Decided to try based on a news article on this place. Sounded good, support local small businesses. Gave it a try tonight. Was not greeted, checked out the menu. Pizza guy just looked at me didn't offer help. Decided order and went to register to place order. Had to ask for my receipt was told be 30 min. Went to car and waited. 1 min till order was to be done. Went in and waited a couple minutes and got my pizza. Take it home and crack it open. I got the extra large and could not taste the meat at all. Sausage, pepperoni and ground beef. Lots of cheese. I could only taste the onions and black olives. Sauce was ok and crust was ok. Overall it was ok. I was not really pleased with my service and my product. I would not partake again in this pizza. I've had much better and much worse. Not worth the money to me and not a fan myself. read more

I remarked that I thought it was a bit pricey and was told to go to Pizza Hut or Dominos. I won't be back here. I understand that this is a change in ownership. Not even close to what it used to be under previous ownership. I had a piece today and the crust was chewy and undercooked with only 3 pieces of pepperoni on the entire slice. Just chatting with the employee I said there used to be a lot more toppings before. He said " it has 3 pieces, what more do you want." I can't recommend pizza here anymore under this ownership. Pizza here is similar to Costco quality, but at a round table price. It was 31 bucks for an extra large 2 topping pizza. I understand charging 4 bucks for a single slice but when you are buying the whole pie I could see it being 22 at the most. Over-priced for what you get. Just go to Costco and pay 10 bucks. I recently moved to the area and I take Canyon to get to work in Tacoma. I started stopping in here a few months ago to grab drinks on my way and decided to try their pizza. Best decision ever. They don't always have a lot in stock, but the pizza is always delicious and hot, the crust is the perfect amount of fluffy and crisp, and the customer service is fantastic. I remember this place being great for pizza and customer service. Not sure what happened. I was in town on business and was excited to come by again. -No public restrooms... ok I can understand. -But the cost of the pizza was almost double what it was a few years back. Ok, inflation. -Then they want to charge extra for a debit card under $10. Maybe under $5 I get it. We all know merchant services cost. Most are around 2-3%... They were asking for close to 7%. So you would think pizza and a gas station would sound horrid... But canyon pizza is far from that. I live nearby and between sports, boy scouts, and the chaos of life I can run into a lack of time and pizza delivery taking up to an hour just wasn't cutting it. So I took the gamble one day and ordered two pies which were very reasonably priced. My kids devoured them. Which a pizza hut pizza will be lightly grazed. The pies were loaded with cheese and the perfect amount of sauce. My kids loved the juicy ham and pineapples. I am a vegetarian and they customized me a pie at a great price. The crust was soft yet had the perfect amount of crisp. Both pies were done within 15 mins hot and delicious. One of the reviews really upset me the person had obviously never tried the pizza and I often rely on yelp to help me decide on trying something new. Dont steer away from this place because of the typical little Asia conglomerate of odds and ends and maximizing the space in the shop to sell a bit of everything. They try to make it a one stop shop and from a business standpoint offering different types of items means add ons and more profit. They make amazing pizzas at great prices and get it done quickly. I have been using Yelp for a long time, but never felt the need to write a review until I noticed the much under appreciated, but deserving Canyon Road Pizza. I have been eating here occasionally for about 9 years. The pizza is always good, and super cheap. It's not to die for, but, in a small city like Puyallup where it is near impossible to find just a slice of pizza, this place is quick, cheap, and loaded with cheese and toppings. Never thought you could be disappointed in a gas station. I go to my boyfriends work for lunch once a week and we go and pick it up for the entire building. They do something different each week and decided on pizza from the shops favorite location. We head over and the store is practically empty minus us, a young couple, and a single gentlemen. The two women working ignored me and my boyfriend and served the man who was there after us first, and then another gentlemen walked in and she still offered to help him before us which was upsetting but alright, he's my dads age and I don't mind since we're probably going to take a slice of chicken pizza and 4 slices of pepperoni/sausage pizza. The gentlemen points out that we were here first, the girl running the pizza station rolls her eyes and still insists to serve him and we let him know it's okay, he can go first since we're ordering for a group. She quickly snaps that we can't order a whole pizza and we have to use the online ordering system, which her coworker at the register immediately responds that the online ordering is down and not working, to which pizza girl says "oh well, you can't order the rest of the pizza (5 slices)" having worked as an assistant manager at a pizza joint I know the importance of having pizza doughs stretched and inventory prepared for hand made fresh pizzas during the lunch rush (it's 1:45). She then claims they've been slammed all day and I don't understand the amount of work that goes into stretching dough and making pizzas and it's inconsiderate of us to want to buy out the last of their pizza. Maybe her passive aggressive tactics to get around doing less work and having an easy job work with other customers but not with someone who has put years into the same industry. When we make it to the register after the pizza box being dropped over the counter into our hands, the gal at the counter asks how much pizza we bought, and we tell her "we're not sure, the other gal was acting weird and wouldn't let us buy what we wanted" since of course the woman working the pizza station stopped communicating with us and kept mumbling under her breath about us we weren't sure what she had actually put in the box. She then blames US for buying out the last 5 slices during lunch rush and says she's not being weird its just our fault for buying the last of the pizza.. my boyfriend usually comes and picks up 7 slices for the crew once a month and has never been asked to call ahead, never been burdened by the staffs laziness and made to feel it was his fault they had no pizza cooked for the empty store of customers. Gave it 2 stars because the pizza was actually really good, but service like that I will never be back, will be contacting management tomorrow about the two workers since they're both the two workers on shift currently. read more

