I've had some bad experiences with dentists and especially their staff/assistants, which is why I'm really happy I found Dr. Agnew. I'm a newer patient--I've only been to the office twice so far--but I'm very impressed with Dr. Agnew and his entire team. They're all friendly, patient, helpful, and respectful. My teeth are very well taken care of. Just got a full set of xrays today. Pretty easy and after my exam got a clean bill of health. Front desk gals are always very helpful also. If you are scared to death of dentists then this is the place to go, Randy is awesome, I felt no pain he numbed it up awesome I didn't feel one thing. I don't think I have ever left a review for a dentist before but in this case it is very warranted. Today I received my dental implant and the whole process with Dr. Agnew was Amazing!!! My experience with Dentist's is that many are always on the "UP-SELL" which destroys any level of confidence or trust. I mention this only to illustrate my general level of skepticism. As I shopped around for a dentist to perform this implant, the challenge to get a straight answer about costs and what's involved felt like I was talking to used car salesman but that was very different with Dr. Agnew and his staff. They were very friendly and no pressure. They were clear with information and very reasonable with their pricing (relatively speaking). Once I selected Dr. Agnew, he proceeded with a very professional and sincere manner. I am a 42 year old RN with SEVERE phobia to dental work! ( people who suffer from phobia know this is not just a simple fear, it's a disease) I went to SO many dentists throughout my life, even though some of them were kind they still looked down on me and my phobia. Until I found Dr Agnew. This man is the most honest and kind dentist I've ever seen! First of all he gives you all the time in the world to be on Nitrous, so you feel really relaxed before he starts working on your teeth. Then he constantly check your non verbal cues to make sure you are not in pain! Aside from pain, unlike other dentists who love to put crowns on he only suggests it when it's absolutely necessary. For instance, today I was supposed to get a crown(on my last cleaning the hygienist thought my tooth was broken) I already signed for payment and I was already in twilight but after he checked my tooth he said "it's not broken, it just needs a filing! " that shows how honest he is! He could easily put the crown on as planned and I wouldn't know. This is a RARE quality in dentists. And the office staff and his assistants are beyond amazing! They go above and beyond to help you and make you feel comfortable and safe! This office is a dream dental office! Thank you ladies and thank you Dr. Agnew. I love you all read more

I've been going to this office to see Dr Agnew for about 2 years. The office is extremely friendly and I'm shocked others have found them to be rude. While I haven't had any major dental work, the work I have had done was excellent. The hygienist does a good job and is friendly as well. I never have to wait to long to be seen and I have had no problems. I recommended this dentist to family and friends. My husband is happy as well with Dr. Agnew and staff. read more

So here I am a year later since I left Agnew's office. Has anyone actually had a surgery from him? Has anyone had him put implants in crooked and then 6 months later say I could probably jimmy rig it to be ok.....or have him then change his mind on the implants and decide he will put in a bridge.. then have a temper on you when you don't understand....as he chops out an existing beautiful front implant and 2 eye teeth crowns that were new? Did you even go to him on a morning a rock hit his windshield and he was in a bad mood so the whole office and the patient had to treat him like a 2 year old or another bad mood because His daughter's car needed repairs? These things are everyday real life. Needless to say he refunded me a small amount of money for work he did but I am up to about $40 grand on undoing his inferior work. When I complained about how bad I looked he offered to redo the bridge that 3 dentists said you never see such a long bridge it's just not done. It was also going uphill in my mouth. He is not fit to touch your mouth. There is a joke with my friends that I found him on Groupon. I will update again. Ps I really enjoy the girls in the office. read more

