I went to Giana for a Curly Cut and can't say enough good things about the result and experience. I've had curly cuts in the past across a variety of locations (NYC, DC, LA) -- some good, some not so great. I recently moved to Vegas and was looking for a curly salon. Radically Curly was the only one that seemed authentically dedicated to curly hair so I made an appointment with them --about a month out, but very worth the wait. When I arrived to the salon, it was clear that this was a place for curlies! Everyone had such beautiful, curly hair (clients and stylists) and the smells were great. Overall, the vibe and ambiance was a 10/10. Beyond that, and most importantly, I felt heard throughout the process and got the results I was looking for. Giana listened to my wants -- keep the length, added layers to highlight my curls and add more volume to my hair as I focus on growing it out. I asked for a diva cut. The stylist didnt know what that was ( 1st red flag). I advised her that i do not mind cutting whatever needs to be cut. I wanted a defined cut/ style. I was so excited to have my appointment with Radically Curly as I have been growing my hair out for the past 4 years and only had a curly hair trim once. So I was going to their salon for my second curly hair trim. I was booked with Miori who from Instagram is a very talented young woman. However, I received a different result. We discussed the style and cut I was going for which we both agreed to keep my length and just trim it up. So she began trimming and trimming and more trimming but I am not questioning her and am trusting her process. After the trim it was hard to determine the length, as I was again... trusting her. While washing my hair she asked did I want definition or volume. I told her "Volume, the bigger the better" she said ok. She then proceeded to blow dry my hair. After done blow drying she asked me how I liked it. I asked her was that it or was she going to pick or fluff it out. It was clear she forgot what we had just discussed (Again, not really LISTENING to me as her customer). The final result was nothing that I expected but instead was what seemed to be the traditional transition curly hair cut/shape. Which is NOT what I asked for. As women we know our hair is a journey that we work hard at and for her to cut off all my hard work broke me down. I now have to wear hats and ponytails to try to grown my hair back. Due to this experience I will never set foot in a hair salon again. I am all for supporting women but when I reach out to the owner, I was IGNORED. So unfortunately I now have to write this review to hopefully save another woman from getting her hair chopped off. read more

I was really hoping to get a haircut from here since there aren't many curly hair specialist. I made an appointment for a curly hair consultation with Miori, she seemed friendly when we met but it also seemed like the consultation was about upselling too. Haircuts start at $110 I believe then she recommend to get a deep conditioning as well which was around $100 if I can remember correctly. I made an appointment to get my cut with her after we spoke for 15 minutes and it was two months out. She gave me her phone number and told me if I had any questions or concerns to reach out to her, a few days later I texted her asking for more information on the haircut she recommend and no text back. A week later I texted her again stating I know she's busy but I would appreciate more information and I got no responses. I ended up reaching out to their general phone number and Danielle responded. She told me she would tell Miori to make sure to respond to me and it never happened. Thankfully Danielle answered my questions and was helpful, however this a month later when Danielle and I spoke. October 15th was my appointment, two months later and Miori texted me a day before to confirm the appointment. She never knowledge my question or apologized for not responding - I simply text her back to cancel my appointment and she had the audacity to tell me to contact her when I was ready to reschedule. Where do I even begin?? This place has become a place of curly haired refuge for me. I don't know why it has taken me so long to write a review but here I am. I searched high and low for a place to cut my natural hair. I finally stumbled upon radically curly. Does it take awhile to get in? Absolutely! But it is simply because these women are the best here in Las Vegas. My go to girl is Tiara. She does an amazing job at shaping, coloring and giving advice. I've never gotten my hair styled by Danielle but I love watching her work when I'm there. She's the owner. I begin going to them in 2018 and they have since gotten more stylist and moved to a bigger spot. Once my daughter is old enough, I can't wait for her curls to be blessed. 10/10 would recommend. Soooo, I don't even know where to start. My stylist's name is Mimi... I can say she is never getting rid of me unless I move from Nevada. She was extremely kind and informative. She explained every step to me, including showing me how to style my hair to replicate the salon look at home. She was not overly pushy with products that would do me some good and definitely had no judgment on the mop I walked in with...at all. I'm a low-maintenance kind of lady, when it comes to my hair I don't have a lot of patience and I'm definitely insecure when it comes to doing something other than throwing my hair up in a bun. After asking some basic questions, Mimi knew exactly what I wanted gave me a cut with a simple style that doesn't take a cosmetologist to replicate. I walked out of there with the confidence I need to attempt my low maintenance look tomorrow- alone. The only extra thing I left with was the $5 comb that she used while shampooing and conditioning my hair... it reminded me of one of those old school hand combs that cholos used...but I was presently surprised at how good it felt while she was shampooing and conditioning my hair and even more surprised on the fact that I could run my fingers through my hair. Had an express haircut with Jada Blount yesterday. She was awesome! Was able to do everything I asked for (cutting the blonde off my ends, fixing the shape/rounding out the back, face framing layers) and recommended a mousse that I purchased from the salon and really like. My curls feel much bouncier and lighter given that my hair is extremely thick. Was able to schedule super last minute since I had a flight to catch (booked the day before) and was true to time estimate (took about an hour) Unfortunately, I don't live local but if I'm in Vegas again, I'll definitely book the Curly Love :) read more

