We arrived just after the lunch rush, which gave me time to really study the menu board... and wow, there were so many tempting options. I went with the Wobble savory crepe, loaded with turkey, chicken, mushrooms, onions, spinach, and tomato. They recommended the Cajun remoulade, but I swapped it for blue cheese--and let me tell you, that was an excellent call. An absolute home run. One of the things I really appreciated was being able to watch the crepes made from start to finish. Everything looked fresh, and they were more than happy to customize ingredients along the way--no hassle at all. The staff was pleasant and friendly, the dining area was spotless, and since the weather was perfect, we chose to eat on the patio, which made the experience even better. My only complaint? They don't have a location in Oklahoma! We do have a crepe spot back home, but I've never tried their savory crepes. My husband and I have passed the Crepevine several times and decided to give it a try. The Crepevine is located next to a string of other restaurants (in the same plaza as Twin Peaks) in Altamonte Springs, FL off of Semoran Blvd/SR 436. You place your order and then take a seat (or wait at the counter) while it's prepared after you inform the crepe creators of what you would like inside your crepe. I liked watching the process of making the crepe itself (before it's folded and stuffed) and the "stuffing" process reminded me a lot of when a pita is stuffed. My husband and I tried both savory and sweet crepes. The crepe creators accidentally messes up our sweet crepe, but they were quick to correct it. As far as taste, we both thought it was "just okay" with us favoring the sweet crepe over the savory ones. But, the restaurant is very clean with an open floor plan (you are able to watch them prepare the crepes from anywhere in the dining room. Outdoor seating is also available. Although nothing was really "wrong" with our final crepes, we just are not huge fans of the food here as there were no bold flavors - nothing that makes it stand out. Once we discovered this place it's been on a frequent rotation. I always get the Greek and my husband gets the wobbles, and we are always satisfied! We do find it odd that you only tell the first person what you want/any edits you want to make, instead of as you travel down the line, but whatever works for them. I also would love Kalamata olives instead of black for the greek (hoping that makes it in the options someday! lol) Sometimes with mine as well it gets soggy at the bottom because of the oil dripping down and being held by the paper, so if you don't like that then I'd suggest taking it off when you go to eat. We were there at 10:30 and it was pretty quiet and there were plenty of employees around ready to help. We ordered 3 total crepes, all savory. I thought it was relaxing to eat there and didn't feel rushed at all so we could eat and socialize. We did see people order sweet crepes that looked delicious so I will have to try those next time! It's listed as a $ eatery but my bill for the sandwich, chips and a drink & tip was $19. I'm thinking that's on the high end of a $ sign cost. The reason my sandwich tasted " different " I believe was because of their cleaning solution. When I walked in I def noticed a strong smell of cleaner. As I was eating I could taste the cleaner. They are adding a Southwest crepe with a black bean burger. I tried a modified version of it and thought it was awesome. The official version isn't on the menu yet but it will be arriving soon. Everything else is the same. The menu has a few other changes since my last review. My other favorite crepe is the Greek crepe followed by the Buffalo. I get they were on their lunch rush, but I'm still a customer. I was actually so taken aback by the absolute rudeness of the workers that I took a picture of them to show when I wrote the review, and then just never wrote it because I wanted to forget I had ever been here. However, I have posted the pictures here since yelp asked so nicely. I ordered a salad and a crepe with bananas Nutella and whipped cream. The salad was a standard greek salad, you could get the same thing from Panera with less attitude. The dessert crepe was dry, with some sliced bananas , a tiny bit of whipped cream and a drizzle of Nutella. It was PATHETIC. I've gotten better crepes on the SIDE OF THE ROAD in a food truck. How this place is still open, I am genuinely not sure. The location is a standard lunch place. The silverware dispenser or napkin dispenser was broken -- not sure which bevause it was awhile ago -- and my sister went up and told the guy in the picture about it and he gave her attitude and acted like she had broken it. She told him if she had broken it, she wouldn't have told him about it and to get her some silverware. This place is genuinely not worth the hype, and i will never be back because it's not worth the money or stress for dry, underwhelming crepes and unimpressive, sarcastic employees who can't even do the job right. The only issue is the pace of ordering, as while waiting for them to prepare the food the people to your right begin to also order too, so it forces you to move down the line even though your food isn't being prepped for your choice of ingredients. Also the 2.5" thick glass partition "protecting" the food from patron's spitting while ordering = way too thick = hard for employees to hear what you're saying when ordering.
