This is one of my new favorite spots! I absolutely loved it! Entering the building you couldn't even tell how big it was! It was so pretty inside. Very simple but great vibe overall. The staff was so kind and helpful even offering suggestions and brought our food and coffee right to the table. They even cleared our table when that wasn't something they had to do. They offer complimentary water that you can get yourself at any time. The food itself was delicious and I was most impressed with the Cuban coffee and the empanada as I normally only those items in Miami!

A very nice restaurant in Winter Park. According to their website, they want to "... modernize and responsibly curate classic Cuban café culture (including ventanitas, café con leche, and family recipes) in contemporary settings so these traditions can endure for future generations." This restaurant actually does a good job of doing just that. It is located just to the east of the Orange and S Orlando Ave in a very nicely refurbished older building. The parking is located on 2 sides of the building. You enter straight into the counter where you can order from their menu which is classic Cuban food. You order and pay at the counter. The appetizers (ham croquettes and papa rellanas, etc) were in a place by the counter and so we got those as we left the counter. Very smart in my opinion. They have several seating options to include a window bar to your right from the counter, some outside seating on a patio and a large inside area with benches with tables. The drinks and food came out quickly and were delivered to our table. We got 1/2 Cubans with Black beans and rice. They were very good as were the appetizers. The prices were very reasonable for the quality of food and amount. The staff was pleasant and the restaurant was very clean and bright. Overall, a very nice experiences that I would highly recommend to fellow travelers

Black Bean Deli never disappoints. No matter what location I go to, or if I dine in or carry out, they consistently deliver delicious food at an amazing price. I usually alternate between the salad with tuna and a picadillo empanada or the garbanzo bean soup with no rice and the yuca fries. This visit was the latter. We went on Saturday evening - they weren't busy and the service was fantastic. The staff kept coming to check on us to see if we needed anything and offered to take our plates away when we were done. The restaurant was nice and clean.

Chill space, quick service. I would most recommend the empanadas. They are pulled hot and fresh at the register when you order. If you need a quick bite an icy cold Natalie's juice and oversized empanada seems pretty perfect to me.

Black bean deli--both locations--have always been very solid choices for me, for years. My most recent visit to the Orange Ave location was no different. We ordered at the counter and the wait was quick. Our food took a little longer, but we did come during prime lunch hour. There was plenty of seating. The food was delicious and consistent as always--my medianoche was delightful and my friend enjoyed her meal, a bowl, as well. I appreciate that they carry Diet Coke cans, which is a preference for me as a Diet Coke snob! The parking at this location can be a little bit tricky but there are usually spots available, even during busy times.

I cannot wait to come back and try more foods here! I was only able to snack on the guava and cheese pastelito, which I found delicious. Great small snack before we hit the road! The cashier was welcoming which is a plus anytime I visit an establishment for the first time. It's definitely a cute spot. We didn't notice we could put away dishes until right before we left lol--it was just behind where we were sitting. Highlights Get the colada if you need a pick-me-up for you and a friend If you're wanting something refreshing, get Natalie's Guava Lemonade

This was my first time going to this location and I was pleasantly surprised that they had so much seating available, I'm use to going to the 50 location and it's tiny compared to this. When we entered we placed our order at the counter and were served our food. We ordered a cafe con leche and a guava pastelito to start and both were very good. The coffee was your average cafe con leche and the guava pastelito had the perfect amount of cheese with guava and was very light. The grilled cheese Cubano was toasted perfectly and had a good amount of cheese. The croqueta sandwich had great flavor and was a little dry but I still enjoyed it. The pricing for the food/drinks is very reasonable especially for the quality of food. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

Black Bean Deli is one of my go to cafes in Winter Park. I love all the plants everywhere and how delicious and affordable the food is! I ordered the media noche & two ham croquetas. Both items were so good! I love the sweet and savory tastes of both items! If you love cuban food, give it a try!

