I have heard that a new bakery had opened in town and I am always up for having a tasty treat. The store is clean, open, welcoming with plenty of inside seating. Staff is nice, friendly, attentive and happy to answer any questions or make suggestions. They serve a variety of Cuban goodies which include pastries, cakes, croquetas, bread, sandwiches, Cuban entrees and coffee. With so many options to choose from, you will definitely find something to eat, snack on (like I did), satisfy your sweet tooth with a quesito or recharge with a cafecito. I tried their chicken croqueta, a quesito and a pandebono. Everything was fresh and delicious! I had not had a good quesito in a long time and Cao's definitely hit the spot! I love Cuban coffee and the iced coffee at Cao didn't disappoint! It was creamy, flavorful, and strong. I ordered mine with no additional flavor or sugar added and it was exactly how I wanted. However, if you like a sweeter coffee drink, definitely add some caramel and sugar. My boyfriend ordered his that way and it reminded me of any seasonal flavored iced latte you get at a cute coffee shop. I also picked up two pastries to go. One was the pastelito with guava y queso and the other was some sort of eclair cake. Both were phenomenal. The staff were friendly in taking my order and the food and drinks were ready to go within 5 mins. They do have some seating available inside and the parking lot is huge as it's located in a plaza with several other businesses. read more

(6miles) CAO bakeries are usually pretty good. #305 (NMB, Tampa, Broward) The meat pastellito was cold and dense. The empanada had been sitting for a while. Croquetas were ok! First of all the cafe itself is very cute and cozy, they look like they have lots of comfy seating, it smelled nice, appeared clean, and in general was inviting. The girl who helped me was very kind and helpful, she was so patient and sweet with me helping me pick out a good sampling of things to try and generally bubbly and made me want to try several things. All in all I brought home their croquette club sandwich, some empanadas, cafe con leche and a box of 6 of their pastries. Everything was seriously AMAZING! So tasty, so fresh, so like... it tasted like everything was baked fresh from scratch. The pastries were flaky and flavorful and delicious. The empanadas were definitely the best I've tried in town and the sandwich was SO good. And also we got a good amount of food for very decent prices. I stopped in late Sunday evening to buy baked goods on my way back home in Jacksonville Florida, thankfully I arrived an hour before closing. I bought all their remaining pasteles de guayaba con queso, empanadas & papas rellenas. For the ride home a cortadito w a pastel. Before getting in the car i bit into a heavenly pastel that had a phenomenal balance a firm yet soft dough and terrific ratio of guayaba to queso. Its been at least 10 yrs since I had one this good. The next morning I warmed the empanadas and my family loved our cuban breakfast. Pls open a store in Jacksonvile. I will be back on all my trips to Orlando.