This establishment is refusing to follow the governors orders during a pandemic. Employees aren't wearing masks while making your food, or at all while waiting on customers. They aren't making the customers wear facial coverings either and when I asked why, they started an altercation with me. I have a small child with respiratory issues and they thought it was funny to ignore the new statewide order. DO NOT Spend your money here! Sorry, what ever they used to do they QUIT doing. There used to be a young woman who made the pizza there, and it was really good. Over the past few months it's a constant disappointment. Tonight, The Meat Lovers Pizza. Should be called the Crust Lovers Pizza. Missing the Beef completely, Fake Chicken, no really, some sort of fake bread flavored chicken. UGH!!! A little sauce, and about 2" of crust showing on a medium pizza. We gave them a couple of chances thinking they were just having an off day. I usually really like this place but the last two times I went into this place I have the rudest experience. A week ago they complained to the customer in line behind me that she was upset because I asked for her to place it in a box after she tried to give me individual plates. This time I went in to grab some pizza for my family and the employee behind the counter grabbed a plate before she got angry for me asking for a plate later I asked for a box early on. She asked how many slices I was grabbing. I told her six for my four kids, my wife, and myself. She proceeded to tell me that I needed to order ahead because this was for all the other customers that come in and I was wiping her case out. I asked if I could order by the slice over the phone, the reason we go there is because all of my family like different flavors which is why we like going there. She told me I could do half and half. I said that doesn't help what my kids like about this place. she then asked me rudely what I wanted. Keep in mind she had one whole pizza, two 3/4 pizzas and two slices of another. Overall she had 22 slices of pizza and she was rude through the entire exchange and then at the end she asked me very rudely, is this it or would you like any others. I am sorry but why would I ask for any more after being told how terrible of a customer I was. I will not be going back and I will inform the management, the owners, social, and any other form of communications I have at my disposal to inform any customer that goes in there; that even though the pizza is delicious, the customer service of this place is lacking in every sense of the word and they should be ashamed how they not only talked to me, but to my child as well who was with me. read more

I used to get pizza here as a kid with my dad. I remembered it being good. I live down the road from it now and have it occasionally. We got a pepperoni the other night, and it was delicious!! They could have put more pepperoni on it, but hey its not dominos. They put a good amount of cheese on. The right amount of sauce for me, it tastes awesome by the way.
