    Cuban bread
    Nicole P.

My mom was craving breakfast being delivered this morning. So I said let me see what UberEats has to offer and we tried out this bakery. I'm so glad we did because the food is delicious. I ordered the original. Everything was fresh and warm. My Cuban bread perfectly toasted and buttered. My eggs were good and seasoned. My fries were crispy and good plus my bacon. I would definitely order from them again and try other options. Also my cafe con leche was perfect. I definitely recommend them.

    Hello H.

Everything went well.I had the grilled chicken rice and beans and plantains. So delicious. The guava pastries are delectable. I bought four and ate two. And I gave the other 2 to 2 other people. They agreed with me.I ate in there. Then when i was leaving i got 4 more. That's how delicious they are. There's no comparison to any other place. Everything is made there. Everyone who worked there were so nice.I recommend this CAO to everyone. I know I've already reviewed this café, but I had to do it again because it's just too delicious. Everyone has to go try it.

We made a quick stop here for some goodies for the weekend. We got a couple of chocolate chip cookies, red Velvet cookies, and a small cupcake style piece of chocolate Bundt cake to try. Service was good, and the ambiance was homey. Glad this bakery is in our area.

This bakery is near our hotel and it was our saving grace because we love the food! we did not have to uber anywhere far to eat since this is a walking distance away from us. They have a variety of food to choose from. Ready to eat bread, cakes, and empanadas. I loved the milanesa chicken because of the great flavor and the affordable price! I loved everything at this restaurant that we went 3 times during our stay! :) You can practically eat here for breakfast, lunch, dinner and even just for snacks. Has tables and chairs to eat and tables comes with a fresh rose centerpiece! If you are vacationing near this area. check them out and you won't be disappointed.

This is probably the fanciest Cuban bakery I have ever seen with modern interior and flat screens and everything automated. Staff was super friendly and because end of the day I even got a freebie.

Love the option of ordering at the kiosk. Sometimes I'm indecisive and don't like the pressure of someone behind me. There are 2 kiosks. It has the option of paying there or the cashier. Plenty of options, very affordable prices. Inside was clean and comfortable. I did take a star off because I had to return both coffees due to them not being hot. Some of the food items like the beef empanada and dulce de leche pastelito were OK. The toast and elephant ears were soo good! So many options to choose from

The Medio dia is the perfect thing to order if you don't know what you want. It's savory, sweet, and a little salty--a perfect combination. Super cute cafe, too, with lots of options at an affordable price.

Our three little islands at NBV desperately needed a solid neighborhood cafe and bakery. The CAO Bakery & Cafe delivered. The iced coffees we had were refreshing, the breakfast croissant perfectly toasted and sweet , and the 6-pak bocaditos ham spread was the perfect aperitif while we waited. Look forward to years ahead for weekend brunch, takeout for the beach, catering for house parties, and cafecitos on the run.

Mi Cao favorito de todos: súper limpio, súper bonito, la comida súper rica y el café a la perfección. Las chicas que te atienden son encantadoras, Miriam, y todas las demás.

Needed to do errands in North Miami, so Little Havana came up as a place to go for Cubanos. It has…read morethree locations in Miami, with this one in North Miami being the original, opened in 1991. We dined in, and the visit blew away the food from the previous week. I really like Cuban sandwiches, so will be something my brother and I keep seeking out during short visits to Miami. We had a one-day rental car, so found Little Havana Restaurant, coming a bit after peak lunch time. It's on a major street, with surface angled parking in the back. There are a lot of wild birds in the area, with their guano being everywhere outside. It's a big dining area inside, and we were immediately directed to a prime location with views of their small lush adjacent green space, and the birds that live there. Elizabeth was our server, with water and complementary rolls being immediately offered by helpers. She and her team were great throughout, offering suggestions and bringing the food nice and hot. We ordered off the Happy Hour menu (11:30 - 18:00 M-F) and the Lunch Special Menu (11:30 - 16:00). We were greatly satisfied with every dish Shrimp in Garlic Sauce, appetizer size ($14.99) - 5 jumbo tail-on shrimp, sauteed in a scampi type sauce. It's what you expect when you douse good shrimp with a butter garlic sauce. The appetizer does not come with rice/beans, but we had plenty of it from the other dishes...loved spooning the sauce over the rice while eating. Roast Pork Lunch ($12.99) - what a deal. A dish of pulled pork with a big piece of fried pork skin on top...reminded me of the Filipino lechon, or even the Hawaiian kalua pork, with the tenderness of the mean. It came with a big scoop of rice and a bowl of red beans. Lamb Shank ($18.49) - This was recommended by Elizabeth when asked by my brother, what he shouldn't miss. It's a Cuban special, cooked in wine sauce. It was a big piece, still on the bone, coming with a big plate of rice and fried plantains. He enjoyed it, though he was struggling a bit at the end. Cuban Sandwich ($12.49) - A full size Cuban sandwich, cut in half. It had been grilled on a sandwich press with a little oil, resulting in the cuban bread being crispy at the top. It had the right mix of that same delicious pulled pork, along with ham, melted swiss, mustard and pickle slices. It was very good, great value for the price. Paying was done at the top, and we intentionally did not take any leftovers. There is a framed newspaper article from 1991 in the lobby, where you can read more about their origins.

They have such cute drinks! I just got pineapple juice but my friends got their coconut drink and mojito and said it was to die for! They give you these plantain chips to snack on and they are so good! It's got a sweet, salty, and crunchy chip texture to it. For an appetizer, we got a sampler which had ropa vieja, plantains, empanadas, shredded pork, and some large fried potatoes. I loved that so you get to try a little bit of everything. The ropa vieja tasted just like grandmas. They use ropa vieja as the filling in the empanadas. The fried potato's was steak fry cut style. It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Just how a perfect fry should taste! Everyone really liked the vaca frita! I think that's a must try! It's shredded beef marinated in this delicious citrus marinate. They fry it afterwards so it's pull apart, melt in your mount soft, with a nice crispy crunch to it. I think this is a must get dish. The desserts were delicious too! For a Friday evening, the restaurant wasn't particularly busy, but the ambiance was actually great. The music definitely added to the experience, especially some good Marc Anthony tunes in Spanish that I really enjoyed! The atmosphere was lively and gave us that Latin vibe we were hoping for. Our server, Diego, was incredibly attentive and really went above and beyond. At times it almost felt like he was trying too hard to make sure we were happy, but honestly, we appreciated the effort! We started with the empanadas and the avocado salad with chicken. The chicken on the salad was disappointing. It had the texture and appearance of previously frozen/reheated chicken rather than the freshly grilled chicken we were expecting. For our entrées, we tried both the steak and a chicken dish. Unfortunately, neither worked for us. Both lacked the flavor we were expecting and instead seemed to rely heavily on salt. We ended up not finishing either dish. The cocktails didn't save the evening either. I started with a lychee martini, which wasn't as good as I had hoped, followed by a Mai Tai that also could have been better. I also saw my drink being taste-tested twice at the bar before it was brought over, which admittedly left me a little unsure about drinking it afterward. And then... THE FLAN! Finally, something I can rave about. They make a VERY good flan, and it was easily the highlight of our dinner. That's all I'll say! :) Overall, the ambiance was great, the music was fun, Diego worked hard to make sure we were taken care of, and the flan was excellent. Unfortunately, when it came to the actual entrées and cocktails, the experience just didn't deliver for us. There are too many Cuban restaurants around to explore, so we'll be trying others rather than returning to this one.
