Very snappy and unenthusiastic in helping others on the floor. Garden Isle does a good job with their daily activites for their residents as well as maintaining a happy floor staff. Steve (the co-owner) helped me prepare for spending 6 weeks on crutches, and his training and advice made a big difference to that not-so-fun experience. I went back to him several weeks later when I was off the crutches and was re-learning to walk, and again his PT help was great. He gives you lots of homework (exercises for range of motion, strength, balance), but if you stick with it, it makes a big difference. Action PT is highly recommended!

super disappointed. the administrative side is very poor. before i left the island i stopped by…read moreto ensure that i had paid everything, since my po box was never reliable. i made a payment and asked twice if that was all i owed and she said yes and reminded them i was moving off island. the receptionist assured me my account was settled. months later i received a call from a debt collector - stating i owed them money. i tried reaching out to find out what happened as i was under the impression this was settled. the receptionist told me later i had two accounts and only one was paid. so i asked if i could just pay them direct because, that is an error on their part, not mine. was repeatedly told the owners would call me back, i thought i knew him well enough to talk to him direct, but no one ever called me back. for MONTHS i had tried to reach out to them direct and kept getting the run around. then i got a lame message about how i just had to pay the creditor. no one ever spoke to me directly which is extremely disappointing for a neighborhood business and how small kauai is. this has been now going on for years and i understand people are hurting from COVID but i dont think its right to go to such great lengths at hurting people who were once your patients thinking that just because they moved off island - you can just burn them. go at your own risk. try to pay up front or risk paying more later.

I can truly say that Dr. Chihara is very well know on the island for providing flawless procedures and delivering expert advice. He first gave me advice on shoe ware. People! The type of shoes you wear matter. On Kauai we wear slippas almost all the time: this is horrible for the arch of your foot and can cause cause painful irreversible damage to those beautiful feet carrying you. Please invest in shoes such as Ulukai or Hoka. This will save your feet pain and future surgery. Those who say "Beauty is Pain" .... simply are the ignoant people who pride themselves on material rather than health. Find a great podiatrist and check out your foot health - please With the amount of doctors leaving our island, due to the way they are overloaded and sub par pay (same goes for nurses) this doctor is a treasure and precision machine. He is loved by othe professionals as well, a bone and joint doctor (Dr. Johnson) called him a "magician, he is the best!" You mention this doctors name anywhere and a giant smile is returned with overflowing compliments about him- and even his wife. I'd also like to mention his staff- Shan and Nadia. They ooz care, customer service and authenticity. I recommend Dr. Chihara for your foot needs and if you are having any issues (yeah, you know who you are) Call his office YESTERDAY- if you live on Kauai. There are long waits to see these kind of specialists and the sooner you make that call- the sooner you will have a pathway to healing ‍. Kauai is a beautiful place, but we have doctors leaving consistently due to work loads and, I feel the limited pay they receive to live in such an expensive island. He's equally invested in using laboratory tests, and medical technology, MRI, EEG, etc. He's had the medical experience at Queen's Hospital of urban Hawaii multi-ethnic and here on Kaua'i for the past decade plus. Regretfully, the one phone the clinic uses requires patience to navigate but you will be rewarded with a pleasant human being once you get through. You will not be able to leave a message and carry on with your day, but will have to persist in calling. As was said previously you will be able to see him within the week but not always that day. If your medical condition allows you to wait he's worth it!

Dr Lanson is still old school--in a good way! You don't find many physicians that still do hands on examinations. Some of the newer physicians I've seen in practice are very hands off. Dr Lanson's schedule is a busy one, but I feel that I am able to get an appointment with him in the same week that I call. It may not be the same day, but they try to accommodate you to the best of their ability. He sees patients in Lihue Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and half day on Friday. On Thursday, he is in their Princeville clinic, serving the residents of the north shore of Kaua'i as well as visitors that need to be seen for any unforeseen circumstance while on vacation but not needing emergency room services.

From what I had seen on their website, it seemed like it was open to anyone in the community, which is why I wanted to try scheduling an appointment there in the first place. I called one last time (with the intention of going directly to try to schedule an appointment), when the call was answered. Happy to have gotten in touch with someone, I politely inquired about scheduling an appointment. The receptionist was impatient and rude (when I said that neither of the doctors were my primary care physician, she snapped "You do know we're in Waimea, right?"), which was disappointing considering it is part of Ho'ola's mission to be a "model health care system distinguished by people, quality, and service." It seemed like it was a hassle for the receptionist to ask me the few simple questions that she did, and it felt like I was doing her an inconvenience by calling. Disappointed by the lack of aloha at this "community" health center.

She really examined each tooth thoroughly. She explained everything. I will go back for my work to be done soon. SAMANTHA gave me the best tooth cleaning I ever had in my life. She is a perfectionist and really has a command on her skill. She must be doing this for a long time because she knows how to clean teeth better than anyone I've ever been to and I've been to the best Dentist and Hygentist in Honolulu.