Stopped by the black bean deli for a quick lunch and I really enjoyed this spot. You order at the counter and then are given a number and your food is brought out to your table. I ordered the Havana pork bowl, my boyfriend order the Cuban sandwich, and a side of Maduros. We thankfully just beat the lunch rush when we arrived and our food came out rather quickly. The Havana bowl was huge and I ate about most of it minus the tomato's. The Cuban sandwich was huge and delicious. The Maduro side was a tower of plantains which was a nice surprise but not what I was expecting at all. We had to pack that up and bring it home. Inside was clean and typical seating with plants decorated around.

I've been wanting to find a good Cuban bakery somewhere in Orlando. Although this isn't a full throttle Cuban bakery... they do have the usual Cuban pastries here (empanadas, croquetas, etc.), and they are very decently priced and really good here! Any Cuban place that has a delicious green cilantro sauce has a place in my heart, but the fact that they also add avocado into their sauce here is amazing! My boyfriend and I came here for a quick dinner one night, and we weren't disappointed. The staff were very kind even though it was nearing closing time and were somewhat busy. We had some empanadas and croquetas as an appetizer then had the entrees that are pictured here. This is probably the best Cuban food that is in the Winter Park area. My only "complaint" is that my pork in the Havana Pork bowl was a tad bit dry (it's ok though because the magic green sauce fixes everything). It was the end of the day so maybe that's why? Next time I come, it'll be mostly for those pastries, coffee, and possibly a sandwich instead of an entree :)

Takeout from the Winter Park location: Baked Chicken Plate ($18) and the Havana Pork Plate ($18). Baked chicken had good flavor on the skin, a little on the dry side, but the green sauce balanced it out. Havana pork had great flavor and was even better with that same sauce. Both plates came with salad and plantains which were cooked to an excellent caramelization. You might get more quantity at a different Cuban restaurant but the food tastes lighter/cleaner and well-prepared here.

Black Bean Deli is basically my happy place for Orlando eats. Every bite feels like my Cuban/Colombian family's cooking got a chic little upgrade. The empanadas are rich, crispy, perfect. Iced café con leche is peak Cuban-gringo energy, and I'm here for it. Staff is always genuinely kind, and my go-to usually being a Cuban sandwich combo with rice and beans warms my little Hispanic heart every single time. Honestly, if I could breathe Black Bean Deli, I would.

I can't believe it's taken me this long to check out Black Bean Deli for lunch, but I made it! The outdoor seating was perfect for the day we chose, but the inside seating looked nice and casual as well. I had the Cuban sandwich, and it was both a great size and full of flavor! It was just what I wanted out of this classic sandwich, and I'm a sucker for anything with mustard and pickles. My colleagues enjoyed a few different bowls, and everyone left full and happy. Ordering was quick and efficient, and this made for a perfect lunch spot during the work week.

Baked Chicken Plate with white rice, sub fried yuca & sweet plantains! They absolutely hooked it up and this is my fav meal here

However, the sandwich didn't quite live up to what I remember. First, the staff deserves credit--their energy and kindness were 10/10. The person I interacted with was friendly and welcoming. The food itself was good, but I was disappointed that my order was made incorrectly. I specifically asked for only tomatoes and pickles on my burger, but it came with cheese and a sauce. Luckily, I was planning to eat just the patty, so I was able to rinse it off, but if I had intended to eat it as a regular burger, it would have completely ruined the meal as the bun was covered in the sauce. My sub was excellent, and I appreciated the staff's sauce recommendations. However, I was surprised that the homemade sauce came with a $1.10 charge for each side of sauce--that feels pretty excessive. To make matters worse, I didn't even receive one of the sauces I paid for. I understand they are homemade but it is a 1.5 oz container... My biggest disappointment, though, was the chips. It may sound minor, but when a meal is priced and advertised as a complete meal, you'd expect a reasonable portion. The "side" of chips was literally about seven whole chips' worth, mostly crushed into pieces. It was especially disappointing when compared to the portion of fries. Overall, the food has a lot of potential, and the staff was fantastic, but the incorrect order, extra sauce charges, missing sauce, and tiny chip portion really took away from the experience. My advice: upgrade the chips so you actually get a side, double-check your order before you leave (even if there's no one else in there) , and be aware that the sauces cost extra.

