Best RV park I've ever stayed at. Bathrooms are private and clean. Staff is nice and helpful. We highly recommend and will be back!

Get ready for rules, rules, rules. I have been traveling for 2 years and have never seen so many rule signs about every little thing. From the pool, to the bathroom, to the playground, yet no one abides by any and I can't blame them for how much it costs. There are A LOT of sports teams that come through here and they are terrible. They let their kids do anything, run around and destroy things and run through your campground. This place is the most expensive place I have been, well over $1600 a month plus power if you should happen to stay longer than anticipated and they STILL charge for some kid activities..like how is that not included?! $2 for rock painting, $1 for ice cream socials and ALWAYS have a tip jar out. They nickel and dime you for everything and won't tell you about it until after. Anything after 45 days here they charge you $5 per DAY for mail service. I didn't know til after. Their store is extremely overpriced to be expected. Bathroom toilets never work. The showers you only get for 15 minutes..there is a timer that beeps every minute which is quite stressful. The pool, hot tub and splash pad are always being worked on and in repairs. This place is far from a resort, stay away. I do not recommend and won't be putting any positives today. read more

We just moved from California Ana had our first night in Colorado at this wonderful RV resort. We got there kind of late but the check in went smoothly and we were escorted to our site. Our space was R3 and it was nice and clean Ana even had a private dog run for our pups. The bathroom facilities were pleasantly clean and and a perfect size to get in a real shower and clean up before we hit the road. All in all, our first night in Colorado was a success and we will most likely come back and stay here again read more

Canyon View RV Park is one of the cleanest campgrounds we have seen in quite a while. The amenities are amazing. Several single full bathrooms are available for campers. The pool was very refreshing. The sites are set up so the sun/heat can be daunting, but with air conditioning and window covers we were pretty comfortable. It cools down nicely at night! Very close to the Colorado National Monument. We also took two day trips; one to Arches National Pake and one to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison National Park. We had a one night stop over on our way thru Grand Junction area and saw this RV park near the interstate and we were very impressed with our stay! So the wife and I found a new Travel trailer we wanted to purchase and it was located in Grand Junction. Being that we are from Salt Lake City, we wanted to make sure everything was running smoothly so we booked a couple of nights here at the Canyon View. This is a very nice place. Way more booshie than where we normally stay (state parks or boondocking). The staff was extremely friendly and kind. The facilities were fantastic. I did not partake in the hot tub but my daughter and wife did and they said it was excellent as well. I should of taken a few more pictures but we were more focused on getting the new RV set up and testing all the things to make sure they worked. Some of the sites have a small I would say 10'x10' by 3 feet high fenced dog run with that site. They have 2 dog parks to let the dogs run free. The base wi-fi seamed fine for what little I connected to it, and my 12 year old did not complain about it so tik-tok works :P. read more

I am a nearby resident to this new Good Sam Park. When they opened I asked if they provided propane fuel service to non guests. They welcomed my business and I filled my RV tank on my motor home several times with competence. I appreciated the convince. THAT ENDED TODAY. I waited for someone to arrive at the propane fueling area. That employee said he couldn't fill my motorhome. That someone else had tightened the adapters with a wrench and he couldn't change fittings. When he saw I was less than happy with that he said he would get someone else. Afteranother wait and he came back with a new employee. This guy was less then happy with the adapters he found. He went in the nearby shop as I waited and repaired/loosened the adapters. Then he showed the first employee how to fill a motor home tank. WHAT! I get an employee that knows a service item is broken/messed up/not useable and he hasn't reported it or fixed it. Then it is obvious he needs the other employee to show him how to use it. This is service? I hold management responsible for not training their employees and assuring their equipment is functional. Buyer beware of this service. CV may send an inept employee to service your expensive motor home. Good Sam members should expect more. Disclaimer: I have no knowledge or experience with the camping experience. This review is about only the propane service I experienced. read more

