We were able to check in early for a wedding party and the staff were all very nice. When we come back to palisade we know where to stay. The only thing we didn't enjoy was the wine from the winery next door, but we only tried 2. Also the happy hour at the bar is hard to beat!!

She seemed less than interested in our arrival. We'd arrived later in the evening. Our room was vey nice. Very comfortable. We decide to venture to the jacuzzi. No towels in the outside basket. We had to go inside to request clean towels. When the towels came out, we ask the young lady how to make the jets work in the jacuzzi? "Oh no, they're not working." No sorry, no other explanation, she just walked away. We did manage to get two jets working. It was pleasant. Breakfast was okay. Nothing special. The lady preparing the food was very nice. Checking out was easy and the young gentleman pleasant. Trouble started after we left. Our fault. We'd left our swimsuits in the closet. Have to say, 30 years of traveling we have left things behind in our hotels. Kids left toys, pillows, blankets.... It does happen. Not often! I called when we realized this, Tuesday after we'd departed. I explained we'd left our swim suits hanging in the closet. The woman said she'd check lost and found??? I'd given her our room #. She said the cleaners had not finished their rounds yet and to call back later. Okay then, but I just gave you the room number and told you where they were? Again our mistake, but where is the customer service? I was told to call back at the end of the day. I called at the end of the day. Great swimsuits found. I was then told the person who sends packages would be in touch in a day or two. Okay then.... Nope. I called again on Friday, giving the full two days for someone to call. I was then told the person is new and must have missed it. Okay, what now? Well, "you have to make a USPS for your package and we will send it on Thursday". What? "That's the day we send out mail". You cannot be serious. Why was I not told this when I initially called. I would not have to wait another week. Customer service is a big issue here. I should say severe lack of customer service! So disappointing. Yes we did get our suits. Again our fault for leaving them, but I never had such poor customer service.

Our stay here was good with some hiccups. The ethernet cable was broken in the room and they…read morereplaced it right away. And when I went to adjust the thermostat, it fell off the wall. It was missing screws and was loose. When I called the front desk, she asked if I wanted it fixed!??? Yep. The location is fantastic and you can walk to many restaurants, stores and other activities. We used to live in Grand Junction and decided to try this location instead of the Residence Inn. The room has a quiet heater and the A/C is a little louder but not bad. Hopefully the thermostat stays on the wall. The fridge is very small and no freezer. You have to push the button every 2 hours for cold. There is a microwave and a coffee maker. Very few hangers in the room - they really need more. We purchased more at Target. Our room was very clean. Housekeeping is on request (by 10am) or every 3rd day. The bed is comfortable but the elastic in the fitted sheet and mattress pad cover was worn and super stretchy. Every night it pulled off and folded in on me. After 2 nights I asked for a new fitted sheet and they put one on. It did the same thing and I don't move much at night. So annoying and I couldn't sleep properly when the sheet kept waking me up. Who designs these rooms? I always wonder at the poor decisions. The toilet area is separate and they added a hook to hang the hand towel. Right over the toilet paper so you can drip water on it. There was plenty of wall space on the right side of the sink. The shower shelf is too low so your toiletries stand in water and you have to bend to pick them up. The shower pressure was excellent - one of the best I have seen in a hotel. There is a bar in the lobby that usually has live music on Wednesdays and Fridays. The days were changed during our stay so we missed the music. There is a very small pool, a workout room with treadmills / steppers / free weights and a small business center. Internet via Ethernet was very fast and the enhanced via wi-fi was very good. Staff are friendly and responsive.

They moved me, but the humming continued all night.

He was very nice, seeing as we should've known when check in was already. When we met Sam and Judy, they were extremely hospitable and kind. Asking if there were any dietary restrictions for the breakfast, showing us our room and bathroom, and just making us feel at home. The place was spotlessly clean, and very nicely decorated. After being shown around, my man and I prepared to go for a hike. We found that there was no lock on the bedroom door, but I pointed out that it was a Bed and Breakfast, and there was a lock with a combination on the main door to the place itself. I wasn't too worried about the one other couple that was staying there, and I trusted the owners since this IS their business. They aren't going to be snooping through our stuff or stealing or they wouldn't still be in business. The bathroom for our room was huge, and the bedroom was comfy. The bed is really my only complaint. It wasn't very comfortable, and must've had a bedbug cover or something similar over the mattress, since I woke up with my back sweating a few times. But neither I nor my man were feeling very well for some reason on this day, so I don't know if a comfier bed would've made much of a difference. The breakfast the next morning was enjoyable and filling. Being a small Bed and Breakfast, the only time allotted for breakfast was 8 AM. This probably would've been a problem if we weren't planning on leaving pretty early to head to Moab the next day anyway, as I can't usually stomach breakfast until around 9 AM. So be prepared for an early, but really good, breakfast. Overall, I would definitely stay here again. The ambiance, food and lovely owners greatly outweighed the cost of a night's stay.

Junk on neighbors property is not appealing and really looks trashy! Bedroom not cleaned or freshened up each day. View advertised has been blocked by new housing project...need to update! Door to bedroom can not be locked when you are out for the day. Breakfast was okay, but nothing exciting! The owners were nice, and are trying hard to make a success of turning their home into a B&B. After staying in over 20 B & B establishments in several states, I can not recommend this place for a relaxing, restful stay!

I whipped out my apple express and plugged it into the data port. Nada. Hmmm maybe it's the port. I tried the laptop - nada. I ended up having to use my cell phones data which is SLOOOOW. So the next morning I packed up my bags and headed to breakfast thinking I'd eat and they could move me. After sitting through 20 minutes of some kind of religious ministries show they had on in the breakfast area (I much prefer CNN for breakfast) I went to the front desk and said I'd like to check out. I explained the internet issue and they said sorry have a nice trip. What? No "could I offer you another room? Did you try the data port?" anything? Nope. So I went next door to the Hampden and checked in. Same owner but maybe it's the guys from Hilton looking in on them the I's are dotted and the T's are crossed here. Both wifi and cat5. Yippeee! Hopefully CNN for breakfast!
