Loved everything about this stop. Clean, flat, spacious areas for camper as well as easy access to grassy areas. I liked having an EV charger on site, clean bathrooms, showers and laundry room. I didn't stay in the cabins, but it seemed popular on our visit and appears to be in great condition from the outside. I thought the proximity to the highway would be loud, but we enjoyed a quiet evening of rest and relaxation. read more

Clean campground & facilities, amenities galore and family-oriented activities makes this KOA a great place to spend a few nights. Swimming pool, family yard games such as mini golf, connect four, picnic tables, bounce house, pedal cycles, there is so much to do. Extra touches like a clean kitchen sink for dishes and food prep in the common area, dog runs and a separate EV vehicle chargers ($) really sets this campground apart from other places. We reserved a premium site and we got dead grass, even with a sprinkler system...Loud PA talking and noises from the adjacent rodeo at the fairground behind our fence. Loud traffic noise... Unlevel site - it was off 4 1/2 inches. The 'dog park" is a strip of fenced off dirt. We asked to change sites, but none available. The laundromat was great. It was clean with multiple units. The front desk attendant was kind and helpful. I even played mini golf while the clothes washed and dried. The fair noise shut off about 10pm, but the traffic noise continued throughout the night and the trash collector arrived at the break of dawn . I'm glad we came here, and glad to leave to my next state park. read more

Nice facility, but not friendly staff and they have something against dogs. Was just sitting in a bench minding our business and the lady really laid into me for having the dog with me (she was just laying at my feet) because we were "in the playground". I was watching my kids jumping. "I've warned your family before" well apparently she told my husband my bad for not knowing everything told to him. I've never heard of dogs not being around playgrounds before. I do believe we even paid extra to have our dog so what gives? Families include our beloved pets. And no need to be so rude when explaining rules read more

This about as good as it gets for KOA. Helpful and friendly staff, clean facility, fun activities, lots of ways to camp. My family has stayed in the cabins a few times and always had a pleasant stay. The pool is clean, which the kids enjoy. They do G/PG movies in the summer evenings for families, and the mini golf is basic but fun for the kids. We stayed at the large furnished deluxe cabin this time which was brand new this season. Really nice place for a big family at a reasonable rate given the options in Grand Junction. The master bed is very soft, so if you have a bad back, it could be a problem for you. Hotel owners regularly tell me people prefer the soft mattresses, so I must be the minority. The cabin was stocked with most things you would need to cook and eat, as well as linens and pillows for five. If you have 6 in your group, bring extra pillows. read more

We enjoyed our time in Grand Junction. The KOA was located on the south end of the city and was about a 10-15 minute drive to do just about anything. Located next to the fairgrounds, we got to hear horses and watch some being trained throughout the day. Sites are pretty close together and all utilities worked without issue. TMobile service was good enough that we didn't have to take out our Starlink, although, it probably would have been fine as there were no huge tree's blocking our particular site. Didn't utilized the bathrooms/showers/etc... We did notice a lack of kids for a KOA. We have 8 and 10 year olds and during our 5 day stay, I'm not sure they ever found kids to play with. A very transient CG with most people only stay 1 or 2 nights at most. CG at any given time was never more than 1/3 full. Staff was excellent, and gave us a larger discount than your average KOA 10% off. We camped at Grand Junction KOA Holiday in a Fifth Wheel. read more

Cost/Benefit Analysis: Good value for cost. I recommend this establishment. This campground was entirely suitable and reasonably clean. Site substrate was rock and gravel--no cement. The shower/bathroom was adequate. However, it did not meet my personal standard of cleanliness. The tile edge on the shower was not bull-nosed. It was not beveled. It was not finished with grout or stainless steel retainer. Without my glasses-on I miss-judged the distance and shaved off the back of my heel--It took nearly a week to heal. Cost/Benefit Analysis: Good value for cost. I recommend this establishment. read more

Just walked out after receiving too much attitude at check in. We don't look like vagrants and clearly drive a nice rig, so why not let us pee first? Well, the lady wouldn't give us the code to use the bathroom and she was obviously in a bad mood, which she took out on us. We stayed at their deluxe cabin (sleeps 4) and we were very happy with our stay. Very comfortable for our family of 4. Very clean, has most of what we needed for our stay. Lots of nice little touches that we appreciated, eg multiple hooks, comfortable and clean beddings, pots and pans, soft towels. The playground was perfect for our kids. They enjoyed the mini golf, jumpy, game room. We didn't get to try the pool but saw a lot of people enjoying it. Everyone was super nice! Would highly recommend it for others. read more

Gabby (sorry if I misspelled the name) who works here is fantastic. There are few people in the service industry who can stay cheerful and kind with every single guest and she's one of those people. Had a few issues with my tent spot (couldn't charge anything) and propane (maybe trash?)guy woke me up at 8am since I was RIGHT next to trash bins and propane tank. But wasn't a big deal. I give two stars because of customer service. (Front desk customer service- one lady in particular, not sure her name). No welcoming greet, no smile, and absolutely no help. We have stayed here before and loved the camp sites/ amenities but got treated like dirt when trying to book recently. Customer service will make or break a business for me and my family and from here on out on our yearly trip we will no longer stay here because of it. read more