It's really a shame that I can't give this place a better review. It's well manicured, but the people were a bit less than friendly and the rules are ridiculous. My mom lives nearby and wanted to see our RV set up. CV wanted $10 per visitor. !0 bucks for my mom to pop in? The lighting in this place was installed without thoughtful planning. If you walk to the restrooms or even look in that direction at night you are blinded by spotlights. These obnoxious lights are blinding. I was really looking forward to using the swimming pool, but they failed to tell us before we paid that it was inoperable. The showers and restrooms were clean, but most people could not figure out how to use the showers. This is just plain ignorance or laziness on the management of this place. They installed a timed shower system which you have to engage before turning the water on. You have to look at the small print below the shower head which is 7 feet from the ground. It says push this button before starting shower. You can't see this small writing up so high unless you are 6'3" tall like me, have your reading glasses, or you have a step ladder. Not a bit user friendly. That is not even the worse part! The showers are so slow to heat that by the time it gets hot the loud beeps start to let you know your time is almost up. Stressful! There is absolutely no privacy from other campers. For being so expensive compared to other RV resorts I really expected more. Even though I have family in GJ, I doubt that I will come back unless changes are made. I feel I overpaid for a poorly run "resort that doesn't even have cable. read more

First this RV park is pretty well laid out. The spaces are good sized. That's the good. They have an excessive amount of rules and additional charges. Extra charges for early check in, late check in and if you reserve a certain space the only way to guarantee it is to pay an extra $25.00. Please! The place itself in very close proximity to the freeway and is extremely noisy. We did our laundry here and there was dog hair all over the inside of the washers and dryers. When we told the front desk they gave us a look like what do you want us to do about it. Then they said it's best to do laundry in the morning. ?? I would never stay here again. On top of everything else it's super expensive especially for what you get and the freeway noise Etc. read more

I would give them a zero if I could! Booked our spot months in advance and specifically because they advertised large sites! We tandem pull two trailers and have stayed across town at RV Ranch for years with out issues! We thought it would be fun to try a new park! The reservation process went smoothly and she understood what we required when booking.. I told her we would be traveling from Vegas and would arrive late! We have arrived at many parks across the country after hours and they all are accommodating.. This Resort however requires everything on their timeline and will begin calling you on reservation day with attitude about your eta.. We even confirmed through their online the day before so they new we would be there.. At the time of their call our eta was 30 minutes past their office ours.. She lectured us about arriving late but gave us a number to call on arriving for a mandatory escort to our site.. She repeated the resort is new and they didn't want us to damage anything on our entry! I think that the word Resort in their park name may be causing them to think we can't drive or handle our expensive rigs without supervision! I'm sure the first time that damage occurs with supervision they will still want us to pay so why make it mandatory. It's an RV park and not a China shop.. Fast forward to the day of our reservation and around 5 pm a near fatal accident closed the highway 10 cars in front of us with no detour for over three hours... Our ETA was now even later so we called to let them know! They stated to still call for a guide into the "Resort" again stating it is new and they don't want us to damage anything. Here is the issue that caused a bad accident delay to make a bad night of travel even worse for us! They called us and canceled our reservation because of our delay while we were in route. We have never in our many years of travel had such a bad response to late arrival.. No apology, just we can't help you! Unbelievable for any park to cause more stress to a weary traveler and call them hours before arrival and after we had sat on the highway for hours! We will never stay here or recommend Canyon View RV Resort and even go so far as warning the RV Community to stay clear!! These folks are clearly not experienced with the needs of RV travelers!! Again unless you really like to be told what time to arrive and don't break anything I would just stay at the RV Ranch across town and avoid the hassle! Fortunately for us we found a great old park called Shady acres within 30 minutes that was more than accommodating to our situation and rig!! Many other travelers showed up to this park and got spots!! I can only imagine what would have been Canyon View Resorts response to guests with or without reservation showing up at their gates.. read more

This was a perfect RV spot park for us. Very dog friendly! They gave our pup a welcome treat, a fence doggie area and grass on each site. Very clean/modern bathrooms. Staff extremely friendly and it is quiet. A little pricey, but we'd pay to stay there again. read more

