Nice place well kept, no problems from my end with the whole experience, the lady running the place is a sweet women and easy going,

Management is very unprofessional! My wife and I stopped by to see about a space. We spoke with Brittney. After telling her the size of our Jayco travel trailer being 29' and we have a Rav 4 and a chevy Silverado 1/2 ton she suggested space 00 just behind the office. She said it would be perfect and their security camera would over look the back of our trailer. She said the space was $525 a month. I said sounds good! She said we could look at it so we did. The site had plenty of space as i did a measurement to be sure. There would still be a good 8ft from the back of our bumpers to the road. We went back told her looks good there's plenty of room we'll take it. She said they needed a $200 dollar deposit so we did that right then. We filled all the paperwork and were ready to go. We were to move in on the 17th. We gave notice at the park we were at in San Antonio. 4 days before we were to move there she calls and asks about our vehicles so my wife tells her as we did when we were there and she then blames the owners and says they came by and said we wouldn't fit in the spot which was a lie. She gave our site away! If she didn't know when she called what cars we were, how would the owners know they wouldn't fit and she had all this information and said it would work great. So she says she has to move us but it will be a space with more room. I said we'll we would need to see it. I asked if it was the same price, she said yes I'm giving you a discount, making it sound like it was still the same. I right away questioned it and then she says it's $545 I giving you a discount. I said our site you promised us with our deposit is $525 and now you want to charge us more when we were already booked for our spot paperwork done everything. She said yeah I'm giving you a discount like that makes it OK. I said we had our spot booked and deposit paid! Then she say "Well you can look around see what else you find, I could refund your deposit! I said " We booked that site! I said were done here just refund our deposit. She got ticked off and hung on us. The the owners of that rv park really need a professional person who doesn't have problems dealing with the public. All these negative reviews can't be wrong. If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I normally don't leave reviews for anything but found this necessary. I simply called to ask a few questions, and automatically was hung up on. These people need to work on their customer service, even just the way they speak to you over the phone. I had to call again to make sure they actually listened to what I had to say, had to speak to them like they were a child. I can't even imagine what type of people they'd be if our company were to do business with them. Super unprofessional. I'm pretty patient but that really ticked me off. read more

I have stayed at this location for many years, and I must say that the new owners have really made some big improvements, there no longer is a rude woman policing the property unnecessarily bossing people around, the laundry and on site facilities have all been repaired, replaced and improved, allowing travelers to do laundry without having to leave the property. The hard freeze of 2021 killed many of the palm trees in south texas, the dead trees have been removed and the remaining living palm and regional trees have all been trimmed up nicely, allowing much needed shade from the brutal summer Texas heat. I would recommend Canyon Trail RV to all visitors passing through, it's a calm, clean and quite property that is very safe for families and singles alike. read more

I just bought this RV and was looking for a place to park for the month. I phoned and spoke with the lady that manages the place and she had space available. It was explained to her that it would be for me in the beginning and that my wife and child would come in a week or so. She said the deposit was 200 and the rent was 440 and had to be in cash. I discussed with her that I would arrive there by 7:30 pm and she said that was fine. I went to the ATM to get the money and headed to the property. Upon arrival at 7:15 pm I phoned and she acted reluctant to come check me in. When she drove up she looked at me and basically made excuse after excuse as to why I couldn't rent from them. Im not sure if it is because I am darker skinned (Native American) or what were their problem was. She spoke about how they are a quite community. They seemed very sketchy and I did not feel comfortable because of their actions so I just left. I drove by here in the daylight and the park is empty and has tons of spots available. Just be weary of this place as they are not on the up and up. read more

Stayed at Canyon Trail 2 yrs ago. Since then it's definitely gone down hill. No one in the office, take an envelope from a box assigning one of the less favorable site when good ones were open, then pay with cash thru slot in the door. Called the 2 numbers to get info....2.5 hrs later no call back. Spoke with resident...owner is elderly & "someone else" is handling it badly. Cable is better this time but wifi that was great before is now "iffy" at best. We decided to try another campground. Not recommending it any longer read more

Lady is rude and snobby. Says you cant park in her shit park if you have an old rv. When she has ones from the 80s lined up back there rottin. Acts like its weird to live alone in your camper. Had a friend there said she locked up the showers just cuz she was tired of cleanin em. And didnt look like she ever cleaned em anyway read more

Resort prices and far from a resort. Very minimal shade in boiling Texas heat. No one is Ever at office. Rude woman over phone and in person works here. Wifi sucks. Wish there were more Rv parks in hill country area, we won't stay here again. read more

The girlfriend of the RV park owner was rude. The grounds are bare bones. The playground looks like a scene from Silent Hill. Would not go back! read more

No amenities and the cable or what they call cable is nothing but channels you can get over the airways. No one works the office, you just leave your monthly space rent in a envelope and drop it in the office. Ant beds everywhere and if you need to talk to them, you have to leave a voicemail and hope they return the call. read more

When I visit San Antonio and Austin I always stay at this park because it is conveniently located between the two and a short drive to Schlitterbahn water park and the outlet mall the wife likes that the rv park itself the roads are all paved the spots are concrete and level so no messing with the RV to get it level and shade trees from that hot Texas Sun read more

I made a monthly reservation for a site and when I showed up there was no available sites. Called the number on the door and was told to pick any of the three available sites. Each site listed was taken. This park accepts cash only, reservations are not held with payment or documented. The park is being ran by a brother and sister and I was subjected to their sibling rivalry while they blamed each other. These two run this park as a hobby not a business. My worst ever experience at an RV park! read more

DO NOT CAMP HERE. We made a reservation several weeks in advance and arrived at 1 pm only to find the office closed with at least a dozen different signs on the front door but no reservation information or any information whatsoever. We called the phone number on the door but no one answered so we left a message, found an open pad and parked. The call was returned 4-1/2 hours later after we had completely hooked up our motorhome and unhooked our tow vehicle. The woman who called was rude and told us to leave $50 in cash or check in one of their envelopes and drop it in the mail chute. Every building on the property was locked and the laundry, showers and bathrooms were all permanently closed. WiFi and cable didn't work and whoever camped out in our spot prior to us left a gallon jug of water full of cigarette butts. There were dogs off leash and other campers who let their dogs crap everywhere but never cleaned up after them. We only stayed because we were 10 miles away when they called and were already set up. The next morning the owners showed up at our door before we had a chance to leave the envelope and demanded their $50 so I took the opportunity to ask them how they can charge $50 for nothing but a pad, electric, water and sewer and zero amenities save the loose dogs and dog crap. The woman got loud and demanded the cash, then started yelling that I'd better pay up or she was going to park a backhoe in front of our motorhome and call the police. We've never experienced anything like this and we've spent over 1,000 nights out in our motorhome. read more
