FRESH OUT THE CHICKEN'S BUTT EGGS (3.75 stars)…read more $12 for a dozen. This is NOT my go to farm for my fresh out the butt chicken eggs. But I've decided to try the eggs out because I didn't have time to drive north to get my fresh farm eggs and these people were conveniently at the neighborhood farmers market and thought their setup was catchier than vendor booths. Every time I buy fresh farm eggs I have to ask if they have been refrigerated and the vendor said "I don't think so" and felt the eggs. That immediately kind of made me question its true freshness. I like them not refrigerated yet - which allows eggs to be on counters for a few days without having to refrigerate but once refrigerate, must keep refrigerating. IF they already been refrigerated you have to keep them refrigerated. They say they have not but the sticker on the carton says "keep refrigerated" and said they have to put them on. I've had fresh farm eggs and I don't see stickers like that on their cartons. They say the eggs are "corn and soy free" meaning the chickens are free range and not fed corn or soy (I assume). At the time of purchase they just had brown eggs. This may sound weird but I like to smell the shell of the fresh farm eggs. I know what you're thinking "gross smells like chicken a55".... The ones I have bought do not but they have an inquiring smell but definitely different from store bought eggs. I would say $12 is pricy as I have had very good farm eggs for a few dollars cheaper. Some textures I've noticed as each farm eggs are to their own... - SIZE - bought large eggs and they were average large egg size - SHELL - brown and not as fragile as I've had but still fragile yet sturdy - YOLK - yellow, not too faint and not too yellow. I prefer my raw yolk to have little more richer yellow color - TASTE - at the moment, only had them boiled and they taste fresher than store bought for sure. I'm not in a rush to buy these eggs but I'm also not turning away from them either. Until the next dozen....

It is clear the entire team cares for the horses' well being. I travel often for my job and I don't have any concerns or hesitations that my horse isn't being taken care of while I'm gone. Tobey is very communicative and accommodating. A few months ago a larger stall opened up and it was an easy transition to the new stall. Since I've been boarding here, a few renovations and updates to the property have taken place, leaving the ranch one step closer to Tobey's vision for the space. I have spent the most time with Nyna between lessons, trail time and just running into her while at the barn. She is the life force of the ranch and keeps feedings, stall cleanings, lessons, farrier and vet appointments organized. She has spent a lot of time with my horse during lessons and turn out time. I can't see me or my horse boarding anywhere else. Thank you Olivewood Acres!

Tobey is an amazing facility owner; always looking for ways to improve the facility and make the property better for the horses. And Nyna, who takes care of many of the senior horses, loves them as if they were her own. She went to check on one of my boys later in the evening, and thanks to her observation and gut instinct, she noticed my 30 year old was not doing well. She called me and the vet, and thanks to her diligence, he was able to get the best possible care and endured the least amount of suffering. She even stayed by my side the whole time, along with Tobey coming out to check on us. I can't thank Olivewood enough for all they have done for my retired boys.

Our food came a few minutes after we ordered. Our waitress, Karla, was absolutely amazing! She gave us great recommendations, explained each menu item in detail, had the best energy, and provided top-notch customer service from start to finish! Outside of the restaurant, there are two doors where you can pick up take-out and dine-in. The restaurant inside is spacious, plenty of seating of booths and there's also outdoor dining. For the food orders, I had the BBQ combo with the choice of BBQ Brisket and BBQ Tri-Tip with a side of mashed potatoes. The combo came with two different bbq dipping sauces. The first one was a cherry tomato which made it smoky and sweet while the other is the original that is tangy and smoky. I preferred the original. My best friend had the BBQ Tri-Tip Sandwich with a side of corn on the cob and butter. We also received fresh baked garlic rolls which was a good start for an appetizer. The garlic rolls were one of the highlights for my best friend. It has olive oil, parsley, and garlic. Everything was delicious! This place is definitely on the higher end price-wise, but the food, service, and overall experience made it well worth it. We'll definitely be back, and I highly recommend checking it out with family and friends!

We have now decided that we stop at Ranch 45 to pickup food and take it with us to Carruth. Staple food item is the Pastrami sandwich and fries!!! the burger is oh so tasty also... i recently go the wedge salad and added steak (OMG!) you can't go wrong with any of these... only hitch about the salad and steak is that it wasn't easy eating out of a box and using a plastic utensils...i think i would have rather had a beef kebob so i wouldn't have to deal with cutting the perfectly cooked, delicious steak. i'll keep coming back and try more items! hubby had the chicken sandwich recently and he loved it... we haven't dined it yet...takeout every time...maybe i'll hang out here soon

The rush happened after we placed our order, others who came after us got their food first and again Abby told me: we're busy. Thankfully, Nate was honest about our ticket getting lost and made things right. He was very apologetic and kind. I appreciated him so much.
