client/my friend a couple of hours later. For starters, as we arrive to the "salon" (I use salon in quotations because we were expecting a full service salon, not a swap meet set up with 40 small stations inside a building) we are greeted by Cynthia and her "assistant" who are just puffing away on cigarettes in very close proximity (we're talking 5 feet max from the front door of the establishment. Cynthia doesn't even greet her client, who, by the way is a first time client who waited over two months for this appointment. Through the trails of cigarette smoke, a booming voice says " What are we doing today?" Through the smoke my friends tells Cynthia that she wants her hair to be lightened to a blonde, something that has been expressed to Cynthia through several conversations. Rather than respond, "o.k., sounds good, let's do it, etc." the response in a nasty smoker's voice is "Your hair is dark." O.k. So we go inside into this maze of stations basically wondering where to go. Cynthia, by the way, is still outside smoking a cigarette. All of this took place in the initial 5 minutes of arriving. In respect of keeping this as concise as possible, I will lost just lost SOME of the major issues that we experienced. List of mistake : - Cynthia did not put the protectant base to protect her clients scalp. As we know, with bleach and similar protects this is very important. -Cynthia's assistant did 80% of the service. As a new client, you would expect that Cynthia would be interested in establishing and building a relationship with said new client, however she only popped in occasionally during this process. She was not there during any of the actual chemical processes. She did not test the strength of the hair after the bleaching or lifting. Instead, Cynthia had about 5 other clients that she was running around tending too during this particular appointment. Further, when she was with her client( which was rare) Cynthia chose to be on her phone. - When it came time to remove the foil, Her assistant (because Cynthia was somewhere else) pulls the foil off of my friend's hair very aggressively and quickly. This action causes the bleach spread to the ends of the hair, which was already lightened, and causes breakage. -Further when it cam time to rinse the bleach out, it was done too soon. The hair was only at a Level 7 at this point. My friend is also a licensed cosmetologist and hair stylist. Cynthia was aware of this and still provided this level of care, unbelievable.the hair was not even checked for strength prior to rinsing. Again, this was performed by her assistant. Anytime chemicals were applied or to be removed Cynthia should have been the person to perform those tasks. As a matter of fact, Cynthia was booked for this appointment, not her assistance, so it was highly in inappropriate that the majority of the service was performed by her assistant. ⁃ During this appointment Cynthia had 4-5 other clients at the same time! I guess this is an in-and-out burger type of situation. ‍ -Her services are over priced, $200 plus tip was paid to Cynthia and the client brought her own products!! This type of process takes several hours and Cynthia had her client in-and-out in about 2.5 hours. Cynthia then had the audacity to ask to schedule another session in a couple of weeks for an additional "discounted" rate of $160. SCAMMER ALERT*** -The "end result" was very close to what the hair looked like at the beginning of the appointment, it was nowhere close to what was asked and shown to Cynthia as far as the desired look. -We called Cynthia to discuss the situation and make her aware of all the issues. Rather than listen, apologize, or try to correct the situation, Cynthia was extremely rude, Interrupted several times, and then told her client she wouldn't not be doing her hair. The icing on the cake what when she decided to block the client, who so gradually and politely called to find a solution to this entire mess. Again i highly recommend that you DO NOT use Cynthia for your hair needs and find a professional stylist elsewhere. I can provide pictures if anyone is interested. read more

I came here yesterday in search for adhesive hair extensions aka tape-ins. I was greeted and helped by Adam, he was very knowledgable about the products and helped me pick out the perfect extensions. Canyon falls carries ALOT of different colors and lengths. I ended up purchasing four packs of 18" BOHYME hair. It's 100% remi human hair and all of the cuticles were in the same direction which makes it SUPER smooth and silky which is a plus. Canyon falls also have hair stylists working there if you want to get your extensions put in right then and there but my best friend is a hair stylist so I just got it done by her. I'll definitely be coming back to buy more hair here! I think I'll do the 22" next time :) read more