My Cleanings with Brenda are always pleasant and Brenda goes over and above to take time to educate you and gives great suggestions and advice. She is gentle and thorough at the same time. I just got back from this office today and this dentist is amazing! Let's go bk a couple of wks, I had a sore tooth and I had gone to Newport Dental in Orange, That was the worst experience of my Life!! The Dentist couldn't numb me out and I felt everything!! Yes Everything! ( I will be writing them a negative review). So for the last 2 wks I've been suffering a horrible, horrible tooth throbbing pain. So I called them today and they got me in right away. He took X-rays and Found I needed a root canal, and tht my tooth was infected. I was very Very nervous about feeling any pain, but he was Soooo good at numbing me out I didn't feel ANYTHING!! He even numbed out the injection area before So I didn't even feel the injection. I think he is amazing dentist. I would recommend Him to anyone who needs work and wants to feel no pain. The staff was also very nice and helpful. He sent me home with antibiotics and I will return to do The second half of the root canal in a month, and I am Not nervous one bit. I would again definetly recommend him. read more

Dental office visits are not at the top of my list of things to do, but I do enjoy my visits with Dr. Randy Agnew and his staff. I call him Randy, because we're cool like that. Randy and his staff are all very friendly and courteous. They make me feel comfortable and welcomed every time, like a friend. I am always greeted by everyone when I come in for my visits. As a germaphobe I really appreciate the cleanliness of the office, including the restroom. Randy is a perfectionist, so your dental work will be done right. He also has a great sense of humor, which keeps conversations fun and interesting. I highly recommend Canyon View Dentistry. He has another office in Chino Hills as well. read more

I have always had a phobia about going to the dentist. We've been going to Dr Agnew for 5 years and he is the best dentist we've ever had. When we've had emergencies he always makes time to help and work around our schedules. We have 5 children that also go to Dr Agnew and he has performed pain free procedures for us all. I have had 5 dentists over 35 years in California and Dr Agnew is the best of them all. The others made me nervous but Dr Agnew is confident and calm. He is very professional, works quickly and calm and I am so surprised every time he has finished before I thought he was done. In and out - ready to go. I hate prying my mouth open to have a dentist talk nervously, and he is noting like that. He is very calm and relaxed, professional and kind. I have even had dentists damage my teeth to get more business from me, but I don't have to worry about that here. He is honest and willing to work with me to get the work I need done. I had all my metal fillings replaced in about a year and his work is superb. He is the best thing that ever happened to my teeth. He is very good at his work. Terrible accounting. They refuse to send a regular bill with total cost minus amount insurance paid minus what I already paid and total due if any. They just keep harassing me saying they want more money and I didn't receive their first request until months after service was rendered by the way. The dentist seems good but incompetent staff. I won't be back and I refuse to pay until they provide proper accounting like (I don't know) every other legitimate business in the US. read more

Absolutely the worst experience ever. They have you sign your life away that you will not come back and sue them for any reason. They stop in the middle of a procedure, when dentist finds he has more involved work to be finished, and have you sign more papers stating you will pay at end of finished treatment. Will never return! Good work, but expensive, $2000 for three teeth (above insurance price), front office rude, and be prepared to sign. read more

Dr. Agnew is Great! After having a few bad experiences with 2 other local Dentists and being pretty uncomfortable with dental work to begin with, Dr Agnew really made me feel at ease. His front and back staff are great. They went out of their way to put together quotes for the work needed, and arrange financing for what my insurance did not cover. Dr Agnew took the time to explain everything and you could tell he was a real perfectionist. After my dental work was complete I saw his Hygienist for a deep cleaning. She was amazing. I would highly recommend Dr. Randy Agnew at Canyon View Dentistry to everyone. To start, I am not a patient of this office. I contacted them when I couldn't get a hold of my own dentist so that I could have emergency help getting laser treatment for a very bad cold sore. My own dentist had said they would try and get me in, forgot about me, and were closed the next day so I was desperate. I called early in the morning, and they literally had me in the chair within 2 hours. Again, I am not a patient here so I was amazed! The receptionist was so nice and accomodating. Dr. Agnew really did a thorough job and the areas that he lasered for me were healing and looking 10 times better within 2 days. He was pleasant and courteous and professional, and so were his entire staff. I can't recommend this office enough. read more