I wasn't going to leave a review but after staff was rude to me I figured I probably should warn other potential RV "guests"... This style of RV camping is not my cup of tea it's a little to "Johnny Law!" For me but I will start with the good. The park is fresh and clean. The sites have a fire ring and a rv sized personal lawn. It's nice to have a little buffer space between you and the next trailer. There is no privacy or mature trees between you and the neighbors in any direction but the park is new. I have been in parks where you can't pop out your slide out without being in your neighbors picnic table. The pool & splash park were refreshing since the weather was in the 100's. There are shaded outdoor community areas near the pickle ball court and pool. Everything looks pristine and perfectly planned out. I was actually able to use the WiFi unlike most parks. The thing I liked the most about our site was that we could fit our 34' rv and our towed car without unhitching. Now for the not so good. I think this place is best suited for rich old RVer's... People that like sterile lifeless places with no character. We didn't read reviews before coming to this place but after reading them I have to agree with all the negative remarks. This is a Large Rv park so the public bathrooms are far away. Lighting in the park is pretty sparse at night. The park boasts of showers, laundry mat, rec room, pool and Etc. But you no longer have a access to these after the office closes at 8pm. The last load of laundry has to be in by 6 or 6:30pm... If you plan on coasting into this park after hours and doing a load of laundry forget it. Access to the pool is through office so no sneaking into the pool after hours; the pool is enclosed by a 8' fence and it looked like it had locking pool cover. I'm usually not a rule breaker but sometimes it's nice to take a quick dip to cool off after being on the road all day. The shower thing is real strange... My wife is 5'-1" tall, she had to jump to press the start button on the 15min timer for the shower. I had a chuckle when I seen the name on the timer "Shower Boss"!!! Why dose a shower have to have a timer anyways??! Good luck old people or kids with taking a shower on your own. It was a bit stressful hearing the timer beep every minute and then beeping every second for the last 10-15 seconds like it was a bomb or something. The shower I was in had the shower wall on the wrong side and all the water splashed onto the floor and made it difficult to get dressed. Yes management guides you into your site and is very particular you only stay on the proper colored rock. As for the rules of this park, this park has every rule of every park you have visited all combined into one park making a KOA looking like a lax park. We even broke a rule before we got to the park... You must declare and plead your case if your RV is over 15 years old. The park butts up to the freeway and I had to turn on my central air fan just to drone out the noise. Surrounding the park are fields and a run down industrial feel. I think the biggest gripe I have with the place is how sterile and Johnny Law the place is; it's not very relaxing for me. For example I was taking my 4yr old daughter to the playground and she was riding her bike. My daughter ditched her bike at the sidewalk. Like a responsible parent I decided to push her bike in off the sidewalk / street to get it out of the way. Just as I'm doing this a lady driving by stops and rolls down her window to yell at me that no bikes are allowed near the playground... Me perplexed about this lady scolding me I try to explain I am just trying to move the bike out of the way. She wasn't having any of it and told me to move the bike back into the sidewalk. What kind of strange power trip rule is that? No bikes near a playground?? We were the only people in the whole park. She ended up being the resident staff in the small house facing the park at the head of the park. Then she continued to watch us like a hawk till we left the park. The situation was very awkward, uncomfortable & rude. The lady could have nicely asked us to set the bike aside rather than rudely barking at me and staring at me like a barn owl for the next 15 minutes. As people have mentioned this place has rules for everything and they strictly enforce them. This RV campground is best fit for old people with lots of money that don't come out of there RV's. read more

We arrived at this much hyped RV "resort" knowing that the pool was yet to open because the owner had called us prior to arrival. We were a little disappointed because our large price tag stayed the same despite all of the amenities not being available. Little did we know that was just the tip of the iceberg. Advertised was a private dog run at our site. This consisted of a fence around some gravel large enough for small dogs to sit and move about a bit. Advertised as a "resort" yet does not offer cable for television and the owner stated that it was not going to be offered at any time in the future... "but we do have high speed internet". All of the bathrooms were either closed or being worked on... no showers were available. The playground is for tiny children only... older children have nothing to do at this "resort". The store was empty and had no supplies, food or souvenirs... nothing had been moved in yet. I understand that they are brand new... but with a price tag of 85.00 per night, they should have either waited to open so that they could offer "resort" - type amenities for that price... or deeply discounted our stay. Maybe those who visit a year from now when they are up and going will have a better experience. The place has a beauty for those who like no trees and a desert type atmosphere. On a side note... I went in to ask what the prices were for extended stay and the lady at the front counter stated, "go online and look it up." Luckily there was another lady there who gave us the price we were seeking. Customer service was lacking. read more

Perfect for our two night stay. Easy to navigate in our 40 foot rv towing a Jeep grand Cherokee. Park is immaculate and very thoughtfully designed to accommodate everyone's needs. Some spaces are designed to be accessible for persons with disabilities. Also,some sites even have their own private dog runs. (The park itself boasts two common area well maintained dog areas). The park also has a privacy fence separating the short term sites from the extended stay sites. I appreciate this as a short term renter I did not feel as if I were encroaching on someone's space who had settled in for a longer stay. Staff was friendly and accommodating and the grounds were immaculately tended ( even the decorative landscaping gravel next to the rv spaces was raked to look pristine). Very well run and well designed rv park. Bravo! read more