I was so happy when she told me my hair is really healthy and the curls have grown much longer. My relationship with the stylists here was built on trust, faith and energy. With that being said I have been hurt by a stylist in the past and ended up with bleach fried damaged curls. I came here with an open mind and a strong belief that I would get the color and shape of my dreams overtime. TRUST the process. I asked for a more layered look with my curls but was told that I couldn't. I would've liked her to accommodate my wishes and let me decide if I liked it or not. Also, I thought that they would cut my hair dry rather than wet. They do a little bit of both but I feel like they cut a lot while it's wet versus while it's dry. I've been to other salons that do curly haircuts and although this place is good, it wouldn't be the best in my opinion. I am willing to give them another try and although I don't consider them to be the best they are still better than a lot of other places I've been to. I do have to say they are very sweet here. They took lots of pictures but I hadn't seen any one of them on their site. Not sure what they take pictures for if not for that. Anyways, give them a try and see if they are for you. I found Radically Curly through Yelp. I need to find a hair salon since I would be getting my hair done for my wedding and I was coming from out of town. I chose this place because of the great customer reviews!! I went for my consultation appointment in December. All of the staff was extremely friendly and welcoming. I worked with MiMi. She sat me down and we looked over pictures and discussed what my vision was. Originally, I wanted to have a gray ombre color. I really appreciate this salon because they told me how damaging it would be to my hair since it was so dark and I had a previous home dye job toward my ends. I went to another salon prior to this one and they were willing to strip my hair, but weren't concerned about the damage it would cause. Radically Curly was very transparent in letting me know of the damage that would happen if I went that light. All of the stylists worked with me to come up with an idea that worked. I came back in February for my wedding. I had 2 appointments; one for the color and the other for the syle. The color went really good. MiMi was mindful of my comfort and satisfaction. The second appointment was for the style for the day of my wedding. We were on a time crunch but those ladies really put in the work to not only make sure I was out in a decent amount of time, but to also make sure that I looked good for the aisle. So accommodating. Could not be more grateful I found this place! I will not let anyone else come near my curls now. The salon is clean and the staff are super friendly and absolutely know their stuff. I had the radically curly cut and got my hair color changed (corrected would be a better description, long story). Honestly I don't know how Cheyvonni did it but she fixed my color and brought my curls back to life. She listened to what I wanted and took the time to work with me on it. I transitioned for 2 years, big chopped in April '17 and went to the salon (Radically Curly) for the first time last October '17. I went in and immediately was greeted very warmly and given a hair consultation which made me feel good. The original appointment I booked was for a curl definition treatment (my main goal, curl definition and moisture). Everything was good until we got to the wash bowl and two ladies were defanging my hair. My hair was very matted, and they were detangling it with a hand brush similar to a curl teezer. They assured me that the it sounded far worse than it actually was. The pictures show what my hair looked like before, and the after picture is literally right after they finished "styling" my hair. My hair was crunchy and stiff and felt absolutely awful immediately after my "deep conditioning treatment." I believed they used Deva Curl products on my hair, however I am not 100% sure. As soon as I got home I washed my hair, only to find that the texture felt completely different. I had two Afros in one (because of all of the breakage) and my hair would not take to any of my products the same way that it did prior. Now, 6 months later, and my hair is still recovering. Every time I was I have breakage (which I never ha before), my hair is dryer than ever, and it will not clump anymore. I went to Raw Remedies, didn't tell them anything about my hair, they looked at my hair and asked if I had put a chemical treatment on it, because majority of it was damaged. I now wear my hair in braided protective styles everyday and I have just accepted the fact that my two years of transitioning was ruined in a few short hours, and the fact that I'll just have to grow out and cut off all the hair that received the treatment at Radically Curly. I can't even begin to put into words my devastation. There's not a day that goes by that I am not saddened by the current state of my hair. I'll start with, I'm not too fond of my hair. It's not the texture, I love that, but it just does what it wants to do. The hair at my crown tends to be on the drier and coarse side, with 3C-4A curls and in the back, it's very fine, with 3A-3B curls. It grows in a natural mullet, no matter what I do. I'd been to Radically Curly years ago, when they were in Sola Salons and named Hair Artisans. Danielle gave me my first hair cut as a natural. Unfortunately on this day, I was unable to get an appointment with her, but was still happy to have an appointment with Giana. I've had no true completely positive experiences with getting my natural haircut. It just never comes out as planned. I drove all the way from LA for this appointment with high hopes. Giana had another client in her seat when I arrived, but I didn't have to wait very long. She provided me with an initial consultation, asking me about my hair, how I styled it, what I felt my issues were and what my goals were. I showed her pictures of styles that I liked, but simply asked her to cut/style it in a way that would be flattering with my face shape. After that, she began cutting my hair. I clarified how to arrive with my hair, and was told how I usually style it. I mentioned that I get a lot of shrinkage in the front and that I had stretched my hair for evenness and length. She trimmed a small amount, and then we went over to the sink for a wash, condition, etc. I booked the Curly 911 along with the cut. As she's telling me what she's using, I asked if I should be writing this down. She said no, she'd provide me with the information at the end. After all of the washing, conditioning, steaming and rinsing, she added the gel and mousse at the sink. She then sat me under the dry for a little while, then we finished with my head upside down, and blow dry. The curls were beautiful, but, as I had mentioned, there was significant shrinkage at the crown, and none at the back. Again, causing the mullet. Giana asked me if I always had that much shrinkage, and I said yes, which is why I mentioned the hair stretching. I had also previously stated that it may be best to cut the back short, due to my hair textures being this way. She then began trimming more in the back and the sides to create better shape. Once completed, I went to pay, and was shown the two bottles of the items used to style my hair. The description of the Curly 911 is that "they'll pick the best treatment for you," but I would think that I would have left with details on the other products used, and how to maintain the health of my hair. It was past closing time when she was done, so I didn't stress the issue. All in all, the pampering was nice, my curls looked nice, and I appreciate that she truly tried, but for the price, I feel that I could have done the same at home. Overall, I will probably stick with trimming and styling my own hair. Do not take my word for how your experience will be. Try them, you may have a better overall experience. They are truly kind and knowledgeable. read more
