I like this little Cuban restaurant in the Normandy Isles neighborhood of Miami Beach. It's a little pricey, but the food and service are good. The interior is very no frills. There are a couple tables and a counter you can sit at. You've gotta try their salsa picante. It is sooooooo delish!

One of Miami Beach's hidden gems! Food quality and portions are amazing! Customer service is A1! The staff and service feels like you're at a house. I love the ambiance as well, cafeteria vibe but clean. Definitely have to check this place out!

All this for $5.99! Can't beat the price and the food is so yummy!

Love coming here! Only wish I would've discovered it sooner! Cute, cheap and good service! I usually come for breakfast, which is served anytime but have also had the pan con bistec/steak sandwich, which was really yummy!!

Expresso and milk! 3 personally didn't even use sugar because it was so good!

If you are in the area, come here! This place is amazing! Simple as! :) I got the Chicken in Mushroom Sauce and it was so filling! Love it!

Food is decent, cooked in a decent amount of time but please make your guests wear a shirt in your establishments. None of your other patrons want to see a half naked man with his underwear hanging out sitting at your bar. I don't believe it's too much to ask.

One of my go to spots in the neighborhood. Great prices and food selections. Food made to order. I like the steak sandwich, liver, their breakfast and croquetas.

One of the best restaurants I visited while on my trip to Miami! The food tasted very fresh and was very affordable for the amount of food served. If I lived nearby this would definitely be my go to spot.

We ordered out from here and it was delicious! I came on a Wednesday so I got the breaded fish with maduros, yellow rice (not sure if they always have yellow), and black beans. Delicious and our service was great! Everyone wore a mask inside and the restaurant was clean. We also grabbed cafe con leche before leaving and they gave us some free bread lol.

Solid Cuban place in Normandy. Croquetas, Cuban coffee is all good. The empanadas as a must try and so is the homemade spicy sauce.

Wanted a Cubano sandwich immediately upon arrival, so we came straight to Havana 1957. This spot has been recreating 1950s Havana since 2010, right down to the vintage memorabilia and the whole "Un Dia En La Habana" concept, and it's since grown into a small chain across Miami and even Vegas. The Ocean Drive location does it right: great service, very friendly and fast, food that was amazing across the board. Loved my first taste of a traditional, genuine Cuban sandwich, ham, roast pork, Swiss, pickles, mustard, all pressed together and served with a mountain of shoestring fries, as close to the source as I could ask for stateside. Ordered a rum and coke and they hand it to you in a genuinely giant glass, perfect for getting the party started, even though it was a random Monday afternoon. Vibes and atmosphere were immaculate the whole visit. Great first stop in Miami, and a great way to kick off the week that followed.

For an appetizer, we got a sampler which had ropa vieja, plantains, empanadas, shredded pork, and some large fried potatoes. I loved that so you get to try a little bit of everything. The ropa vieja tasted just like grandmas. They use ropa vieja as the filling in the empanadas. The fried potato's was steak fry cut style. It was crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Just how a perfect fry should taste! Everyone really liked the vaca frita! I think that's a must try! It's shredded beef marinated in this delicious citrus marinate. They fry it afterwards so it's pull apart, melt in your mount soft, with a nice crispy crunch to it. I think this is a must get dish. The desserts were delicious too! Ambiance is what you expect of all the south beach locations seemingly an extension of Havana if you been there. I would rank as 4 stars for the food but downgrade because they added a lot of random stuff to the menu just to get those who dont know real cuban food to eat there such as burgers and pasta lol. It would get 5 stars if they were authentic trying to offer strictly cuban only and reasonably priced. Because they take advantage of tourist and are here just for the money I lowered it to 3.
