Found this random place in a strip mall with plenty of parking. It's like a small mom and pop place with outdoor seating. Music blasting from the patio. Only one person working to take your order, make your food and serve you. I got the special Cuban which is the original cubano but with lettuce and tomato. Also got the pizza and beef cheese empanada. Everything satisfied my craving. Until next time....

Came to Rey's Cuban Cafe while visiting Orlando Florida. I ordered ropa vieja and every bite was savory, the food was just on point!!! Great vibes and good service.

Pros: *good, authentic Cuban food *reasonable prices *welcoming environment *friendly staff *quick service style cafe, order at the counter *outdoor seating available Cons: *it was pretty hot inside the cafe so we moved outside to eat *staff immediately spoke Spanish to us which was fine since I do speak Spanish, but maybe not for someone else

Rey's Cuban Cafe is easily my favorite Cuban spot in the north Orlando area. The staff are always incredibly friendly and the food is consistently delicious. Food: this is authentic home-style cuban food, and you can taste that in every bite. My personal favorite menu item is the media noche (basically a cuban on sweet bread) - it is DELICIOUS. Every sandwich comes with a side of fries, but I always like to add on a side of congri (rice and beans). My second favorite item would have to be the empanadas in any flavor - they're all wonderful. Storefront: the cafe is tucked away in a Winn Dixie plaza in Casselberry. It doesn't look like much, but we all know the best food comes from those places. Customer service: the staff is always welcoming and friendly and the food always comes out rather quickly, usually within 15 minutes. If you're craving solid Cuban food, this is the spot to be!

I popped in to grab a few Cubans and empanadas to go and this place was packed! It was Saturday around lunch and they had a line out the door. The Cubans came with fries and were absolutely delicious! However, the empanada was the real winner. It was their beef empanada and not only was it huge, but seasoned to perfection and perfectly golden fried. Only suggestion would be to order the Cuban extra crispy. It could've used an extra minute or two under the press..

We were happy to find this little hole-in-a-wall type of spot for lunch. We were craving a Cuban Sandwich and hoped to hit the jackpot with Rey's Cafe. This restaurant is nestled within a strip mall that is pretty easy to miss and notice. Once inside, it's a very small and cozy and gives you that homestyle feel. The staff was friendly and welcoming, the food was very decent, and the prices were very fair. It's one of those places that lacks the extra fan-fare but hits big in the right places. The cuban Sandwich was good, but my only complaint was the Pernil. It seemed to be medium slices of pale pork which threw me off a bit. The fries were a small quantity of shoestring fries (which I do like). Overall, it's one of those mom and pop, family style places that just does what it's supposed to do, nothing more and nothing less. I enjoyed my experience and would definitely like to visit earlier next time for the breakfast (which looked and smelled good as I was being nosey and looking at the other customers tables).

We ordered a Cuban sandwich and a Cheesesteak sandwich. Both had very little on them and were disappointing. I would not recommend.

Updating this review from about seven years ago. I came to Reel Fish a while ago, and it was a…read moretruly awful experience. The skimpy amount of seafood I got was not good, not cooked well, or served with undercooked potatoes. It shook me. Especially for a Winter Park restaurant. After my five year statute of limitations passed on repeating restaurants, I looked for the perfect opportunity to come back and try again. I found that opportunity recently with a few friends for brunch. Their brunch menu looked amazing, so we made our reservation and came on by. Ambiance is actually really nice. Right off one of the main WP roads, gigantic windows look out upon the street as passersby roam from shop to shop. Inside looks like an ocean-side sea shack, but an upper middle class one. Very nice little ocean-themed chotchkies adorn the walls, very cozy. Service was also great. Very nice server, very prompt food delivery, and they gave complimentary bread with a delightful butter. I always adore free bread. We started off sharing the Seafood Fritters (Four savory puppies, stuffed with lobster, shrimp, scallops, clams, grouper, onions, corn, poblano peppers, served with a zesty tartar sauce). If all five of those seafoods really were in there, there must have been only a few molecules each, but there was undoubtedly flavors from most of that list, and they were accentuated with the poblano. Topped with that zesty tartar, and this was an A+ app. I had the Lobster Benedict Royale (Chunks of Maine lobster on fried green tomatoes & house-baked buttermilk biscuits, topped with poached eggs & Hollandaise, sprinkled with paprika & chopped green onions). This was indulgent. Pure luxury. A warm biscuit with a good flakiness, that fried green tomato with the perfect thickness and thin, delicate coating, and those perfectly cooked jumbo chunks of lobster on top, all covered in an unctuous Hollandaise. Exactly as it sounds, as advertised, the perfect seafood brunch item. I also got to try the Shrimp Frittata (Wild-caught Florida shrimp, fresh eggs, spinach, Campari tomatoes, goat cheese, caramelized onions, baked in a cast-iron skillet, with wheat toast, butter & a little mixed green salad). This was a fun dish. Good shrimps, well-cooked eggs, a nice tang from that goat, and of course a nice crunchy toast to help make it even more interesting. I didn't like that random salad on the side. Just get bigger cast irons and make the frittata bigger. Overall, what a redemption. I'm not sure what was wrong back in the day, but this is a five star place now that I will happily return to when it's time.

The birthday girl loves seafood and wanted to go back to Crafty Crab. We were greeted immediately upon entering and was ushered to a table near the bar. Since we were so close to the bar, it was only fitting that I had an alcoholic beverage so I chose the Strawberry Mojito. Farah was great! She answered all our questions about the menu and made recommendations. She checked in periodically to make sure we were okay. I already had dinner earlier in the evening and wasn't too hungry so I ordered appetizers to share with the table. I decided on the Hush Puppies and the Krab Rangoons. The Strawberry Mojito was great. It had a generous amount of liquor and mint leaves that complimented each other very well. The Hush Puppies were delicious! They had a great flavor and were cooked to perfection. Unfortunately I did not enjoy the Crab Rangoons. The pastry was ok but the cream cheese filling tasted different than what I am custom to having. The Celebrant did enjoy her seafood boil. She had Crab Legs and Shrimp with Potatoes and Corn on the Cob. Other members in our party also enjoyed their orders of Mozzarella Sticks, Crab Cakes, a Strawberry Lemonade and a Pina Colada.