Traveling full-time in a 42-foot coach we have stayed in over 400 RV Parks, we stayed here 8 nights during August 2019. This was our second time staying here. (1) Clean, quiet and well-maintained park with great amenities is what you will find here along with a very friendly staff. (2) We live in the age of WIFI technology and there is nothing to stop any RV Park across this country from investing in doing WIFI properly. This park receives 5-stars for their great WIFI. (3) Level pads, big coaches need paved or thick gravel pads that are level. We give this park a 5-star rating in this category for having thick gravel pads. All sites have a nice grass area, a brick patio, and are equipped with a picnic table and fire pit, which was great for relaxing outside the RV. (4) Maneuverability, some parks have very narrow roads which make backing up and turning difficult. Not here, the roads are plenty wide. We had no trouble while towing our car. (5) Dust, some parks are so dusty that even after short stays your unit needs a bath, not here, the dust on our coach was very minimal compared to many other parks. (6) Satellite, as you know satellite reception is very hard to receive when you have large trees. If you stay away from the sites with the tall trees to the south you will receive reception. (7) Phone Service, we have AT&T which worked great here. (8) Dog play and potty, plenty of room to walk your dog here with two fenced off-leash dog runs. Note: the fenced dog runs consist mainly of dirt and are great during the dry summer months, but during our first visit (wintertime) we found them to be muddy and avoided taking our dog into the fenced areas. read more

I was just loving this place, until they basically bullied me out for a complete fabrication. I had stayed here over a week and I checked out to tow my rig to the dealer for some repair, when I came back to stay an additional 3 days they accused me of not cleaning up my dog poo...they said they found ONE pile on the grass at my site! After seven days if I had not been cleaning up after my dog there certainly would have been more than one pile! So it's obvious I had cleaned it up...and as I said I checked out and came back....it could have been any dog!? I am very conscientious about cleaning up after my pet...I noticed a lot of dog poo piles in the dog run and around the park ....I even picked up poo in the run so my pet could play in there. I also witnessed children of other campers walking dogs and not cleaning up after them. I have no idea how they think they can say that was definitely from my pet! This is an absurd policy...and I am in complete disbelief at how I was treated by these people. I wouldn't spend a dollar of your hard earned money to support this kind of establishment. This KOA is a cut above most KOAs we have stayed at. Everything is well maintained and clean. The sites are all nearly level and easy to access. Very few semi-permanent residents. If you need a spot in town, this place is as good as you can expect. read more

Very disappointed! Very hot (92 degrees), early September and the pool was already CLOSED for the season!! The RV park we stayed in last night in Moab still had their pool open and many people were enjoying it - including us. On the positive side - nice wide sites, a lot of trees ( but NOT on the site they assigned us), nice clean restrooms, playground, small dog park area. They are also very stingy with their WiFi code! They gave us 2 codes but each one only works on 1 device - so I had to choose either my phone or my iPad - not both! My husband used the other one. read more

Great location with nice facilities, awesome staff, and spacious sites. What more can you ask for? 5 stars all day long and will definitely stay here again. Only downside, if you want to call it that, was that the Mesa fairgrounds is right beside the campground and they have events that go into the late evening(11pm loud speaker barrel racing for example) but other than that it was awesome and those late night events appear to be rare. read more

We had a RV pull thru site right next to the office. Because it was early February there was hardly anyone else here and maybe that is why the wifi worked so well! Park is located right off the highway and we had plenty of room to maneuver our 37 foot motorhome around the park. Nice patch of grass for relaxing outside our RV. Spacious site with table and fire pit. Very clean and quiet park. Staff was very helpful and friendly! Will stay again if we come through Grand Junction. read more

Great location, and nice, easy pull through spots. Everything is very clean, and the laundry facilities are great. There are a ton of amenities for the kids, including a pool and mini golf and a playground. The cherry on top was when the front desk very kindly printed a couple of pages that I needed. It's tough when traveling long distances and you don't have some of the basic conveniences of back home, but they were so accommodating and pleasant. They saved my rear and didn't make me go hunt for a Kinko's. Hospitality at its finest, thank you! read more

Very small tent sites that are super close to each other. Feels like your camping in your backyard. Bathrooms were super clean, and the pool felt good, but it was pretty crowded. For being so far from I-70, not sure we add this to our favs. read more

This is a very nice KOA. The staff are very nice. The entire park is basically gravel. The pull through sites are level and wide. Each spot has a bit of grass with a fire pit and picnic table. They have a nice pool, cable TV with easy access to downtown Grand Junction. Would definitely recommend and if in the area again will return. read more

Nicely wooded, it appears they've made some substantial improvements during the Covid down time. Our spot had new lawn, privacy fencing, gas BBQ, patio furniture, and covered patio. We were in good proximity to the enclosed dog run. The facility had plenty of activities that we did not take advantage of, but for kids, it looked great. 35 ft Class A, towing, pull through spot. First time we stayed here and it is a nice location... They have a small dog run but nothing for our golden retrievers. We had to search out another dog park and found one at the city park. It is fantastic! One area for small dogs and one for large dogs. The one for our retrievers had a pond area that our dogs loved! We had a pull thru site and it was nice and shaded. We liked the grassy area and picnic area for each site and there was a reasonable distance between sites. People were friendly and helpful. We would stay here again but wifi needs to be updated. read more

My wife and I stayed in a one bedroom camping cabin for three nights in May 2016. Everything was awesome! Clean campground site with a great layout and well-organized. Bathrooms and showers were clean and conveniently located. In addition, the service was outstanding. Our AC unit wasn't working right when we checked in but the staff fixed it within 5 mins. The unit has a Small TV with a good selection of cable channels as well. Mini Fridge, gas grill, and free Internet were great features too. Especially for the price! Loved it! read more

We stayed in a rental unit (essentially a parked RV) at this KOA and it was perfect. The unit was really clean and well taken care of, plus there was a great little outdoor sitting area and fire pit. The staff was helpful and for the price I don't think you can find anything nicer! We would definitely stay again. read more