Incredibly disappointed in the TLB. I've been a fan for a long time, especially their dry aged…read moremeats, and am more than willing to pay for this type of product. Today, though, I noticed them selling Japanese Wagyu as: Sake Infused Dry Aged A9 Kobe Strip. This is a very scammy way of selling a product. First, meat is graded broadly on three scales - USDA (choice, prime), BMS (beef marbling scale - common in Aus), and the Japanese grading scale. (A1-A5, with most high end steaks being A4 or the gold standard, A5). https://meatnbone.com/blogs/the-clever-cleaver/meat-beef-grading-system-understanding A9 doesn't exist. A BMS 9 could be an A5. But this is mislabeled. They have also used the term A11 in their instagram account. Maybe they are confusing BMS for A-scale, or maybe they are intentionally trying to make their product seem better than competitors. Furthermore, not all Japanese Wagyu is Kobe beef. Kobe beef refers to Tajima cattle raised in Hyogo Japan. The export of this beef is highly regulated to only certain restaurants and purveyors, who will display a seal and certificate certifying the origin of the beef. It is rare, expensive, and most importantly, Bush Brothers (Local Butcher's wholesale purveyor) is not certified to sell, nor do they use in any way, the term Kobe Beef. So it is incredibly likely that this product is mislabeled. This isn't illegal (Kobe beef doesn't have a TM in the US), but it is disingenuous. https://www.kobe-niku.jp/en/contents/certification/index.html https://instagram.com/bushbros Next, "sake infused"is incredibly confusing. Is it referring to the myth that Kobe cattle are massaged with sake? Is it referred to the use of koji (fermented cooked rice) which is often used as an aging accelerant? Or did they really take Japanese Wagyu and infuse (inject, soak?) with sake? And why on earth would you do that!? It would be like making sangria with a bottle of DRC. This product is likely a A5 strip loin (which Bush Bros. does carry) that has been aged. Market price would be somewhere around $175-185/lb. (An unaged cut would be around $150/lb.) When I asked for more information on the most expensive cut of meat in their shop, I was treated with disdain and a dismissive attitude. Neither member of the staff could answer my questions other than to say "It's the highest grade of Kobe beef." To charge $215 dollars for a grade that doesn't exist, for a steak that isn't from Kobe, with an aging method that seems dubious at best, is disingenuous and plays on a lack of consumer knowledge. If The Local Butcher themselves don't know the differences here, they shouldn't sell this product. If they do, they should be ashamed of themselves.

She hung it proudly in her deli and thanked me for the gift. I thanked her for bringing authentic Polish food back into my life! I purchased the Polish kielbasa sausage again as well as the Polish ham. Both were exceptional the last time I purchased them. This time, I added frozen pierogies-one made with cheese and the other with sauerkraut. It reminded me of the pierogies my mom used to make, and I cannot wait to serve them for the holidays. I then asked Monica if she had any golabki (stuffed cabbage). She said, "I just made some fresh this morning." I purchased a package of three. It is a small store and unlike a lot of international markets the shelves are not jam packed with products. They have packaged groceries, prepared food and European cold cuts. I looked at some of the soups and gravy dry mixes. Some have stickers with English contents and instructions. They have spices with pictures on the package but one I thought looked like cilantro was a different herb in the marjoram family. They have made in house cabbage rolls. Fresh and frozen. Also frozen are hunter stew and soups. I was just going to get some cabbage rolls, bean soup and a couple of package products. However the very friendly staff member mentioned their cold cuts were one of their most popular items. She said many people shop there to buy their meats instead of the local grocery store. She offered to slice a sample of ham so I accepted. No wonder because it was delicious and I had to add some to my order. It tasted buttery with a hint of spice you find on Black Forest ham. My dogs were doing back flips from the aroma when I opened the package. Sorry pups all for me. Not everything has a price but like everything these day I imagine they are fluctuating.