Many issues during my visit. I booked with Cynthia Jackson because I liked her work on Instagram and I was quoted 70-100 dollars for the services I requested. She lived an hour away from me so I drove far to have her do my hair. I get there and 2 other people are here for her to...So each of us is passed on to a different stylist! Turns out her husband does the quoting through HER Facebook, it isn't her replying to you. So he under quoted me. They didn't tell me this until my hair was half way done. And said it's $150 lowest they can give me. She said if I can't pay it then they can stop services and rinse it out. Well I'm not gonna leave with my hair half done...So I'm here paying more than what I expected and by some other person. This there sales tactic! Book you cheap to get you in the door, do your hair just enough so you can't say forget it. Triple book with a known person and then pass clients to other workers who don't have clients. My results were nothing like what I showed Cynthia and Val. Cynthia has to keep insisting it looked great. When I got home I noticed how incredibly damaged my hair was. Val had raved about how soft my hair was when I first got there...then they over bleached my hair to a white looking blonde that I did not ask for. Now it is permanently in knots and frayed at the ends. I have tried contacting Cynthia and she has ignored me. So unprofessional, I'. They are liars and scammers. Don't come here. Save yourself the disappointment. I was told by Cynthia she cannot do business with me anymore because I will never be satisfied...UPDATE: It has been over 4 months and I got a message from Cynthia saying I'm welcome back anytime if I want a fix...well My hair is back to feeling healthy after all this time...and I will never step back into that place. I've been to this location a few times. I've never been impressed, but they offer great Groupons. The last encounter I had was getting a manicure/pedicure. There is only one person who provides these services. She is extremely knowledgeable and great at her job. My complaint was with the office manager. Her idea of managing is yelling....AND at a quiet spa. She was yelling about towels and barbicide (a cleaning agent). The manager even confronted the therapist during my service. Completely unprofessional and made me feel uncomfortable. I heard from another employee, "That's just how she is." Completely ridiculous! When checking out, again, very rude! I saw Vanessa on a recommendation from a friend. She was amazing!! My hair was dyed red about 4 months ago and the last hairdresser I saw dyed it a dark brown to get rid of the red and lighter at the roots. I went with Cynthia during quarantine to have my hair lightened. She decided to do "baby lights" on my hair... it was awful! Paid $200 plus tip. The roots were so bad and sharp. I sent her pictures of my hair and she said she could darken my roots and blend them. Fine, she did this service for free. Booked her again 3 months later to continue to lighten my hair. At this time her assistant did all the work. I was left under the heater for a very long time and Cynthia not once came to check on me. As the assistant was washing my hair she lets me know that my hair is breaking. BREAKING! Cynthia comes over and begins to ask me questions about what hair products I use and then asks, "are you on your period? Your hair is being hormonal" WTF!!! Are you seriously trying to pin your bad work on me? When I was taken back to the chair, Cynthia is sitting down combing through extensions lol! Again wtf! You should be treating my hair. She offered a free keratin hair treatment saying that it doesn't cost her a thing to give me one. And that she could tone my hair again for free. Are you kidding me?! I would never ever go back to her regardless of the free services. My hair was so badly burned and broken. 2 weeks later I ended up cutting my hair in a short bob because it felt so thin when putting in a pony tail. I would NOT recommend this person. I got my hair done by Cynthia and will never come back. The day before I asked for a quote for babylight root touch up and hair extension installation ( I bought my own extensions) and was quoted what I thought was a reasonable price and similar to what I paid for back home in Washington. When I arrived, she was finishing up with another client and passed me on to another hair stylist till she was done. I was asked what I was quoted and was informed that I was quoted wrong due to her husband scheduling appointment and quoting clients. We settled in for half of what would have cost me, and instead of doing a full head of babylights I had to settle for partial. Cynthia went on to applying my Babylights, and at first I was impressed how quick and "efficient " she was with the process. She was juggling other clients while I was there. After just an hour and a half of having my hair touched up and extensions but in I was disappointed! I felt the salon feeling embarrassed! The "quick and efficient" babylights were sloppy and found blotches of bleached hair at the back of my head, the toner ( which washes right out after the first wash) was not the color I requested and it didn't match the extensions I bought which is the same color I have used before and blended beautifully. The extension placement is horrible, they don't know how to blend them in well, you couldn't totally tell I had them in, and I was not able to do anything with my hair without the tapes showing, not even a low ponytail. I ended getting my color and extensions done elsewhere. Don't waste your money here! read more