I stayed here for three days visiting family. The park is brand new which is nice but our site had no grass, just dirt. We were asked to stay out of it to allow it to grow. Kinda hard with kids running around to try to keep them out of it. Pool, splash pad and playground nice features for kids. Most of the clubhouse/ store are unfinished, so if you needed anything you will need to travel to the grocery store down the road. Trees are still small so no shade at this park, try to pick a site that gets shade in the evening so you can enjoy the outside without the sun beating down on you. The price should be lower because of the unfinished clubhouse, grass and at the time pickle ball court. read more

I have found the people that work here live here and are a joy to be around. Love there commute and friendliness. There is a turn over of staff only because of employing residents, which is awesome for something extra to do. Management is around and helpful, also on sight. Due to a death in our family we had to cancel our reservation the day after we booked it.. but since that was within 15 days, the resort wouldn't issue us a full refund. That's right, they require 15 days notice to avoid a 50% cancellation fee. read more

Although due to the newness of the park there were few shade trees. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the park was immaculate inside and out. Daily on site trash pickup, clean functioning laundry room. When those shade trees grow up and provide shade the park will be perfect. read more

Fantastic RV park that was recommended by some friends. Newly established RV park, large sites with clean concrete pads and large grass areas at each site. Multiple dog parks that wore our dogs out. Fantastic shower rooms, store, and patio areas for people to gather. Large park area for Volleyball, soccer, pickle ball, and frisbee. Owners were great to meet and willing to ensure we had a great time, will definitely be back. read more

EXCELLENT RV resort!!! We made an unexpected stop in Grand Junction for some truck repairs. We are so thankful that we found Canyon View RV Resort. The owners personally helped us secure a spot for a few nights that would allow us to get our truck worked on at the Chevy dealer. The resort is brand new, with paved roads, level spots, concrete pads, fire pits, the best bathrooms we've ever seen at a campground, nice laundry room, and very nice pool, pickle ball court, playground, cornhole, etc. The areas for our dog were very nice too, with a dog treat at check-in. It is in a very good location, close to gas and grocery stores, restaurants, a mall, and nice views of the mountains. Easy access from I-70. We highly recommend this campground to anyone passing thru Grand Junction. PS: we're experienced RVers and have stayed at a ton of campgrounds. My time at Canyon View RV resort is almost over. My awesome pickle ball lessons have ended with great sadness. The excellent teachers " J.J. & Sheryl are heading back to CA. I learned a lot in 2 1/2 months and can't wait to play when I get to Apache Junction Az. I intend to play a lot and make them proud. The resort has been a joy to live in the past 3 months. A great place to stay on our last night of fall break! Super clean and dog friendly. They even have dog treats for your pups when you check in - a nice touch. The sites are big and it was so nice to have a manicured plot of grass on our site after having stayed at RV parks in Utah where we were surrounded by red mud (and paying a premium). The showers were some of the nicest I have seen and the instructions for the shower were on the back of the door. 15 minutes beats the heck out of token showers! And the timer resets after 5 minutes, though I don't know why you would need more than 15. Plenty of activities for the kids and a lounge area in the main office. Store was stocked. Very close to shopping/restaurants/hospital - everything you could need. read more

The resort itself is beautiful, I concur with previous reviews there are to many rule; and the staff is argumentative. We arrived 2 hours early, extra $25, we paid it. I had picked up a step rug from their small shop it was marked one price when we went to pay it rang up $15 more, owner wouldn't honor the price even though it was the only rug and only price tag on the shelf. Ok, we chose not to buy it. They do give cute dog treat bags, but it's complete with all the rules for your dog including not to use the grass... the deal breaker for us was as we were leaving the the husband/owner had left his maintenance cart in the way of us departing safely. We ask him a total of 4 times to move his cart so we could leave, he told is we would be fine (we have a 44ft 5th wheel and a F450 dually) my husband said I don't think you appreciate how big we are, he once again said we would be fine. We asked a total of 4 times for him the move the cart. Finally when I took his picture of the weed eater hanging over the side of the cart and my husband got out of the truck did he move it. We stopped at the office on the way out, his wife just made excuses and assured us he was trying to help. We enjoyed the area, we still definitely stay elsewhere next time. read more
